I can think of 3 reasons why the citizens of Natlan don't leave the nation: - The constant conflicts between the tribes - Some kind of tradition that considers leaving the nation wrong - A curse prevents them from leaving (Maybe that's the reason why Bennett is so unlucky)

For obvious reasons, i like the last theory more than the other two. We would finally understand this absurd misfortune that accompanies him!

Since we know that blessings and curses are a thing in Genshin's lore (As shown in the poetry event with Diona) I'm most certain that Bennett does have some kind of curse, so I like that last theory better.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@nosalgodemiPC yeah it would make sense that they would incur in some kind of retribution from leaving Natlan, but there's something in the back of my mind that says "Bennett is from Mare Jivari", and that is worrying. Mare Jivari is an extremely dangerous place where people either give up on the exploration or they simply die, and since it's full of treasure, it feels like the ruins of an ancient city, which makes me think it's the ancient city of Yith that they keep repeating lately. So maybe his misfortune may be the result of being born in Mare Jivari, but since we know literally nothing about Natlan and Mare Jivari, everything goes right now!

I also really like the last theory, but I'd like to raise another point. My dad plays Genshin- he's currently on his way to Liyue. I've been discussing minor bits of lore with him, in part because we both like a good story, but also because he's working towards a degree in history and he's an author. He has a bit of insight into what could be happening with Natlan. Here's what we came up with: 1) It's possible that the people of Natlan find it too difficult to cross the region between it and the other nations. After all, it's quite possible that the Mare Jivari (or maybe a highly dangerous volcanic region) is in-between Natlan and Sumeru Desert, and we all know how dangerous and difficult to traverse that area is. It's like a desert on crack, and deserts like the Sahara have historically deterred people from interacting with nations beyond the sands. That doesn't mean no one ever tried- people did manage to cross the Sahara eventually, and the same goes for the Great Red Sands/Mare Jivari/whatever is in-between Natlan and the other nations because we know Vennessa's tribe made it through the region at some point. They must've had a pretty big reason to, like maybe dragons becoming more hostile towards their tribe specifically or the wars becoming too difficult for the Children of Murata to handle. They might've even been hunted due to their affiliation with the former Pyro Archon, which could be the result of a battle to earn that title taking place that might span back all the way to Vennessa's time. (Yes, this theory is inspired. I'll let you guess by who.) (Also this could be another nod to Natlan's inspiration. The ocean separated the Americas from the other continents for thousands of years before anyone decided to cross it.) 2) Natlan is extremely xenophobic, which would make sense due to its inspirations. Natives (both North and South American) have always been wary of outsiders due to some... certain people. My dad also brought up that some conquistadors in the Americas were known as "dragoons" due to their weapons, which you can look up on Wikipedia if you'd like to read more. Maybe Hoyoverse is going for a play on words with Latin American history and the dragons we hear about are/were invaders in Natlan, causing the nation to fear and hate outsiders. Maybe that is all in the past, but a Harbinger looking to win a tournament could use that history to cause some tension between the people of Natlan and the dragons they live with. 3) A combination of the previous two as well as war and/or a curse could be making it extremely difficult for the people of Natlan to exit their nation. This is the most likely option, historically speaking. That is, if Hoyoverse plans to base Natlan on the Americas as much as they did with other nations and their inspirations. What do you think?

Yeah, most likely. But then again, in this case, the current national situation would be going on for more than 1000 years, not just since the cataclysm... What if the Natlan's Pyro's Archon represents the torch like in the Olympics? Every four years, the Olympics occur and the fire is always kept alive. The fire's message in the Olympics is "peace and friendship". What if the war is what's keeping the peace? In addition, Bennett's birthday also only have his birthday every 4 years and he finally has his birthday this year!! We even have the Olympics 2024! (in Paris, France apparently, right after we had Fontaine lol) There might be a connection.

@@ShadowX5452Gaming There was an interesting comment under another venti theory video I watched recently which said, “All the Archons show weird reverses of their ideals. Venti is constrained by his 'freedom'. Zhongli signs a contract to not have any more contracts, and resigns his contractual obligations. Ei finds 'eternity' in things changing and coming to an end. Nahida has to remove 'wisdom' and keep people 'ignorant'. Therefore my predictions: So God of Justice finds redemption from the 'Guilty'. The God of War fights for 'Peace'. And the God of love's 'love' causes her to 'hate.“ Based on the Olympic fire’s theme being “peace” matches with this theory.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@faerieinwonderland well, excluding Zhongli, Ei and Nahida, because they make completely sense, is Venti really constrained by peace, though? Everything he does, is literally freedom. If anything, it's the people of Mondstadt who are constraining themselves despite their freedom, considering how much they revere Barbatos instead of doing whatever they want. And is finding redemption for the guilty the opposite of Justice? Justice should be, by definition, also a way to give a second chance to those who have wronged, although the Fontainians have done anything wrong in the first place. It would actually make more sense that Egeria, despite being the God of Justice, did something "illegal" by going against the hevanely principles. As for Natlan and Snezhnaya, I could agree with war being a means to achieve peace in Natlan, it can make sense and it may be why people choose to go there on vacation. If it's a peaceful place, then why not? But when it comes to the Tsaritsa, I still think she's going to be the God of Peace and not the God of Love. If you're interested, I have a video about Snezhnaya in which I explain my point of view on this topic.

It's possible that ALL tribes are constantly at war and skirmishing with each other and theres no actual "tournament" it's just like ritualistic war with structure. They may never fight to the death and people may always yield when defeated so there no attrition happening. Likely it's just an honorable requirement that you fight for your tribe, and leaving natlan of course means you arent doing that so they just dont leave. Traders in this case would still come and go, travellers likely wouldnt be harmed and allowed passage. venessa's tribe obviously was a special case and were exiled for some reason a long long time ago, maybe they were BLAMED for murata's death at that time.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
But if that was the case, then Capitano wouldn't have been able to join the fight, he doesn't belong to any tribe. Plus, that doesn't really explain why the people of Natlan are nowhere to be found in Teyvat. It is the land of war, but that doesn't mean that every single person is a warrior, just like in the land of Justice, not everyone is just.
@Necrochaosium
@Necrochaosium 5 месяцев назад
@@ShadowX5452Gaming It's possible every has "warrior service" before doing their chosen vocation and maybe they're still honorbound to not leave their tribe. There is also no reason why capitano couldnt be there, i'm sure warriors would always be wanting to test their mettle and skills against foreign warriors since they worship war so much. Maybe theres also ways for foreigners to participate in the internal battles in natlan as a mercenary we dont know their customs at all.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@Necrochaosium yeah, it could be that everyone is raised as a warrior whether they like it or not, and then they can also work based on their interests. The problem with Capitano is that, yes, if Natlaners are warriors, they would want to fight against other people, but Capitano is the most righteous of the Harbingers, and his goal in Natlan is to get the gnosis. He doesn't sound like a person who would join a tournament because he feels like fighting, instead of completing his mission. Of course, there are countless reasons why he could have ended up in the ring, the possibility are endless. He could have met someone who wants to be a righteous knight like him and he decided to join the fight out of respect for this person's honor. Everything is possible...
@Necrochaosium
@Necrochaosium 5 месяцев назад
@@ShadowX5452Gaming it's possible that the winner of this "tournament" of yours gets to become the vassal for the resurrection of murata's spirit (recieving the gnosis) and they do allow anyone to try. Given that the natlan people might train their whole life for it it's not likely most outsiders will get past the first couple of stages. Capitano and the traveller of course will.(traveller may enter to stop capitano getting it maybe?) But then one who will eventually recieve murata's spirit will also be in the competition, the actual murata who joins the traveller as playable in 5.2 The archon quest when it concludes in 5.X will then probably allow all natlans to leave as the "event" has been resolved. Just my tinfoil theory :)
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@Necrochaosium yeah, that's basically the theory I went for in the video. The people of Natlan have to participate in the tournament to both give Murata energy to keep alive and to find the perfect vessel she's looking for, anyone can enter, which means Capitano as well, because he need to recover the gnosis, so the best way to get it is to just win, but the perfect vessel is also fighting and she will win, becoming the new Archon. I mean, that's the most reasonable theory I could come up with. Though, it would be nice if the people will finally be free to leave once the Archon is finally resurrected and we start seeing a lot of them everywhere!

Somehow I think Liben falling into a pit and spending a few days in there without starving is some kind od Natlan foreshadowing we didn't decrypt yet. Something like Natlan is so hot that nothing grows in there and people of Natlan live off some other sort of energy present only in Natlan; if they left, they'd starve to death due to lack of that energy.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
Hmmm, I mean, what Liben told us certainly has some kind of relevance we haven't figured out, but considering how he specifically said that he doesn't even want to go to Natlan, I think it has something to do with something else, probably something that will come up either before or completely after Natlan. I also don't think that Natlan is so barren that they don't have natural resources. I mean, people go there eon vacation and they certainly don't survive just because of the hotsprings. If it's a tourist destination, it's going to be a "normal" nation. Plus, it would sound too much like Khaenri'ah at that point... I don't know, it feels more reasonable to think that they have to stay in Natlan because of the tournament and Murata's resurrection. An imposed national and moral duty
@lexical450
@lexical450 5 месяцев назад
I like the version where they don't leave Natlan due to some kind of coercion, like getting some major negative trait if they get X amount of meters away from their homeland. But i'm very intrigued about the idea that you brought up, regarding the possibility that they could be working together as a nation, to actively help their Archon as a collective force. Maybe they don't leave because they need every single native, to be at all times working towards that singular goal. So leaving would be viewed as a sign of disrespect to their societal norms/rules, might be another instance of cultural behavior dictating ones actions via a directed upbringing/peer pressure. Hell, maybe the whole negative trait thing could even be a last resort measure, to ensure that absolutely no one native to Natlan, can actually leave even if they wanted to.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
I mean, Tenoch was literally hated by everybody and no clan wanted him, but when it came to the Pyro Archon and defending hair own land, every clan leader joined the fight with him, so yeah, maybe there's this sense of national teamwork that has been forced upon them as some sort of cultural trait since birth, and now they're using it for their Archon. I mean, there has to be a reason why there's no one from Natlan anywhere, but people from other nations can go and come back whenever they want... Even if they wanted to keep Natlan a secret, the NPCs could have simply not talked about Natlan when we interacted with them.

FYI I already commented this in the replies to another comment, but since I kind of went off the rails with my theories I decided to make it its own comment. Listen, I love the theory that it's a curse that's preventing the people of Natlan from leaving, but I'd like to raise a more detailed point. Even though it's technically an Inazuman secret, so something that would affect those people, not the rest of the world, the people from Liyue could just know about it. The problem is that the people of Inazuma were forced not leave a few years ago, when the Sakoku Decree was enacted. If the rest of the world knew about the twin gods, someone from Inazuma who was living or trading abroad before the Sakoku Decree, would have learned about it. As a consequence, since Ganyu does talk about the gatherings, it would make more sense that she attended one of them and saw for herself that Makoto had a twin, since Ei accompanied her.

I have a theory that native Natlan people can't leave their region due to a curse of sorts. My main point is Bennett, and if we actually consider him being a native Natlantean. What if his 'bad luck' is actually a curse of being far away from Natlan? like how Fontainians can dissolve in water. Let's see it like this, Natlan is a big bonfire, if a piece of ember strays away from the fire it will eventually be snuffed out and extinguished by the elements, so they have to stick together and fuel the raging fire (war) to continue burning (living), without war they will die out. Or perhaps in very rare cases, even single ember can continue to burn despite being far away from Natlan like Bennett (perhaps him being a vision holder could explain it)

Finally I was so starved for Natlan content and your served! I believe in your theory mortal obligation of the peoples of Natlan not being able to leave because anyone could be called upon to sacrifice themselves. And as for the perfect vessel, everyone jokes and say Benny-boy is the true Archon.. it’s probably not going to be the case but I really hope he’s involved in the story somehow. One other person compares him to a horcrux from Harry Potter due to how he brings misfortune to him and everyone around him and the Gnoses are somewhat similar because they are objects of misfortune. Therefore he may be a Gnosis. But yeah it’s possible that Murata’s new vessel is probably a girl due to a “she” mentioned in Travail. (This person is Genshin Bane btw)

Whether it's going to be what the writers went with, it's a completely different thing XD I do believe Bennet is going to come up in Natlan, although I think he's going to appear when Mare Jivari is released, rather than Natlan in general. I highly doubt that he's a gnosis, but as another viewer commented, his misfortune may be the result of a person from Natlan who leaves their nation, since they may be not supposed to. And yeah, the Archon is obviously going to be a woman. nah capitano is described to be the strongest individual, i bet hes on par with raiden in terms of power. theres also a theory that hes menogias so yeah, i find it hard to believe that we will meet someone even stronger to inherit the gnosis. not to mention that fatui also has columbina who might show up in natlan too. if anything i think we ourselves will be the one to try to get the gnosis for someone else, but then either fail or end up giving it to fatui willingly since its a "misfortune" or whatever. i really hope they go with this route since this could be the endgame combat content we waited for so long😭

I really like your take on the "resurrection" of the Natlan quest. Taking over the body of the winner. You also back up your theory with mythologies and knowledge in Latin. But old Sumeru and Fontaine theories I really believed and well-written was still debunked. Yours might also be despite sounding so good. I still stick to the "Phoenix resurrection" theory. Where Murata is still the same Murata. Similar to Nahida and Rukkadhevata, Murata will be the same person but different personalities with each incarnation. Because the criteria of getting a pyro vision is "passing on the torch" I believe it's going to be old Murata passing on the responsibility to the next incarnation of Murata. This makes a lot of sense with Ganyu's statement and also why the seat has technically changed. A new but still the same.

Maybe most of the people in Natlan are part dragon now, and as we've seen with most of the dragons we've meet in genshin they don't really like to leave their territory. The reason i say this is because neuvillette says that "people and dragons coexist together" and we also know some vishaps can turn into people. Also Iansan "the only official Natlan character to be released so far" has long ears and tiny fangs which could mean she is part dragon.

I don't know if I doubt it or if I hope it's not true, because it would kinda feel bad. Despite that, we know that these dragons have basically become humans' companions, so that would mean they are not the same species, plus Bennett is from Natlan but his ears are not elf-like. The people from Vanessa's tribe are originally from Natlan (the original tribe left generations before), but they don't have elf ears as well. It is strange, though, that we have never been told what kinda of "humans" the people with those ears are... Also, why wouldn't they leave Natlan if they were dragons? I can understand them being territorial, but since there are other people with elf ears in all of Teyvat, wouldn't that mean that they did leave at some point?

But then again, people can easily go to Natlan on vacation, and there's Lectoure who has a girlfriend in Natlan, so it could even be isolated, like an island detached from the main continent, but people can clearly travel back and forth and there's even a port, it seems. So, if people can go to Natlan that easily, the people from Natlan shouldn't have any kind of problem traveling as well. The reason must be something else. I also doubt it could ever be more isolated than Inazuma, being an Archipelago way off into the ocean.

I have a small theory due to Vanessa's tribe not knowing of Murata the the Lady of Fire. What if she's just in a dead sleep to be reincarnated like a Phoenix and while she's "dead" the tribes believe there is no archon and are trying to obtain the gnosis. I mean it's pretty odd that Vanessa and her elders didn't know or talk about Murata. Also as to why the people of Natlan aren't out there, maybe if they leave they will no longer be welcomed back or maybe they'll be cursed, or maybe they are afraid to be enslaved because Vanessa's tribe never returned?
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
So, there's something that needs to be clarified about Vanessa's story. I remember reading something about the translation from Chinese to English of the manga, and "muratan" was supposed to mean "Natlaner", but that's not the actual important thing here. Vanessa has never seen Natlan, she wasn't even born there, and the sages never taught the member of the tribes about their nation, because they were too preoccupied by fleeing and surviving. Vanessa says that her people spent generations wandering the sea of grass, which means that they left Natlan at least 60 years before Vanessa's birth, which is the average length of two generations. It could Mena that they left even earlier, but not later than that to account for the "generations" Vanessa talks about. So the fact that she doesn't know about Natlan and Murata, has already been explained in the manga. The fact that the tribes may think that they have no Archon is also incorrect, because in the Talking Stick, Tenoch says that the Pyro Archon went to fight in Khaenri'ah, so they had a Archon back then and they were aware of her existence. Plus, Rukkhadevata told us that the seven were summoned in Khaenri'ah except for herself, because she needed to fix Irminsul, so 6 Archons did go to Khaenri'ah during the cataclysm. As for the reasons why they are nowhere to be found, the first one can't be right, because in a whole nation, there would be at least one person who wouldn't care about not being welcomed back and still left. The people of Inazuma knew that they would have had to face the capital sentence if they left during the Sakoku Decree, and they left anyway. About the curse, it could explain why Bennett is unexplainably unlucky, and that may be something that began when their Archon died in Khaenri'ah. As for being afraid of being enslaved, it doesn't make much sense as well, because Vanessa's tribe was eventually freed and they became integral part of Mondstadt, with Vanessa institution the Knights of Favonius. They didn't return, but just as they, hypothetically, knew that they were enslaved, they would have known that they were also freed.

So Amber or Signora becoming the Pyro Archon isnt entirely copium anymore. The people of Natlan could also not want to leave simply due to being prideful dragons, just as we saw with the Sumeru Dragon being so prideful that she'd reject any help from the Archon herself or any other human. And im sure Childe out of all of them would be considered the "battle junkie" more so than Capitano, dude is just strong just to uphold his rightful duties as a knight. And since he heard rumors of resurrection... could he be trying to bring back Signora? Its a contradiction considering as a knight, he took her death with the utmost respect, even calling her by her exact name and not saying "Signora", from the video Winter's Lazzo. Him trying to bring her back can be seen as being disrespectful.... maybe Signora does return regardless without his doing?
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
Why would Amber or Signora become a Pyro Archon anyway? Still, I don't think the people of Natlan are dragons. They coexist with them, like Neuvillette said, and they use them as mounts, like in the Talking Stick. Capitano did call her Lohefalter, but it doesn't really sound like he cared too much about her. I mean, he didn't really say good things about her, since he thinks she tarnished her honor. Him calling her by her last name, sounds more like a captain of an army calling his soldiers. Different is Arlecchino, for example, who calls her Rosalyne, which should imply some form of friendship. So, him wanting to resurrect Signora, feels off, like would he really care?

@amandaslough125 5 месяцев назад
@@ShadowX5452GamingI forget the more indepth details, but there has been a theory he was her old lover (or at least, loves her), and is secretly resurrecting her. But he also had been an option. That or Dottore clone, or Vessel for the Tsarista being two other Signora ressurection options.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@amandaslough125 apart form the fact that, just because Capitano calls her by her last name, doesn't really make him a lover, so I don't really understand where that theory could even come from, the whole Archon Quest is called Incandescent Ode of Resurrection, which means that the resurrection should be related to the Archon rather than another character no one has even mentioned since the Winter Night's Lazzo video. Except for Mondstadt, because it was an Archon quest dedicated to getting to know the traveler, the names of the Archon Quests always explain what is going on with the Archon of that specific nation, so I don't really see how Signora could become the main character here. I highly doubt that they're going to resurrect Signora in general, to be honest. I think that what Venti told her about her face, was probably a hint at what the Tsaritsa looks like, so her "return" will simply be the Tsaritsa, who is the face Signora copied. Two people who look identical, one starting the game in the first nation of Teyvat, and one closing the game in the "last" nation of Teyvat (ignoring for a second the last chapter, which is probably going to be Khaenri'ah in the past).

Nice! I'd switch one thing, though - I think Murata will tell her secret to the Traveler _before_ the Tournament, and Capitano will win. This is because the Tsaritsa _has to_ obtain all the gnoses. It would be an incredible narrative let down if we build up for four years to the collection of all seven gnoses... and never see the payoff. For the climax of the story, the Tsaritsa has to (at least for a while) win. And we don't know anything about Capitano - he may very well be the one destined for this since birth.

Hmm... But if she tells us the secret before the tournament, which is endless and is happening still, since Capitano threw himself in the ring of fire, then the Archon Quest would be over before it even began. Anyway, when it comes to the gnosis, I think we are going to keep this one. The secret the Pyro Archon wants to share with us, may be the actual gnosis and what the Tsaritsa intends to do with all seven of them. Think about it: if we are trying to stop the Tsaritsa since the beginning of the game and she got the last gnosis in 5.3, then why would we spend our time going around Natlan for 5 whole updates before going to Snezhnaya? And why wouldn't she simply immediately do what she plans to once she got the last gnosis? If we got this gnosis, then she would have to wait for us to go to Snezhnaya and convince us (or force us) to give it to her. As for Capitano, if he's the one destined to win, it would kinda be weird... But we also don't really know for sure what the tournament is for, so... Maybe?

Even if Rukhadevata was erased, that still leaves two Archons for Sumeru. The first one was King Deshret. He got the Gnosis, even tho he didn't want it in the beginning. Sumeru gods didn't want to fight each other, 'cause they were friends, and they decided to make him the god of Sumeru, with Nabu Malikata and Rukhadevata "helping" him, kinda like adepti in Liyue. Then Nabu Malikata died, King Deshret went mad and also died, and only Rukhadevata was left. So she became second Dendro Archon. So after everyone forgot about her, Nahida was the second one. The other thing is that Zhongli isn't affected by Irminsul changes, as he still mentions Rukhadevata, so he in fact knows that Nahida is third Archon.

Do we have any confirmation that Ganyu has never left Liyue? There's that whole thing where she used to meet with Yae and them being rather close, yet no indicators which of them traveled or where they met. Yae bringing up sending/bringing Sea Ganoderma's to/for Ganyu since they are a rare exotic treat for the vegetarian. I also think the translation you're using for the En Travail trailer might be a little wrong. ""Arise, brave and determined warriors!". Walk to a newborn victory!" The "newborn" here seems to tie in with the "reanimation poem" in the title of the chapter, and the "loser becomes an embers, and the victor is rekindled" in the PV From other translation theories, at least the 'man' part is non gendered and can also refer to strong women which makes it a little less like direct connotations to Capitano.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
There is no confirmation about Ganyu not leaving Liyue, but we know she's been working non stop since liyue harbor was founded, while we saw Yae Miko abroad in Sumeru, so she looks like someone who would travel. The translation of the Travail video is not something I'm using, it's something I translated myself because I studied Latin. There is no "brave and determined" anywhere, not does it talk about warriors. It says "surge vir fortis", which means "rise (surge) strong (fortis) man (vir, singular)". There's no "walk", but just a sense of direction with the "i", and "natam victoriam" where natam means "destined" and victoriam is "victory". Destined is the best translation among the various meaning of natus, a, um, because the others don't really fit with victoriam. What you're using is a free translation with an underlying interpretation that goes far from the actual sentence, I would say. But yes, I do agree that "Vir" is not intended as man, like in the gender, but something like "person", so it can be either a man or a woman. But translating vir with warriors, is a little bit too much liberty of translation

Here's my hypothesis as to why the people of Natlan can't leave: They have a civil war going on so bloody that everyone has picked a side and is fighting. I suspect that they have several tribes that are all at war with one another and vying for dominance and each tribal member believes it to be their duty to fight in this war to make their tribe the one and only true Natlan. I suspect that what kicked off this war was the power vaccum created in the wake of Murata's death. Perhapse the tournament was a recent developement to finally put an end to the war and, like you suggested, they somehow know that Murata's spirit will possess the winner, possibly due to her final words indicating such.

@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
The problems with this theory are two: 1) it is the land of war, but I wouldn't expect any real war happening there, just like justice in Fontaine ended up being an opera performance 2) if there's a war, no one would even think about going to Natlan on vacation. Yet, people can't wait to have some time off from work and go there The six tribes have always been at "war" with each other, but I don't think they are still actually fighting, like war kind of fighting. Something may have changed when Tenoch gathered all 6 tribe leaders to fight against the Cataclysm.

So far what Ganyu said at the beginning still add up. Nahida is still the youngest. Since Focalors was alive before the cataclysm and nahida born somewhere during it. @ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
Yeah, I think I said this in another video too. When Ganyu talks about Nahida, it's about her actual age, not her ruling time. I brought that back because, if there has been a new Archon in Natlan every 100 years and they are the winners of the tournaments, they would be younger. That is until the Archon keeps resurrecting (although a failed resurrection), so it's her age that counts and not the winner's.... It's weird...

I actually have a small theory myself. I think the reason they can’t leave is because of where they’re located beside the desert and Fontaine. Looking at Fontaines waterfall located near Romaritime Harbor to the right of the statue of the seven. We can see there’s a second waterfall going down from the main Fontaine waterfall to an unreachable future area. It’s ironically beside the desert and Fontaine and a massive Long Island. I’m assuming that’s Natlan. And if Fontaine didn’t build a elevator for Natlan’s people to reach Fontaine then there’s simply no way for them to leave. Natlan seems they’re the least technologically advanced so maybe just simply aren’t there yet. I also support this claim as they’re very tribal and in war. If we’re going based on history and how far back they’re going for Native American time periods then yeah it’s pretty self explanatory. I just don’t think they can leave but somehow other people can enter. But I’m not sure how they could if there’s a waterfall blocking Natlan from the rest of Tevyat.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
The problem with this theory is, though, that people go to Natlan pretty easily. There's also Augustus Lovelace who said that he could have just gone west from the desert in Sumeru and he would have reached Natlan. So it may be harder to get to Fontaine because of the two waterfalls on different levels, but Natlan would be at the same height as Sumeru

Natlan people remind me of some actual isolated place irl. First, If we look at manga, apparently vanessa is a slave in mondstat, honestly i wondering why and how vanessa's tribe end up as slaves there, but it make sense if this is one of reason natlan people wary to go to other nation due to their past experiences. They made vanessa's tribe as cautionary tales for citizen who want to leave natlan. Second, despite natlan itself is a nation, they might be didn't guarantee safety of people from other tribes. So if someone stepped on other tribes territory, the ruling tribe can do whatever to the tresspassers. (Including killing/sacrifice them maybe?) Last reason is inspired by a actual village in china where all the resident are extremely wealthy, but if they want to leave the village, they need to leave everything they have. Or maybe the reason could be any combination of above reason, or none, who knows. Based on these theory, people who leave natlan might be ended as slaves, dead, or poor. Although other simple reason maybe natlan just geographically isolated and we're only able to enter through certain place (& guarded by certain 'people') just like how we enter the chasm, or enkanomiya, or inazuma during sakoku decree 😅
@fri-cd6xy
@fri-cd6xy 5 месяцев назад
For the first reason above, i wonder maybe why some npc that talk about the natlan is commoner/merchant. do they have restriction of who/when/ how many people can visit this nation? Are high profile person (esp related to other nation, due to fear they might come to colonize) allowed to enter? Ngl, it'd be funny if the cool, strong, chill guy we met in natlan is the disguising harbringer 😂 (you know who)
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming 5 месяцев назад
@@fri-cd6xy I mean, it would make sense to use Vanessa's tribe as a cautionary tale, so that people wouldn't leave, but I doubt that not even one single madman wouldn't try to leave anyway. Even if they have to leave everything behind, someone would have left anyway, just like the people from Inazuma left the nation during the Sakoku Decree knowing that they wouldn't be able to come back, if they even managed to pass through the storm. The geography doesn't seem to be a problem, because people go to Natlan on vacation and there is at least one port, since Lectoure is waiting to sail again to meet her loved one in Natlan. Even if there's one one way out and it's guarded to prevent the people of Natlan from leaving, surely someone would have found a way to bypass them in thousands of years. As for the people going to Natlan, Monglane is just an office worker, so it doesn't feel like they have a specific list of people who can enter... Natlan is becoming more and more of a secret, the more we know about it!

You know it’s weird that I actually agree with most of what you’re saying the only differences that I still believe that there is a current pyro archon in natlan and your theory somewhat is similar to mine, so here’s what I think I believe the og pyro archon is actually dead or at least half dead i believe the pyro archon and the pyro dragon could be siblings both created or being born thx to the pyro archon themselves since every archon is a species native to there land and natlan is a nation of dragons then it could be possible that the current Pyro Arcvhon and Pyros sovereign could be half siblings the only thing they share is being born from primal fire which would make them half siblings, and the endless ring of war could be a result of of murata being the new god of war and the pyro archon if the theory of pyro vision users having a theme of passing to church or continuing legacy is true then it could be that the endless ring of war could be a result of the Pyro Aran and the Pyro sovereign having a falling out with each other and the war that has been happening for 500 years in natlan could be a result of three of the tribes fighting the other three the ones that worshiped the Pyro Arcon, and the ones that were worshiped the Pyro sovereign in the end I think murata knows that the Pyros sovereign has a victory that rightfully belongs to them by birth, that being the authority of the pyro element I think kinda like how furina and neuvillette had this father daughter dynamic it can be the same with the Pyro Arcon and the Pyro sovereign having this sister brother dynamic with Murata being the older sibling who might actually be trying to reason with the younger one but the pyro sovereign only wants his authority back even if it means fighting her in the end I believe Murata and the pyro sovereign will have an epic battle with all the people of natlan watching and just like Murata in Honkai died fighting but not actually killing Kiana she will die the same with her idk what she would say to him but considering Genshin parallels Honkai impact 3rd murata could’ve been a sister teacher to the pyro sovereign and her final words to him would be “this is my final lesson” like what himeko says to Kiana (I am legit tearing up right now and we don’t even know what their dynamic is yet dear god) and she dies in his arms with a smile just like the smile himeko gives Kiana in her death in the end the Pyros sovereign doesn’t end up, earning anything from this battle, this could be the reason on why murata tried to reason with him even though she is the god of war, I believe her ideal of war is more so passion and the will to fight for what you believe is right but what the Pyros sovereign is doing is that they’re fighting for something that they themselves want rather then the benefits of the people and with the people of natlan watching muratas death though losing the battle but still fighting to the end there belief and war becomes so passionate and bright that they could pray to her even though she’s dead and with the people having the belief of war being so strong murata will turn to ash and be resurrected through the belief in the people for true strength is not by sheer physical power or martial prowess but the ability to still keep fighting for what you believe in to the point of death that’s the true meaning of war to murata and honestly this makes for a much more interesting story, because if the people are able to resurrect a God through their beliefs, and that would make human ambition stronger than it actually is in lore plus in all the things murata says in descriptions it’s always talking about a man, so it’s likely her talking to the Pyro sovereign as for what I think capitano does in natlan Well, I’m not really sure I was kind of underwhelmed by arlecchino since she didn’t really show to the important plot point in the story and was really just there to be honest I mean, she did do some stuff in Fontaine but she wasn’t the major focus like other archon quest where the fatui are usually one of the main focus in the archon quest but arlecchino didn’t really have much importance in Fontaines story so I really don’t know what capitano will do as for the boss of natlan well it’s possible capitano but idk this is just speculation after all and we really know anything about the guy. Now for the og archon lore it could be once murata dies she meets her predecessor and the predecessor is the one who tells her the secret that dain talks abt which leads to murata giving this secret to the traveler I think the twist of the Pyro sovereign and the Pyro Arcon being half siblings we really interesting since it can better show the dynamic between the sovereign and and the archons anyways as far as why nobody in natlan is leaving well it could simply be because of the 500 year war I think hoyo has made it somewhat clear that the people of natlan are a pride nation were they don’t leave behind their nation if need even arlecchino talks about it basically being disgraceful about leaving your homeland so like we would all see any people from natlan due to them not wanting to leave they have pride, and who they are they have pride in their nation, and they have pride in the war that they’re fighting, even if it last for a millennia I also kinda believe xianyan and Bennett could have their origins be from natlan since xianyan is in pretty sure blasian and Bennett could be from the tribe lansan is in To be honest when I first clicked on your video, I thought I might disagree with a lot of stuff, but I actually ended up liking the video much more than I actually thought I would so great job I think we both need to start considering each other’s theory, since it always leads to an argument and I don’t want arguments especially since you’re my favorite ik I can be disrespectful sometimes so I’m going to try to start seeing Genshin lore in your eyes but I’m still a firm believer that the tsaritsa is bronya especially since an OB development of the game it was confirmed that the cryo- archon would be bronya You can look it up and do your research it’s there.

I mean, we know so little about Natlan that everything is possible right now, which means that even this brother and sister dynamic between the Pyro Archon and sovereign could be a possibility. Now, I don't really think they would go again for her death, even despite the reclsurrection from the ashes, because it would be too identical to Honkai Impact, so it would be a repetition and people wouldn't be happy at all. I never played Honkai Impact, but I've seen Himeko's death so many times, even I would be pissed if that happened in Genshin Impact as well. The fact that they keep mentioning a man, to be honest, could mean a lot or could mean nothing at all, just as much as saying "God", doesn't define a gender in this game, but it could make sense if it's the Pyro sovereign since he is the original owner of the land, so him getting back his authority would be something he was supposed to do since birth. I honestly don't know if they'll give another sovereign his authority back afret Neuvillette, though. I also wonder why wouldn't Neuvillette be welcomed in Natlan, by the way. Why would they hate him so much? When it comes to the people, even if they thought it was disgraceful or wrong, there will always be someone who couldn't care less about it and that would decide to leave. It's unrealistic for every single person to stay in a nation just because it can be considered disgraceful, there's always a rebel somewhere, that's why I think they are being kept there out of an imposed duty they can't subtract themselves from. I would even think that there's something that may happen to them if they left, which would be more reasonable. Something magical that leaves the nation open for everybody but the natives can't leave. As for Xinyuan, she's from Liyue and has nothing to do with Natlan. If I remember correctly, people from southern China have dark skins (I might be wrong about the exact location though). As for Bennett, there are 6 tribes, so figuring out which one was his parents' is impossible. He looks a little like Iansan, but we also don't know if that's a common appearance as well because, as before, there's no one from Natlan anywhere. As for us agreeing or disagreeing, I don't mind when people disagree with my theories, I mind about the behavior. I upload theories, not facts, so it's obvious that people will have different ideas, and I'm okay with that. I mean, even Einstein's theories are being discussed and people disagree with them on some points, because those are theories. Even though Einstein guessed (can we even call them guesses, though?) correctly lots of stuff that we are now actually learning they were right, there are other things he said that are actually wrong and scientists are looking for a better theory. Now, if even Einstein's theories can be wrong, I most definitely don't believe that my theories are 100% right, but that doesn't change the fact that, unless there's something that really changes my mind, I will keep thinking that my theories are most likely to be right. In that case, I just don't want people to force me to forget about my theories in favor of other theories I don't believe in. That's all.

@@ShadowX5452Gaming why would I hate your next video? I was more worried about the natlan one because I thought we would have a lot of disagreements, but I actually agreed with a lot of the stuff that you were saying also about hoyo giving back another sovereign authority there’s a 50-50 chance of that one, because if my theory is correct, and the pyro sovereign does win the battle against the Pyro Archon then he still doesn’t end up with the authority since folcalors had to build a 500 years of energy just to destroy her divine throne and her divinity so it’s likely that he won’t get his authority back, but will realize how pointless a battle is without honor or respect I mean think about this when you fight someone for a prize that price doesn’t really last long it’s a scientific fact that human experiences are much more valuable than owning objects so if you win a battle against a powerful person that’s you hated wouldn’t it feel empty at that point I mean you won the battle, but who truly won the war if muratas death ends up stoping the war after losing the battle but still getting high praise and respect who truly won the war, the person who didn’t end up getting there authority back despite fighting for 500 years just to get it or the person who sacrificed their life just to end the war and the peoples suffering to end the pointless violence, and pain and the idea of the pyro archon dying and how it would be too similar to himeko is your opinion, I think having those two parallels will just make muratas death even more sad especially since himeko died so Kiana could have a second chance at life so would it not be fitting if murata died to give the Pyros a second chance if realization on how he has been making people suffer for a war that could’ve ended ages ago if he would’ve just talked first I’m not sure a lot of people are going to be angry at Hoyoverse making the pyro archon die especially since it has already been established that himeko dies in every universe that she’s in if anything I think the story would be better if they do add that since himeko dying is a core part of her character

@@isaiahhaley4816 wouldn't star rail be more connected to Honkai Impact rather than genshin? I mean, Welt comes from the Honkai Impact universe. Still, I would be extremely pissed if Himeko died in Star Rail, to be honest, so I really hope that she's not fated to die in every universe. Honkai Impact doesn't have a character that can change the fare of the world, star rail and genshin impact do, so maybe she will avoid death because of the main character. I honestly don't see how death can be the core element of a character, though... It would just be repetitive, at least in my opinion. Before 2.0, there was an Inazuma person in Liyue (besides Kazuha) who decided to go “f#ck it” and left. Absolutely no one from Natlan has tried that? No one trained so hard that they could defeat all of the anti-emigrant border patrol? I haven’t done it the quest, but there’s some 4.2 NPC that helped some people out of Natlan. They parted ways after crossing the border, so those others are not available to interview. That's the point, the fact that no one from Natlan is around is very sus, considering how people managed to flee inazuma despite both the Sakoku Decree and the storm out at sea, so the reason must be something different from simply "there's someone stopping them". That's why I tried to find a solution among things that require the people to stay in Natlan from a different perspective, so not because there's a physical obstacle (like geography or guards), but because of something pertaining magic or something similar.
