We talk a lot about Cj’s success, and the pride we feel seeing it. What we don’t talk about much is mentors. To do damn near anything well in life requires motivation … and a good/great mentor. That’s why I am excited. I think DeMeco is that great mentor. Every time I hear him talk I’m impressed. I think DeMeco is amazing, best coach in HTown since Bum Phillips - the locker room celebration after we beat Indy was legendary

They built a team by filling holes with affordable competent FAs so that they could do anything they wanted in the draft. That's what made the turnaround so quick. They're doing the same again this off-season and it's awesome to see.

Glad I found your channel Seth, been listening to your takes on Houston radio for years. Your takes are great and your hilarious at times. CJ is legit so we're moving forward faster than projected. Id like a legit DT in the middle and another veteran corner and possibly a veteran receiver.

I don't know why anyone is surprised the national media has always treated this franchise as a footnote. The team has to win and especially win when they are on a national televised game and it's against a good team. Personally I'm ok with the MSM down playing us. Let them to their own peril.

I don’t think Texans are going San Fran’s approach. We can take it all the way back to Gary Kubiak who let’s not forget comes from the same System Kyle Shanahan came from, not just that but Texans approach to the draft has always been defense comes first unless there’s a rare specimen or desperate need in offense that they’re going to take in the first round and that comes from ownership as well. It’s more of a Texans approach more than an anything especially having Demeco Ryan’s as HC and being Kubiaks Successor on following his plan and keep on doing what was being done then more than now.

Pass rush is going to be even more important with the rule changes. A completed pass is so much harder to stop now if you're even with or behind the receiver...

Tired of hearing San Fran. Was Cush chopped liver in the Kubiak era? Was JJ a bust? How about JJo? Did the Texans not have the best defense in the league at one time? (Thanks, Son of Bum) Maybe coaching, maybe mediocre QB kept the Texans out of the big games, but it damned sure wasn't our front. Yes, Kubes learned from Mike Shanahan and then employed his son, Kyle. Mike Shanahan apprenticed under Bill Walsh (and also Dan Reeves from the Tom Landry tree). So kill the damn San Fran talk. Kyle does his job well, but he (and even his dad) didn't originate the system. And every coach who has employed that system has put his own tweaks on it. The Texans staff have elevated players, but it takes time to acquire marquee plalyers. They've begun with 51 and 7, 3 and 12, but had to opt for replacements when free their agents dipped instead of being able to get DT, safety, and corner. So much love from guys who were freaking nobodies until last year, then ran for the bag. Choke on it, losers. I hope their careers go back to oblivion. Yes, you, Cashman, Greenard, Perryman, and Singletary. You may have set the team back in some ways for this free agency, but in some ways they've improved. If this staff could make you valuable think what they can do with your replacements.

Im so sick of this SF way, DeMeco doesn't need to copy SF, the man has an insanely high football IQ and has actual player experience not to mention DeMeco he won the defensive team captain as a rookie which tells you he can read, understand and decipher football plays and knows how to elevate his players. Just look at SFs defense after DeMeco left, they folded in the Superbowl and they probably would have won if he was still there making adjustments to the offense and their in game adjustments too.
