Where Are They Now? | The Island with Bear Grylls | Season 2 Episode 13 | Full Episode 

Does anybody else have suspicions about the womens camp? They did nothing for four and a half weeks, sleeping on the sand every night then suddenly at the end managed to build an entire camp with shelter and a table, chairs and benches that we never saw them making.

I'm really pleased they included Will in this as he only left the island to avoid lifelong disability, not because he couldn't have seen it through to the end.

Watching Bear force himself to praise those incompetent, bickering women is amazing. All they did was argue and starve and now he has to save his job...

Awesome series, the women episodes are really cringe though for so many reasons... 1) The producers gave them baby pigs to follow them around in case they were hungry + 2 other pigs on the island, 2) They sent them can of beans to be "discovered", as if they magically grow in the jungle, 3) They gave them a second, perfectly made bow to start any fire they wanted, 4) They begged for a free fish from a random "passerby fisherman" which he gave for free and if that wasnt enough of an insult to the injury the women got back with the fish at their camp boasting about it as such an amazing achievement... as if they fished it themselves or something... 5) They told the women what to do when all of the women were about to get evacuated off the island for life threatening health issues such as kidney failure and severe dehydration, meanwhile... afraid of dehydration, they were wondering what to do while sunbathing /facepalm... And... as if that was not enough they were constantly crying and moaning about everything. Im pretty sure im missing something but that was enough for me. Very empowering stuff i tell ya...

I have a suspicion that the woman's team has had quite some help along the way and bear is trying not be cancelled.

Women all starving and dehydrated but their camp was well decorated, clean and has a hair salon 🤣🤣

I've never seen propaganda fail so miserably. The production is trying to tell us the woman were successful. We have eyes. We saw them immediately sit in the forest and drink all the water. We saw them waste many days sunbathing and laying around. We saw them sitting with no plan. We saw them take around 20 days before catching their first fish. We saw them "Find" caned food. We saw them "Find" a massive net. We saw them turn what appeared to be domesticated pigs into pets. We saw them sabotage the water purification system by throwing away a water canister. We saw them dying of dehydration and unable to think they should retrieve the metal canister. We saw the water canister with putrid meat in it suddenly be clean. We saw Grylls intervening with fire tools to save them when they were about to all die of dehydration. We saw them fight, cry, argue, and throw fits about not following orders. Only to turn it all around at the end and build a camp. Yeah, Grylls the ladies did great!

Saying the girls were better with fire us quite generous considering they let it go out then needed to be given another fire bow to avoid literally dying

I like how the men look physically different and malnourished and the women still looked the same in the end. Classic.

To claim that the women were better at making fire than the men is sketchy at best. The women got a fire lit on the first day, then had it go out multiple times, their lack of fire to boil water almost led to the whole team being evacuated. They had to be given a replacement fire-drill set by they producers after being unable to start a fire after 2 days of failure. They spent most of their time on The Island desperate for fire and water. The men didn't start a fire until their 2nd day... but once it was started, it never went out. They were 100% fine for fire and water.

I have to say that the boys nailed it, absolute gigachads. And the women came out of the island better and more beautiful than in their normal lives.

Never forget that half of the women wasted thousands of calories and several days wandering around in a gigantic circle in the forest. Then discarded half their water purification ability because "ew, gross, smells bad" and couldn't get their fire started with their fire drill. Then got free fish, "wild" piglets that even followed them around, magical cans of baked beans, orange soda pop that washed ashore, etc. Hilarious.

Lauren is the only one the men would want in their team.

Such a bullshit narrative, "the girls were better at fire" missing out the whole part where they couldn't light a fire at all and had to be given a working bow drill from Bear's team or they'd be taken off the island from dehydration. It almost happened again even when they could light fire, they'd discarded 1 of 2 jerry cans used for boiling and purifying water and had to be told to gather it back in as they were dangerously dehydrated. Bear can be dishonest with the audience all he likes but the footage doesn't lie in the end.

4:40 what the men did was FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL

I feel like this show really highlights how biologically different men and women are. It highlights the things that each are better at and what they prioritise. It also shows that at the end of the day, when left to their own devices, men and woman's innate behaviour reverts them back to traditional gender roles no matter how much we try to deny or change them.

What an amazing series this has been, it's great to know that we are still able to survive without all the gadgets of modern day living. I am looking forward to watching the next series. Well done Bear.

I think this serie just shows that men are just made for this cause they did basicly everything better then the girls, also I dont understand why this series is kinda sexist cause there saying the girls where better at making fires while they werent, the men were way better at making them, the woman where also given more tools, canned beans, and free pigs while the man had to do everything themselves, and at the end it was said that men and woman acted/performed the same while the men did it way better, so its kinda sexist towards men that even tho they performed way better then the girls they still get compared to the girls in a way where both genders performed the same while men just did it better

Man 10 minutes in and Grylls' yapping about how much better the women were is making me sick Edit: 20:32 they were absolutely not top of the food chain after killing a tame pig... a croc would have bodied them.

Womens side was complete bs, mens side was pretty good, overall pretty good series to watch, really entertaining. Its my second time watching it.

at the end of the series the should have done a swap visit, men visited the women's island & women visited the men's island just to get their honest reaction of each other camp setup.

So much was left out or skewed in this episode compared to what we saw, it makes me wonder what was left out of the series. Bad as one of these teams were, I think it was actually even worse and they hid it.

No logical person would say that these women were able to survie. they almosy killed themselves in so many ways . I honestly hope they learned some humility from this and start to appreciate how much men do to make their daily lives as easy as they have it .

I'm still wondering why I see so many videos of feminist being more arrogant after watching this, can't they spot the difference? all women's episodes they were starving, cold, wet and dehydrated, the men never were dehydrated, sometimes hungry but they feasted more times. the women never got to sleep right, the men had raised beds the women never settled their differences, the men respected the ones that redeemed themselves after being doubted women's episodes was all drama, watching the men was like watching band of brothers I can say many more but bottom line is, the difference between watching the women exit the camp with no bond whatsoever and some still have the audacity to say they survived it is just pure crap, the men got to play games, build a giant fire, say poems about the ordeal, full bellies and the bond of brotherhood says it all.

This shows you the true nature what happiness is. Happiness is improvement to your standard of living at that moment if you bring you standard down long enough, that will become your new normal and when you come back to normal life, you feel happy about it because your life improved. Searching happiness is useless because your standard can't go up forever, improving slowly is in my opinion best way to maintain good feeling but you will not be happy forever, it will become your standard and if you can't improve it, you won't be happy. Happiness is positive "change" of your life quality, not something that is fixed.

I mean, saying the men argued and seperated into their beds is funny because I didnt see them once isolate themselves like that. One had initially seperated but he was still tactical about his time and ended up catching heaps of fish. The women (although very proud of what they accomplished) were always arguing every single episode... literally took them 9 days to find a camping spot.... 9 freaaking days man... they kept going through the forest and losing sense of direction... two of the men literally went from one side of the island and back in pitch black darkness.... its not even remotely close... still good effort for the women though, super humbling and I see their latent potential. Amazing work ladies

I drank spring water coming straight out the rock on the side of a mountain. Filled my bottle. The best icy water ever, and still got dog sick for weeks from it till I saw a doctor. Cryptosporidium. I can only image what they drink would look like on a microscope slide before they boil. An absolute zoo.

Priorities were set, sadly food and water preperations were not included lol.

The thumbnail made me think they were only gonna show the where the Women were. Glad they showed everyone!

Bro the women’s episode might aswell have been a comedy, it was just a circus every episode, all the crying moaning, blatantly obvious assistance from the crew. It was like watching an episode of real housewives. 🤦‍♂️

I think because the women gave up too quickly so the producer would not have any clip for us to watch. Therefore, they tried to support them all things and hope they could survive for 6 weeks for having enough episodes :VV. They just cried and did nothing in the first weed and gradually became frustrated. That the point:))

Jaime looked so much better without makeup. Very naturally beautiful but covers it up with makeup for some reason.

It’s funny how guys always say they love women in their “natural beauty”… it wasn’t until I watched the last episode here to see the women with their hair blown out and recolored, and straightened, makeup on their face..that I could actually see what the men are talking about. The women’s natural curly hair and no makeup in the wild were so beautiful. I don’t think we women see ourselves like we should. I see what the men are talking about now.❤

Estas mujeres son las peores participantes de supervivencia que he visto en realitys, nunca se esforzaron por hacer un campamento, en cazar, en pescar, en recolectar, ni en hacer fuego, no tenían liderazgo y sólo se la pasaban llorando desde el primer día, no tenían conocimientos de nada; la producción tuvo que mantenerlas dándoles por arte de magia 2 cerdos "salvajes" (bien mansitos), un cerdo todo drogado para que pudieran atraparlo, una enorme red de pesca, un pescador amable y sopas enlatadas. No sé si entendí bien, pero pasaron como 20 días cuando pescaron su primer pez?? Sólo medio hicieron el campamento y lo limpiaron ya en los últimos días. Lo peor es que salieron de la Isla pensando que fué a su gran esfuerzo y estrategias de supervivencia 😂😂

Bear Grylls, you want to talk about the strength of the sexes. I dare you to do this again with a mix of men and women. We would see a natural ordering of strengths. It would actually be a beautiful thing. Some of them men and woman may end up in nontraditional roles, but I think the overall outcome wouldn't play to the narrative the production clearly has in mind.

My favorite show. Loved watching this Series and especially this Episode to see how the folks are doing bank in normality. Can't wait till the next group goes out.

Instead of focusing entirely on food the next show should consider focusing more in small victories. Everything shown in this last episode is a victory, table, stair, raised bed, etc...

Even recognizing all of the insane hardship the groups faced, I still would love to be a part of something similar. I literally dream of what I would do were I to be stuck in pretty much this exact situation. Especially as a camera op who is usually stuck in studios filming relatively mundane stuff it would be so cool to have been such an intimate part of a shoot like this. I am surprised their camera gear survived some of the stuff that they would have put it through. Those weather-sealed camcorders are pretty much bulletproof but the big TV cameras are very much not. Those are very complicated beasts filled with all kinds of very precise, delicate engineering that is very much not at home in such a wet, sandy, salty environment. Also a huge shoutout to Will, Sam, and the other camera ops for carrying around those huge cameras for hours every day for weeks. I've carried a rig of that size once, for four hours, on a full belly and with a full night's sleep and it still left me sore the next day, so doing it under these circumstances must have taken herculean effort. I suspect that's the reason that we started seeing more of that rig on a tripod rather than someone's shoulder the longer they were on the island...

My guts says they are not truly abandoned by producers. They got help here and there behind the camera.

After rewatching this series, because I did not catch it all when it originally came out, a couple things struck me as funny. First off how alike the mens team and women's team were. They each had their Karen/Daren moments Second the women's team specifically, so many beautiful women on the island, and when they got back to "Civilization", There were only two that I could recognize once they put their make up back on, and only one that stayed as beautiful back in civilization as she did on the island. (Beth). The other one I recognized was the psychotic therapist.

Total Rubbish, the women were supportd by your team, right up to the end and were never in true danger.

Watched all the videos in the series. Just wonderful. Greate job Bear Grylls for teaching humanity the greatest lesson that humans survive and thrives when they work as a team. Please note that, our planet earth is also an island. We need to work as a single organism, to survive and thrive as a species. We must not identify ourselves as individuals or people of a nationality or religion , we need to identify us as an organism which is just the part of nature not even greater than the most basic living creature on this planet.

Honestly they give more care to the women's they being given fire, cans of food, spoons and a friendly pigs which look like it used to be living in a farm . While men being totally neglected.

From what I saw the bunch of feminine men on this show didn't do much better. This show just proved that in the event of an apocalypse, we country boys will get all the women.
