Hi Tor :) Regarding your knee issues: If that is still occuring ... have you tried a blackroll/foamroll? I experience every now and then that from a hard load of training (and your long ride certainly fits in there) some muscles stiffen up. I'm thinking about the thigh here. Normally it doesn't just go away from relaxing a bit. When I foamroll the outer and inner muscles of my thigh, the muscles work again and the knee issues are gone. Reason is that these muscles pull tendons which cross over your knee. Just thought I'd let you know about it from my running experience. So ...no worries there. :) I'm sure it's not serious. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to race. Furthermore when my muscles are blocked I'm also much weaker. Solving that brings back some original power. :)
Thanks man, it's a very good tip and I have a foamroller lying around so I'll put it into use in a few days or so. I don't thionk it's serious, it's just because of the duration of the ride which was beyond what I've done before.
There's no chance. The amount of power some put in up that climb was just insane. When sprint comes and Ive been covering several attacks theres too little left. Thrn theyre doing 10-14 and Im done for. Fun to do one again though
