What Happened During Jesus' 'Lost Years' (Luke 2:42; 3:23)? At the time Herod ordered all the young boys in Bethlehem to be slain, Joseph took Mary and Jesus and fled into Egypt. When the danger was past, they returned to their own country and settled in a town in Galilee: "And he [Joseph and his family] came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, 'He shall be called a Nazarene' [one who comes from Nazareth]" (Matthew 2:23). From Nazareth, they would all travel to Jerusalem each year for the Passover. On one of those occasions, when He was 12, Jesus stayed behind in the Temple. Afterward, "He went down with them [His family] and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them" (Luke 2:51). So, Jesus evidently spent most of those years in Nazareth. Otherwise, people would not have known Him as a Nazarene. After He was 30, Jesus preached in the synagogue in His home town: "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up" (Luke 4:16). Notice the reaction of the townspeople: "So all . . . marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, 'Is this not Joseph's son?" (verse 22). The people knew Him! This is confirmed when, on a similar occasion, in astonishment they said, "Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?'" (Matthew 13:54-56). The people knew His whole family, as this was Jesus' "own country" (verse 54; Luke 4:24). Obviously, Jesus spent most of those 18 years between ages 12 and 30 in Nazareth where He was trained and where He studied. Whether or not He traveled to any foreign nation is not revealed in Scripture.

If there are any actual "missing years," I would suggest that Yeshua spent that time studying the Scriptures under a learned Rabbi. At age 12, we are told of how he stayed behind after his parents left Jerusalem after the Passover. Luke 2:42-47 tells us that the teachers were impressed with his questions and insight. With this in mind, I'm sure they would have viewed Yeshua as a prodigy and took steps to ensure his learning. Is there any proof of this? Not really, but I think it is a more likely scenario than Yeshua traveling to India to have a family . . . And, why are you showing depictions of Yeshua as a white guy?? He was a Palestinian Jew so would have had different features and a darker complexion . . . Be accurate!

There is one thing I would like to disagree, that is LORD Jesus wouldn't spend His youth to learn the Torah. Why would He?! For He is God, and God, in a sense, the author of the Torah, that means LORD Jesus knew all of the Torah already, that is why He spoke with authority, which is no rabbi would be able to do at that time.

@@quoracles there are many stories people thought of about what LORD Jesus would have done in those missing years. Yes, I mostly agree with you that LORD Jesus would just stay with His mom, lady Mary, and helped her with her families issues and lived a sinless life as a human, I just don't agree one part, that is LORD Jesus needed to study the Torah, that part I disagree, that's all. There're also other stories made up by the help of the devils to lower the wisdom of LORD Jesus, like one stories went to India to study from Buddha's disciples and Hindu priests, where I am sure if Jesus was there, all those false gods would run into hiding, even Buddha would be one of them, ran into hiding from the one true God, or other story where Jesus learned from an Egyptian god, Thoth, where those false gods were powerless against the LORD at the time of Moses. I stand firm with my belief, LORD Jesus lived a sinless life as a human, yes, but He does not need to learn anything from the world, all knowledges of the world came from Him. If there is one thing He needed to learn when He was young is how to be a human, and not learning the Torah is not a sin, for He is capable of answer any problem according to the Torah. That is my belief. There's a series call "The Chosen", in that series, Jesus once said "I am the law of Moses", which was not written in the Bible, so many Christian attacked the crew, but I think they the ones making the series are right, Jesus was the one who wrote the laws unto Moses.

EXACTLY!! The Catholic Church (from which all the other mainline Christian denominations sprang from) has always taught that Mary was a perpetual virgin. Just think: she had given birth to the Son of God…do you really think that she would have wanted to have any other children?? Her entire live was devoted to singularity serving God, and hence Jesus.

Luke 2: 41-52 “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. He was in Nazareth being obedient as a good Son to Mary and Joseph.

Thank you for your video. All discussion about our awesome creator God is good for building Jesus body up. We all need such unity and connection. We are told God our loving father creator is love and isn't the perfect place for love found in a family relationship. God our loving father and Jesus our Savior and the holy Spirit are united in love each one for another and considering that our father calls us to be united in relationship with him as the body of Christ are we not called to be joined and lovingly bound together in love for our God ourselves and one another. In the family of Christ we are called to love and be loved as God so love's us. This is so we all are valued as part of our father's family thru unity and respect for one another. If we are learning to love ourself then we must give the same amount of love respect and consideration for one another. We have been living in a world which some have not learned to respect and value others so we are to treat every member of the body of Christ with the same respect and regard. If one part of the human body does not respect another how long can we be healthy and survive. May our loving father Jesus and the holy spirit lead us all to love respect and value everyone our God our self and one another. May the peace love and blessings of the lover of our hearts lead us all to the wonderful relationship with our loving father in spirit and truth.

Not a missing yrs in Jesus life! He went forth to Nazareth and he was subject to live with His father and mother( Luke Chaptet2 ) At the age of 32 He went to Jordan for baptism from Nazareth. It is clear that Jesus was in Nazareth up to his 32 yrs! Ok.

You are right. Scholars use the phrase, "missing years" because the bible is silent on his activities during that time. Not that Jesus was missing! If you had watched the video in full, your comments would probably have been differently worded.

The fact that there are 18 missing years of Jesus life should in itself show that something is up... For the greatest figure in history to strangely have 18 years not mentioned about his life gives credence to the legend... And for those claims to fit inline with another culture saying he visited there with no religious affiliation and no monetary gain from such a claim makes no sense... These ancient traditions are not even Christian... Jesus was a prophet. He left house when he was to be married and followed a trading caravan that journeyed to India. History proves Jerusalem and India were linked through trade in Jesus' time... He was an independent advanced soul, it wasn't hard for him to leave his parents at 13 to follow his mission and spiritual training. Even at 12 he didn't need his parents..

Jesus was in India during his missing years. He studied yoga and Buddhism... There is stronger evidence for him in India than any other place. There are three other people who also visited the monastery and verified the scrolls.... If jesus was living with his family narration of his life would have continued. The church much like the government holds major power and those years were deliberately removed..

This is false!!! Simply because Jesus who is God had “No siblings” certainly not by blood, although many cultures use the phrase “brother or sister” this in no way applies to blood relation!!! .. Jesus blood has to be absolute and why!???? because of the sacrificial blood rite, no had Jesus blood brothers and sisters, God wouldn’t of logically needed His own son as the means of sacrifice, simply because of God’s blood which of course is perfect, had been given to multiple people, then Jesus would not have had to die, and thus contradicting the entire Bible, so NO” Jesus using the phrase brothers and sisters is associated via rite of baptism and “NOT” of blood, Jesus and Holy Mary alone shared the blood type which was designed and engined by God Himself to be absolute.

Jesus wasn't poor. He had received gold, frankincense and myrrh from the Magi when he was 2 years old. Obviously, his family administered such wealth while in Egypt. He very easily could have travelled to wherever he wanted or needed to go.

There is no proof that Jesus had siblings. In fact, there is a logical reason to support that belief: if Mary had had any other children, but especially any other sons, her care would have been their responsibility. The fact that Jesus assigns John the duty to care for her (and become her “son” as far as supporting her) proves that fact.

Jesus worked as a landscape gardener designing and commissioning beautiful gardens for the wealthy. He accumulated the necessary wealth needed to support Himself and His followers once His mission proper commenced. What is more important is the whereabouts of Christ for the 3 days during the first Easter from His Crucifixion until His appearance to Mary Magdalene 3 days later. Until Christians understand the events that occurred in the lower spirit world they will never understand the true significance of God's Plan of Redemption.

Jesus was a carpenter. His father Joseph trained him to be a carpenter. He did not save up any wealth. His followers took care of his every needs. Please stop spreading misinformation.

@@SCAM-BUSTER.777 Further information about Jesus was revealed by The Holy Spirit in 20th century at The Spiritual Lodge of Zurich. Nowhere in the New Testament is it said that Jesus was a bludger - living off others. The same word that has been translated as carpenter can also mean a stone mason or someone who works or builds with rocks. With wood so scarce in those days most houses were built from stone.

@@maxinedeleon4357 I too learned in Sunday school that Jesus worked as a carpenter - nobody knew any better then as the Holy Spirit was still locked out of Christianity. The word translated as carpenter can also mean someone who constructs using rocks or stone mason. While He might very well have crafted objects from wood, there was not a lot of wood around where He lived, it being a scarce commodity.

bro why ur religion is called has christian , is there any connection between christion and krishna (even jesus said he is son of god ) also i have heard there is "lost year of jesus " some people even claim he travelled india. and one more reason to ask this quetion is in bible very few countries are mentioned in which india is one of it. here i will mention some verse which are similar in both religion :Christianity teaches that through Christ, people are set free from sin and no longer a slave to sin (Rom. 6:20-23; John 8:32-36). Likewise, in the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: "He who knows Me . . . is undeluded and is freed from all sins" (X:3). In the Gospel of John it is said that Christ "came into the world but the world knew him not" (John 1:10). So too, Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita: "I am not revealed to all being covered by My power of illusion. This world is deluded and does not recognize Me. . ." (VII:25)(please dont get offended im just interested know more)

1. No, it's through His Grace and His sacrifice, which was God taking the place of the Passover Lamb instead for our sins. Krishna did no such thing. 2. No illusions, Christ came to literal show us how to treat and live with each other in peace. People were created in God's Image but there actions and lives were drifting further away from the image God wanted us to carry, again. We don't believe God is a magician or a deceiver, the only reason were are deceived is because of the evil, the very evil we believe made Eve and Adam eat the apple. In your argument the image of Krishna we get is of the serpent in the Garden of Eden than of Jesus😅 No offence taken.
