Tb: "Where did this mouth cl-" some random bfdi fan: "An object show is a type of animated competition that has gained popularity in recent years, with BFDI (Battle For Dream Island) being one of the most well-known examples. These shows feature inanimate objects or anthropomorphic objects, such as talking animals or robots, as contestants. The objects are often given unique personalities and are voiced by actors, making the show entertaining and engaging for viewers. Throughout the show, the objects compete in challenges or games to win prizes or avoid elimination, with each challenge highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the objects. Object shows are known for their creative concept and humorous execution, making them a favorite among fans of animated shows and internet culture."
I was in a donut place and it had a joke sign saying “Don’t tap the glass, it scares the donuts” and sure enough there was a picture of Donut from BFDIA looking worried
I always thought cary and micheal had the mouth from other places instead of been maked by their own, mostly comparin to the modern style and since they reuse the same walk cycle, this mouth has been so used that themselfs made a video about the mouth!
Love this video because when the mouths and teardrop asset started popping up in random thumbnails it was always a jumpscare. I always knew. And it was crazy every time.
As BFDI being a show I watched when I was a child, I can't help but smile every time I see one of the clip arts being used, reminds me of the good ole days.
the way i already knew exactly where it came from since I've watched bfdi and bfb since I was really young and haven't stopped, but I still watched the video
Me: *scrolling and sees the video* .. BFDI is an animated web series made by two twins, Micheal and Cary Huang, where alive object compete for a prize, which is Dream Island. BFDI is the first object show ever. It was hosted by a grey box with a speaker, named Announcer. It is currently at an age of 14 years old. Throughout the series, the prize has changed, except for BFDI and BFDIA (BFDI standing for Battle for Dream Island, and BFDIA standing for Battle for Dream Island Again). In BFB, they battle for a cube that has all of BFDI in it, therefore it is called the BFDI. BFB stands for Battle for BFDI. BFB is hosted by a blue number 4 and co-hosted by a yellow X. BFB was split by a green number 2, taking 40 of the contestants for a battle for the power of two, unlimited power. The show was named TPOT. IDFB, the third season, only has one episode. It is possible that it may be continued. BFB and BFDI are the only seasons out of 5 seasons that have been finished. TPOT and BFDIA are still in the making… *thinking,,,* ok im done! i think
In my opinion, the 2010s was the best decade. We didn’t have to deal with any of this covid crap. Plus, games back then actually had funny context like angry birds, where’s my water, Clash of clans, Pvz. Nowadays, people just slam together random crap and make stuff “3D”, and think it’s a masterpiece. RU-vid videos like BFDI and duck at the lemonade stand just give me so much nostalgia I cry.
It’s actually kinda sad that two 12 year olds made a show, but a asset from that show becomes more popular than the actual show. Even sadder, grown adults were stealing the Bfdi mouth without giving the 12 year olds that made it credit and got more poplar than them.
@@JosephDWmPelobello I mean... indie internet cartoons aren't allowed on Wikipedia. Unless they were very successful like Happy Tree Friends, Pencilmation, Helluva Boss or Eddsworld. Yes, alot of cartoon fans know BFDI, but it's quailty is somewhat simliar to The Mr. JB Show, Doodle Toons, Conroy Cat and Mugman and doesn't have much history behind the scenes. So Wikipedia won't accept that.
Yeah, I know, she was so surprised! Really? I mean, it wasn't very big, just a little bug, but Flower went crazy! OMG, Flower is really afraid of bugs!
As a bfdi fan im indonesian and i just noticed that thet restaurant is beside my house and a few days ago my fam wanted to go to that restorant and i shouted "OMG ITS BFDI INDONESIAN FOOD EDITION" and other ppl heard it and one of thenm is a bfdi fan and he said "wait i didn't notice that lol 😂"
Honestly, I haven’t watched BFDI fully but I could recognize it since I am part of the object shop community I just watch II instead bc idk I got into it more
Sometimes it surprises me when people dont know where it came from, then i remember how widespread it became and how BFDI isn't as well known as its assets are
I love when BFDI just becomes ingrained into internet culture and nobody realizes until it's too late... I see so many people confused about why there's a fanbase for this or why it's even popular and none of them realize just how influential and important it is. Some object show creators work on BIG things like cartoons on Netflix and CN now.
When I saw the mouth I immediately thought of BFDI. I am glad a RU-vidr like this is finally talking about the BfDI series, finally the wider internet is catching up to this. The newer seasons of BFDI, BFB and TPOT, don’t really use the original BFDI mouth clip art as much it seems like, although variants of it seem to be still existent.
i remember the reason being that drawing the mouths on the spot was faster to animate and easier to express emotions with in BFB. the rest is history. i love how the writing evolved into what it looks like today. even though i'm still sad to this day for what happened to BFDIA and IDFB. didn't know it was because of the AdSense being lost though.
@@Wilker_uwu Yeah that makes sense. Not going to lie, I would not mind if BFDIA and or IDFB suddenly came back. (even though they are technically over) BFDIA 6 could in theory be released and not much change, although that is only in theory. I doubt BFDIA or IDFB will continue of course.
I'm kind of a new member of the osc and that was the video that introduces me to the series! It's kind of funny now that I look back You can imagine how surprised I was that the mouth you see everywhere came from said Web show!
@@clownfishbox It's a joke about how seemingly 99% of the OSC on social media is autistic or neurodivergent in some way, at least that's what I assumed
one of my friends from my church watched alot of these bfdi videos for 6 years and i always wondered why is it fun to watch, until i started watching it after the pandemic happened. it was great, and the webseries had really great characters, cool scenes, and also funny jokes. but the on i appreciate is the people who worked each other on making this. it is amazing that this underrated 13 years old webseries had introduced by the public eye, because the webseries wasn't big for a long tjme until maybe now.
also, i supposed that BFDI fans (and also fans of the Object Show Community) are hyped when someone mentioned their webseries cause it basically mentioned rarely. i supposdd this "overproudness" affects on not only countries, but communities, interests, etc, cause people love when someone new learns parts of them and make them popular in a positive way!
I feel like most people know considering the object show community is or is one of the biggest communities that isnt related to a video game not to discredit the video, it's still informative
