@@spindoggytheexplorer2915 Not aware of anyone in particular. I think that Mike's legacy will be in those who he has influenced to look at scripture less dogmatically which may be able to break us out of systems of beliefs that choke the word. That being said, I don't agree with Mike on everything. But, If I'm studying a book of scripture, I'll always go the NakedBible podcasts and download his transcripts because they're a good place to start.

@@earlysda Yes. it is Biblical. The Nephilim are the giant offspring of the angels who had sex with human women. If you can read between the lines, you can figure out that Eve had sex with either Helel(Lucifer) or Samael and begat Cain and Able. Which is where human blood lines were infected with evil traits. This explains a whole lot on why things have been done the way that they have been. Only later did Eve give birth to Seth, which noted that Seth had the likeness of Adam. Apparently Cain and Able did not have such a likeness to Adam. This and the Book of Enoch explain leaps and bounds and gives us the why, where most of the Bible is like WTH is going on and makes no sense at all. This knowledge resolves most if not all of those questions. Godspeed!

@@kenammi355 thank, I'll check those out. Being that he's a Protestant, I definitely take what he says with a big grain of salt. Not that Protestants get everything wrong, but his stuff can definitely get weird. I'm intrigued by his theories and haven't found anything definitively wrong about the Nephilim/demons hypothesis, but I'm also definitely not sold on it and submit my judgement to the word of God spoken through His Church.

@@Aethelhart A grain of Dead Sea salt ;o) To bottom line it: He taught post-flood Nephilim so that's not a biblical doctrine, he just picked up one line from an "evil report" from centuries post-flood by unreliable guys whom God rebuked and ran with it. He taught that demons, "unclean spirits," are the spirits of dead Nephilim but did so via a merely linguistics based argument by picking up folklore from centuries, if not millennia, after the Torah and ran with it.

That's one interpretation. The other, much more prevalent throughout the Levitical materials is that unclean is to do with the dead. Unclean spirits are also called daimones (demons) which also included in popular culture to which the gospel writers were writing, human spirits of the dead that are not at rest with God. See the parable of the unclean spirit, which wanders through dry and arid places (places associated in cosmic geography with death).

Made me wonder, Would a person be condemned if there was a giant way back in their lineage? Would their spirit then also be unclean? How would a person would know whether there was a giant in their ancestry? Much of the world could be like that. But God's desire is that all would be saved so I'm thinking the unclean is because of their conduct.

While we don't have the recorded command of God not to marry them, we can infer it, because many times later throughout the Bible we see injunctions of God warning his followers to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

They are tho. Fallen angels are also evil spirits too, just not the only ones. Others are the spirits of the nephilim which remain here on earth. So in a way they are still descendants of the fallen angels, just not directly angels themselves. There are Also just demonic powers etc which are much more vaguely described and like the angels were never mortal beings.

The Nephilim, which weren't immortal became the evil spirits we hear about after the flood. You never hear about evil spirits messing with people until after the flood. Angels (good and bad) appeared to people before the flood and told them or showed them things but never possessed people. The fact that they took on physical form to marry and impregnate women indicates that they aren't spirits. Evil spirits weren't mentioned until after the flood, indicating that it was the spirits of the Nephilim which were not immortal and could die but could not enter heaven.

What you seem to be confusing is a spirit which was once a mortal being, for a spirit which was never a mortal being.

@@kenammi355 I don’t disagree with you on principle, but the problem with something being biblical or not is that the Scriptures were written to and for people who had an understanding of the world that we have lost. In this case, it is VERY likely that the ancient Hebrews understood the Nephilim and what was happening there. So Moses didn’t need to explain it. They already knew it. In my case, I don’t need someone to recount the entire history of the US every time someone is writing about an event that occurred in our history.

The giants werent killed in the flood. According to 1 Enoch in the sentencing of the 200 watcher angels, they were forced to watch their offspring kill each other and then the watcher angels were imprisoned. So the giant offspring might have been a mixture of angel dna and the cutting of roots. In the book of Jasher it says that mankind also learned how to mix different species of animals together and thats what caused the flood. In Jubliees its says thay after the flood Canaan found the writting of the watcher in a cave. Its possible that the instructions for mixing dna and cutting of roots were part of the writtings that he found. In the conquest of the promise land with Joshua, they found gaint people and gaint grapes. Those instructions could have been from the writtings Canaan found. The human giants werent as big as the half angel giants so its probably just the cutting of roots and not angel dna mixing. These giants were probably normal humans that had been altered. A lot of people think Nimrod (Gen 10:7-10) may be where the giants came back in. It is strange that Nimrod is listed separately from Cush's other progeny. Also "mighty hunter" may be a clue. The LXX in 10:8 actually says "He was the first on earth to be a giant". In addition, Josephus referencing Nicolaus of Damascus, says some people escaped the flood. “There is a great mountain in Armenia, over Minyas, called Baris, upon which it is reported that many who fled at the time of the Deluge were saved; and that one who was carried in an ark came on shore upon the top of it; and that the remains of the timber were a great while preserved” (Ant 1.3.6 §§ 95). Josephus, a Pharisee, elsewhere, had no problem with the fact that people other than Noah and his family survived the flood “which was the reason why there was no greater number preserved, since there was no place to fly to” (Ant 1.3.5 §§ 89). Pseudo-Eupolemus (prior to 1st century BC) goes even further: “Eupolemus, in his work ‘On the Jews,’ states that the Assyrian city of Babylon was first founded by those who escaped the Flood. They were giants, and they built the tower well known in history. When the tower was destroyed by God’s power, these giants were scattered over the whole earth” (Praeparatio Evangelica 9.17.2-3. He names a giant who escaped the flood as Belos (Praeparatio Evangelica 9.17.8-9; 9.18.2. Also 1Enoch has most of the giants being killed in internecine war prior to the flood. The giants also appear in Bashan with Og Num 21:33; 32:33 and Deut 1:4 which makes sense because Bashan is near Mt. Hermon where the Watchers descended (1En 6:6).

They didn’t. It appears that the same thing happened again after the flood with another group of disobedient angels. And who is to say it doesn’t happen now? All God’s creation is given free will. Galatians 1:8. “But even if we or an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN preach any other gospel to you, let him be accursed”. Angel from where? Heaven. They still have free choice.

That implies that God failed, He must have missed the "same thing happened again after the flood" loophole so that the flood was much of a waste. As for, "who is to say it doesn’t happen now?" Jude and 2 Peter 2 who note that the sinful Angels were incarcerated and there's only a one-time fall of Angels in the Bible.

There's no indication that the late-comer of a view based on myth and prejudice, "the sons of God are the sons of Seth" is accurate. As for, "some spirits of dead people can act as demons": there's zero indication of that. But yes, "demons are just fallen angels." But as for, "Not all are imprisoned in hell": none of them are. While is not accepted by many there is an idea by some writers that souls of dead sorcerers that try to repent before death but do not succeed get te choice to either spent time in hell as humans until the second coming and be judged as humans and potentially saved or become demons and have some extra freedom before then. Then reply to me and see if it’s close? First, the church translators used the word Hell for two different locations or realms. The fiery pit that Satan and his follows are cast is the Hell. The big one. No one has been sent to this one yet. There has been no judgment day yet. Satan and his followers are still free and not bound. All people, after they die, their spirits go to either of two separate realms. I call them spirit prison or spirit paradise. Depending on their acts on earth while alive. Here they are still aware, still conscious. Christ went and taught to theses spirits which is found in the Bible after he was crucified. After the judgment everyone will be resurrected from both. And receive their inheritance. The only spirits that go to the actual “big” Hell are satan and his followers and if any, someone who committed the unpardonable sin. But to do this this you have to have a complete knowledge of god, walked and talked with him, faith not required because he is known and then deny him. Only a small few on earth have been in the position to commit this sin, the same sin Satan and his followers committed. While these spirits await judgment day and the resurrection, they can still learn and except gospel covenants. This is where spirits who were born on earth in times before or were not given the opportunity to learn of the gospel, or of Jesus. They can except him here. Some people mistake the phrases “we are saved by Grace only”or “we are saved by faith”and “faith with or without works” are about entering heaven. I share my belief that solves the controversy. Everyone will be resurrected who received a body on earth. This is the reward for keeping their first estate, following Jesus instead of Satan. The followers of Satan lost their first estate, they did not receive bodies, they cannot be resurrected. The reward and inheritance for obedience is covered by Grace. All will return. Being saved by acts should be understood as “reward by faith and acts”. This is what judgment day is for, even though everyone is saved by Grace, there are additional rewards given to those who were obedient, so being “ saved” at this juncture is about the additional rewards. Anyways, there is a lot more to it but I wanted to just share my perspective. Have a good Sunday

I love your passion! I agree that we can feel the spirit. I don’t want to to interfere with you light or cause you any distress. I am 100% supportive of you returning home. I only desire to share a few thoughts, you can dismiss or take in and add to your collection. If you believe in the Bible, and Trust it is the word and direction from God, we can consider that Jesus descended to heaven at one point. At some point in the future Jesus will return as the Bible described for the second coming. Jesus has returned for other purposes, but these were not announced clearly in the Bible so many people have missed it. This is his world and he can go and return as he pleases. My simple point is, he is a individual person, with flesh and bone. Part of Godhood is understanding and the ability to be connected to all things. Scientists call this entanglement in quantum mechanics. This is how God can be everywhere. So you are right, it’s not a matter of Jesus leaving or returning, he always knows what’s going on, even if he physically is not present at any given moment. God created us without sin but the first humans were tempted by the devil and fell. We may have been without sin but we also had free will and we misused it.

Not human since, for example, they witnessed the creation of the Earth, at the very least (Job 38). Angels are always described as looking like human males, we were created “a little lower” than them, and we can reproduce with them so, by definition, we’re of the same basic “kind.”

Seems to me that people confuse a word for its root. Thus, we are told that rapha are in the "underworld" of the dead but that has nothing to do with the 100% human Rephaim tribe. Also, some people appeal to what Pagans said about their version of Rephaim and actually incorporate that mythology into the Bible.

Beverly. The bible is tough to process in the year 2024 because we've drifted from the original translations and spend little time researching anything that's not in a youtube video.

He allowed Christ’s death. He allowed a woman to be raped to death. He allowed false prophets to mislead the majority of the Jews. He allowed slavery. He allowed war. Do all of those allowances make God evil or those accounts false? I think not.
