So weird I'm in my work from home office now feeling over whelmed lol I literally cleaned up the rest of house sat in here and was like let me pray with Dawn this Sunday
You have no idea how motivating this video was for me. I had 2 little things I was putting off all week, I paused your video and completed them in 8 minutes! 🤦♀️ I love your videos. Thank you so much!
Any ideas for this. Seems like every time you turn around someone wants you to sign up for something, and you need to come up with a password. I thought I would remember.(that doesn't work.😄) Then I typed it in my phone. Hard to remember between my phones(personal/business) and husband's with the same. Then I started writing it down. First, in notepads, then in sticky notes. I have sticky notes Everywhere! Help! 😃😃😃
@@Michelle-ke7me My husband and I share a small phone book where we record our separate passwords. It's great that it has alphabetized tabs to keep them organized. And if, God forbid, something happens to one of us, the other will know where to find our passwords. I'm sure there are books created just for passwords, but I like that it says Addresses on the front so it doesn't announce to others what we do with it. 😉
A couple friends and I had a yard sale yesterday. When we were done, we boxed everything up, set it outside my garage, took a picture and posted it for free on Facebook. Four hours later it was gone. It was such a relief.
JoAnn Birdsong we recently took some plywood that was taking up too much room in our shed and we weren’t going to use and put it out front with a free sign on it. A few days later we got a note from our mail carrier that he would take it after work. We were sooo happy.
Dear Diana, I was especially touched at seeing your binders. It feels the same for me, as we are moving and I recently addressed the more than 30 big binders filled with my lecture notes from medical school 1994-1998. They have traveled with me lodged on bookshelves gathering dust through the years. As I was preparing to recycle them (almost couldn't wheel the bin to the curb, it was so heavy and full), it struck me intensely that it wasn't about the notes nor the intake of knowledge - it was about the over 20 years since in which I have had the privilege of caring for hundreds to thousands of patients based on that knowledge that transferred into my mind, and heart, and a bit of it lives on in health for anyone I may have humbly treated. It is the same for you, I think - your students who took your classes carry the faith and wisdom you shared. The binders are special, in that form especially, and they are safe to let go of. Their message has been delivered. Blessings to you!
Thank you for the inspiration. I have my college notebooks along with 30 years of teaching materials in the basement. (not all, I have managed to part with some ). Maybe it’s time to let them go!! Thank you again!
As a teacher with students returning tomorrow, my decluttered house, car and classroom are they ONLY things keeping me sane at the moment. Thank you for the inspiration and the prayers.
Thank you Diana for allowing us into your home! THIS is the reality of our homes! It's the "little stuff" we don't know how to deal with or where to start! THESE videos are SO very helpful, thank you!!
I love all your content! But I REALLY LOVE & look forward to these Sunday morning visits with you sharing about life & God! Thank you!! 💕💕💕 God Bless all of you!!
That looks like one of those tricky rooms to declutter, but I love that you can stop and take care of some of the items right now. Also always love the spiritual guidance at the end of the Sonday/Sunday videos!
Yesterday I gathered 2 bags of clothes to throw out and 1 bag for the Salvation Army. I also reduced my sheets/pillowcases by half. I keep remembering your words, reduce your inventory. That makes so much sense to me. I am not finished, but the ball is rolling. Many thanks.
Your shouldn’t throw out clothes that aren’t worth donating. Many thrift shops will recycle them!.. otherwise if you google it, my town at least has textile recycle boxes all over town
I had two fitted sheets rip a big tear in them. Don’t know how that happened but now got rid of those sheets and made room in the cupboard. There wasn’t any point to patch them up so that helped in decluttering
Cr W true do not throw out clothes. Some thrift stores have more powerful cleaning agents that get the stains out then we could at home. But at least it is donated then they can sort out and deal with clothing. If you just throw clothes out they go to landfill and sit there
It depends on your store. I used to donate jeans and such that could have been used for quilt fabric but when I started volunteering there I quickly learned that they just pitch such things anyway. They just don't have the space or resources to deal with such inventory so I'm back to throwing it away.
Paula Boynton we have boxes waiting to go to the Goodwill and will feel so good when they are donated!

I cleared my kitchen counters yesterday of so much stuff, been on the minimalist journey for well over a year but still finding more I can clear. You have been such a huge inspiration to me ❣️ love from. Sinead in Ireland 🇮🇪
Was not expecting the Prayer in the end.🙏🏽 😭I opened up the link because I'm having a hard time organizing and decluttering my room. BUT GOD KNEW just what I needed to hear! I just lost my son and been feeling way out of life, But God has a way of reminding us He is still near. Thank you for your obedience in sharing the Love and word of the LORD ♥️
Your Sunday videos are always such a blessing and encouragement! Thank you for all the work and thought you put into creating these high quality videos for us. I look forward to them every time! ❤️
Overwhelmed! The thoughts associated with this emotion are paralyzing. I have been there so many times. Thank you for some “reality check” thoughts that can help us take the next step. You two are blessings in my day🤗
I just want to encourage you, Dawn and Tom, that foster care is worth it all! It took my husband years to warm up to the idea as well, and finally he agreed to start classes last fall. We have 3 young bios (2-9) and just got our first placement 5 days ago. My husband is already attached to this precious 2 year old little girl and I’m sure Tom will be the same because of what a great dad his. I’m proud that you are using your platform to spread awareness and show the process. The need is SO great.❤️
Thank you both so much! I really needed this today before I start my second week at work with reduced hours and pay, after thinking we had made it through the hardest part. As a 57 year old wife and mother, with a son who is sophomore in high school and a college daughter at home, this was a punch in the gut. This has helped me remember where my focus should be! God bless you both!
This video was so divine. I just had my 4th baby.. and my nursery and office are in the same room. It was cluttered and overwhelming, every item had a task associated with it. And I just did a quick search to get some guidance. Having never seen your channel, I was not expecting such a pleasant ending. It made me tear up. That encouragement and prayer from your sister was honey to my soul. Bless you both
Nature is his greatest gift to us and we easily forget to take it all in and enjoy it. Beautiful prayer for our nation and our leaders no matter anyone’s party affiliation. Ladies have an amazing and blessed week!
Dawn I love how you get tearful when you speak with passion about the things that move you. I don't have a faith but its lovely to see you express yours :-)
Yes, I have learned to see the beauty and appreciate the heart of people who show passion and love. I love seeing people living from the heart even if I disagree with their beliefs
Good morning, Ladies! I absolutely love your Sunday morning videos and the opportunity to pray and believe together for our families and our country. Have a blessed week!😘
Thank you for sharing your experience but even more importantly your emotions around decluttering in the context of current circumstances. We have been challenged through job loss, financial instability, safety of our family and health of those we love and those who don’t have access to the healthcare and justice.
I'm not really religious and I don't belive in a god . I started listening to the book you're referring to and I love it so much. It helps in a lot of ways in your daily life even if you're not religious! Love from Germany
I am slowly getting my house in order, thanks to your videos! How refreshing the end of this video , as you and your sister put things in perspective. And thank you for leading us in prayer! May God bless you guys!❤️
I love the way Dianna smiles at dawn. So beautiful. Dawn smiles too but she is talking more of the time as its her channel. But love the way she smiles as she listens to her. She has a beautiful smile
I spent the last hour down in my laundry room. The bag I took down with me is now full of donations culled while I folded - extra towels, clothing, bed linens, bathroom mat etc. are being delivered to the thrift store today along with another full bag. Less to manage as you say! Getting started is key. Using a mechanical timer is so helpful as well. I took the time to clean the kitty litter- my least favourite chore- done! Thank you for providing motivation and a system that actually works. 👍🏻♥️🙏🏻
How good to hear the prayers for our nation, for our leaders, and for our voters.feeling overwhelmed myself with piles, this video gives encouragement. Thank you!
I woke up a little earlier than usual today and sat down to watch your videos and catch up on the last few months since I started homeschooling and working and haven't had any time to watch them. I still need to watch a few more but alas my time is up. I just want to thank you ladies for your Sunday videos, they are so inspiring and always help bring me closer to God, which is something that I'm not very mindful about all the time, when life is chaotic He is the one consistent thing that's always there, and I do need to be reminded sometimes of his presence, that he is always beside us especially in our darkest times. Thank you Dawn and Diana, you ladies are a true blessing in so many lives, you have no idea.
I just watched this video! And the last few minutes were absolutely what I needed during this season. It can be a very lonely time. But I know my Redeemer lives. I have struggled with decluttering my spare room which has all kinds of memories in it. Pictures and memories of my only adult birth child who died after committing a crime, memories of my past marriage, things that remind me that I'm alone. So, I've put off for three years decluttering this room. I want to do it, but I begin and can't move past the heartache those memories bring. I'm grateful to have your videos to encourage me along this path. Thank you for sharing God's word.
I LOVE that you share your faith - because really, we all do wether we know it or not! You are sharing your treasure e and motivation for everything else. Thank you!
Stepped upstairs to take a break from stressing out over family stuff that is out of our hands...and this video was next in the queue. The whole thing is a prayer. Sending to my momma. Thank you both!
Thank you for this inspiration, I have been sick most of this year. Underwent an opperation hope to be healed, but I'm still sick. Struggling with my house duties daily and the clutter is the worst. Feeling very overwhelmed, your video helped me see that I must take on small amounts. Thanks
I love that you guys share your faith and Bible verses along with teaching us tips on how to decluttering and make our life more minimal. Truly it is just stuff. Nothing wrong with having stuff but when it becomes so important that we can not let anything go that can be a struggle.
Thanks for explaining the different methods and why there’s a time for each. I have been putting off cleaning my desk but after watching this I’ve decided to proceed with the “do it now” method.
Thank you for doing this every week. I have minimal mom on in the background while I clean and it's so nice so heat a prayer start and I immediately stop what I'm doing to pray as well. Such a wonderful addition to my day
My mom started watching your videos and got your declutter book. I have read pieces of your book, and use your videos sometimes for inspiration for certain areas. My husband has been trying to get me on this forever, but I just feel like God put it on my heart for this season. It is so relieving to get through different areas and pieces. Thank you for all the videos and the encouragement!
Dawn is so right in dealing with the thank you card right then. It seems so counter-intuitive to stop what you are doing and deal with it at that moment, but when you look at the bigger picture it makes so much sense. I would have never in a million years though to deal with things this way, I see how that small shift in perspective will make a huge difference over all! Happy Sunday to you both.
Thank you for such a wonderful prayer at the end, I needed that. Having little ones, your heart worries about the future but what you said about the corn growing still... indeed, God already knows. And that's very comforting. So thank you. Smiling through my tears right now.
love this video....especially the end where Dawn was talking about nature...nature is the one thing that constantly changes daily and, yet, is consistently there for us year in and year out. It reminds me when I spend more time in it that HE is always there and will be no matter who else is in charge in our country/state/city etc. and HE is the one really in charge.
Thank You for All you’re inspiring content and messages! You both inspire me! I LOVE how you speak of the Lord, REMINDING US - let’s have HIM in the CENTER OF EVERYTHING!
Thank you for this, i was feeling frazzled and it was good to listen to this. I'm well on in a minimalist journey, but have just moved house so there's stuff everywhere & lots of decisions. However your channel has helped loads & in this move all our boxes fit into one room, we brought a fraction of the stuff to this house than we took to the old house! Thank you for all your videos.
I loved that you tackled writing a thank you card. I would have put it off. I was bothered by the throwing away of the music cds, I would have donated them. Too much trash in our landfills! I appreciate all your videos!
Our thrift stores in town: some don't take magazines, some don't take t'vs...some won't take books anymore... some don't take clothes....at some point, after we have done all we could to reduce/re-use/recycle...it just has to 'go'....
Hi Dawn, I just wanted to say I just love how both of you are doing this together because all by yourself it could be a one big daunting task..and I love your smiles/positivity and laughter..good job..keep it up..
The timing on this was perfect, I really need to spend time today 'fully dealing' with a few things in my office to really make the next level of progress.
This one hit me in the feels today ☺️thank you 💗 I look forward to my cup of coffee on Sunday mornings watching you two 🙏🏽 you are stones among the sand and I’m grateful for your strength expressing your faith ✝️
It's so amazingly comforting to witness Diana's feeling of being overwhelmed because I have been there so many times and it's such an awful combination of feelings!! Thank you both SO much for these videos, they are truly empowering!! 💛💛
I found your channel for the recipes and then got interested in the home projects, kinda ignoring the "minimalism " piece for the most part, because I thought I was a neat housekeeper, fairly organized and set in my ways (I'm 44). Then a few weeks ago, it seems like a light bulb came on, and I realized (through watching your videos) that I could truly reduce stress in my life by reducing "inventory" and simplifying every area of my life. I have been so surprised how much I am enjoying this process, and these videos keep me focused and motivated to continue simplifying. Thank you so much!!! ❤😊🙌🙏
The timer method has been such a big help for a lot of things. I had about 10 minutes this morning before I needed to get my son up for breakfast with his grandma. Rather than scrolling, I turned on this video and worked through as many dirty dishes as possible.
I’ve been in the group since the beginning. It’s been the Best Investment , not to mention how my home is actually more peaceful, manageable ...I love all the support from the members also 💕 (Thanks for reminding me, I have a return, I’ll hop to that now 😂 ) Love your Sunday Inspirations....💕
just found you tonight. this next week I've been planning to slowly clean the "unimportant" parts of my house... and you're inspiring me to declutter while I'm at it!
So loved your video today... really spoke to me... 5 minutes... pretty amazing + addressing our anxiety about the pandemic, the election, everything else...really needed! Thank y’all!💕💕
Do not ever doubt the impact that you may be having, or is what your doing meaningful, or of benefit to anyone... WITHOUT FAIL these videos, Sunday in particular, address something I’m dealing with right then. I cannot thank y’all enough for the Spirit led content and the heart that goes into what y’all are doing! You are not doing this in vain! I for one am so grateful!
I inherited my Mum’s photos. I went through them all as she had been on many bus tour holidays. I discarded any photo that didn’t show any faces I recognised, scenery pictures. Photos that were from her work, I put all together and took them to her work colleagues and asked if they would like them.
You are so good at this! Watching you make decisions and taking action is powerful inspiration and information. I also appreciate your reminder to focus on things you can control. Thank you!🙏
Uggh I watch you daily and missed cut off for membership group. On waiting list. One thing stood true to me Your intellect is not defined by the books, curriculums, papers we have! Thank you for sharing your faith I so need to share that with someone even if it is just on screen.
LOL! Love the possible decluttering response of others to letting go of the binders in perfect twin harmony “No”! I thank our Lord for the Blessing of you, Diana and Dawn.❤️
