I'm here! Boy have I been through some "stuff". Watch the video to find out what happened, if you wish to know more! After this debacle, watch for more "regular" uploads to the channel. And thanks for watching!
Hard to believe that one could miss babbling but it’s true. I miss a good 15 minute conversation on whether to put a garden hose on the water spigot on the back of a house that’s barely visible from anywhere on the layout! Good to have you back.
You certainly ‘go through the wars’ with your health, but thankfully your back again, let’s hope on the way to a full recovery. Also, it is good to hear someone being honest with regard to what has occurred to them especially as many people would rather not talk about such matters. Anyway, it’s great to have you back and an inspiration to us to us all, I ‘m certainly happy to listen to you ‘Babbling On’ anytime ! Take care and thank you for what you do and show us.
So glad to see you back and to hear you are on the mend! You have been an inspiration to me over the years and your scenery work has set gold standard for the hobby. Thank you for the hours of instruction and entertainment you've given me and the rest of your subscribers.
Your landscaping is so beautiful. I’m the modelbuilder at our house, but my husband accidentally took a look at my screen when your layout was in full view. He was very impressed with your scenery. That’s saying a lot. The transitions between your backdrop and trees/hills are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your immaculate craft.
This might be hard to describe, but should help you solder with one eye. You need a light on your desk (Not Diffused, but a focused light) in front of your chest 90 degrees to your table top pointing away from you. Put a vertical white card that the light will shine on behind the work you are going to solder. As you look down with your one good eye, you should be able to see the X and Y axis. Your problem with not having 2 eyes is depth so the iron might be too high or too low. you can not detect that. What you can see is the shadow of your iron and your work line up on the white card you placed at 90 degrees to your work. this will let you see if you are too high or to low. just line the shadows up. You can adjust the card to 45 leaning back or what ever you feel works for you. The goal is to see the 2 shadows line up.
By the number of comments and well wishes here I hope you know that you are loved and appreciated. You are, dare I say it, a "rock star" of the U tube model RR community. Get well and stay well and keep on rocking down the tracks.
Glad to see you back Rob. I'm praying for you man. You've seen a lot of trials and tribulations over the last few years but have come out on top which means a whole heck of a lot. Thank you for the update on the layout, but most importantly, the update about you.
Glad your ok Rob , your layout has been an inspiration to myself and I'm sure many others , I hope you sit down there often and enjoy the scenes you have created and give yourself an enormous amount of credit for the dedication you've put in to not only your layout but countless other layouts out there in model railway/you tube land through sharing your video's and babbles 🙂 Thanks as always. Richard.
….”welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, we’re so glad you could attend, come inside come inside!” Glad to see you back! Prayers for your health! Looking forward….! 🫡✌️
Its strange how one can become attacked to someone you have never met but I have. Had a few health issues myself so I can empathise with you. So glad to see you again good luck with the comeback.
so glad to see you back, Rob. Wishing you the very best of luck with your health. Heres to many more years of model railroading!! You are by far one of the most inspiring model railroaders out there!
Glad to see you are back! The layout looks great as always. Sounds like you have some good plans ahead. Sorry to hear about your medical issues. Thanks for the update and hope you feel better soon! Take care!
Hi Mr Bennett I’m from Brazil and a huge admirer of your layout. I was hopping your absence had nothing to do with health issues, seems it did, I wish you the best, we do care and can’t thank you enough for sharing such Beauty and knowledge with us all. Best regards and take care =)
Wow! Your new camera is superb! So sharp and clear, great colour too. Finally you have the means to show your modelling properly. Scenery and weathering looking splendid a real pleasure to watch. Get well soon Rob. btw
Very glad to know that you're doing OK. Sounds like you've had some tough months, but brighter days lie ahead! Your layout looks fantastic .... so much excellent detail and realism. Sending best wishes your way! Mike
A little late at commenting but im glad you are doing well and your layout is an inspiration for me. Your humor makes your content even more entertaining as well. Be blessed and cant for more builds and shenanigans! - Joey
Steve, so sorry to hear about your health issues. Sounds like you're on the road to recovery. Praise the Lord! The layout looks incredible! Hope you'll have someone video the next operating session, would LOVE to see trains runnin' on that beautiful pike! Will be praying for your quick and uneventful recovery!
Glad to see ya back! Now go get better! I am positive I'm not the only one who is inspired by you and your layout. I definitely am! Play when you can but more importantly do what is needed for you to get better! Happy model railroading!
Good to see and hear from you again. Hoping your health issues will improve greatly. Looking forward to seeing your layout in person when you are able.
As I always say to my wife, It's a good thing you're not a horse...she doesn't appreciate my humor. I've been waiting for an operation session video since before the virus. Looking forward to that and all the other updates on one of my favorite layouts. Happy to see you back and stay well, my friend.
Good to see you again, Rob! Hope everything goes well for you in recuperation. I always enjoy watching your progress on the railroad, but your well being is som much more important. Looking forward to more updates, when you are able.
Sorry to hear about your health issues, hope all ends well Steve. Your layout doesn't have mistakes, you have done a beautiful job. Been watching you build it for years. I drive for a living, your tinkering and building has kept me company for hundreds of thousands of miles.😊
Welcome back Rob! Have to say, no one can lay things out like you do. That small town area with the tractors on the ramp is just so believable. Glad you're on the mend.
Very pleased to see you back Rob, was thinking about you this very evening (here in the Netherlands) and amazingly a video popped up ;-) Good to know you're on the mend! Rgds, Joachim
I hope your health continues to improve and your eyesight comes back to normal. The layout is absolutely amazing. I see my cat, Sneakers, has been reincarnated and is living with you; he passed away a few years ago. He looks exactly like your cat.
Rob, ... Yikes! That is definitely some "stuff" to have gone through. I am glad you are feeling better and agree that an ops session is just what the Dr. ordered. Scott
I had a 270 degree retinal detachment back in 2005. You will get used to the diminished vision (somewhat), but it is better than losing the total vision in the eye. Stay patient and keep getting better. And use a good magnifying glass too!
Rob , Sorry to hear of the medical issues, I pray God heals you and that better days are ahead. Beautiful modelling as always. I always enjoy seeing your awesome masterpiece.
Oh boy, Stephen. What a time you've had. Getting old seems to be one d*mn thing after another, but it's still better than the alternative. Glad you are on the mend and will be making more videos. But take some time to smell the roses too, OK? Cheers from Wisconsin!
Hi Rob, sorry to hear you have been unwell. Pleased you are back. I love watching your building videos so I look forward to that kit. All the best Anthony.
I'm so sorry to hear of your medical issues. I pray your okay. You are my number one modeler and I enjoy your videos very much! I'm sure God will take care of you
Rough end to last year and start to this one! Glad to hear your voice and see the layout again, it means you're on your way to recovery. I think the new camera looks good and I really liked the way the NKP locomotives turned out, your modeling is still outstanding. God speed brother, looking forward to your next post.
Hi there! Glad to see you back. I'm pretty new to your channel, but have been eagerly devouring your back catalogue! Your laying is looking fantastic. One of my favourite RU-vid layouts along with Everard Junction in the UK. Attention to detail is what really grabs me, and you sir have it down pat. Best of luck with your health issues. Cheers!
SO glad you’re back! I was just thinking over the weekend that I haven’t seen a video from you in a while. Well this video clearly tells us why! Stay strong and keep fighting those pesky health issues. New audio and video is excellent as is your modeling. Take care and God bless.
Welcome back Rob. Great to see your videos again. You been missed by myself and the Network Rail Air Operations team. Stay Safe and well bud. Best Wishes Sean
Welcome back, we missed your videos, but your health more important. I was on antibiotics for severe infected gall bladder, I found cipro they gave me made me nauseous , so they gave me gravol to counter act it. Glad your feeling better look forward to your videos in future, layout looks great
Glad to see you back! Oh, these human bodies we live in, always something going on. Layout is looking great. I literally just picked up that very same yard office kit! Looking forward to your video on it. Have a good one!
Rob, Sorry to hear you have been unwell. I've been out of action since New Year... heart failure😢. Stopped my gallop. Still off work. Slow recovery journey like you. I've done little trains. They are in the loft out of reach! Only just starting to get up there. Wishing you a big dose of patience and a good recovery. Regards Stephen.
Thank you for updating the video. I am very worried about the various symptoms in your body. I'm relieved to be able to confirm your energetic appearance. I just hope you don't force your body to do it.😢
So glad to finally hear from you. Glad you're feeling better! I can EMPATHISE with sudden doctors/meds and stuff. Almost 2 years ago now, I went in for my first ordinary check up in YEARS. From no pills to 3 pills plus insulin pen for the diabetes I didn't know I had. I''d bet your stomach upset is one of the drugs. They had me on Metphormin (another diabetes drug) for awhile, and it did NOT agree with me. Anyway, look forward to updates. Take care my friend.
Good to see you again! Model railroading is perfect for little projects that fit the time available. As for your vision, have you tried modelling with a patch over your wonky eye? It's one thing to develop depth perception with only one eye but it's something else when the wonky eye is throwing incorrect vision into the mix. Good luck, my friend. We're cheering for you!
Glad to see your post. Hope you get feeling better all together without any issues. Will be waiting for your upcoming videos. Again, glad you are still kicking and alive.
Was thinking of you just today. Many Prayers and Hugs headed your way brother. Continue to improve and look forward to seeing and hearing from you again in the future.
Great to hear from you again. I've been looking and wondering. Sorry about the continued health issues, but happy you have it under control. Hang in there!
Have the A-line bullseye jigs to drill and tap the Athearn coupler boxes also. Makes it a breeze, well worth it for me. Glad you're on the mend. Missed your videos.
Good to ser You back!! The cat is Stanley as in the "saga of Stanley", oh boy, that brings me back a few years ago... When your son used to help, but girls came by... Cheers My friend!!!
