What’s the #1 thing you look for when deciding a new place to live? 🏡 Thanks for watching guys 🐢, I’m sorry the vids are fewer and far between these days but I appreciate y’all coming back so much, truly 🤍
I value size, quality (which includes the place itself, its view, surroundings, etc) and price first. There is no such thing as #1 thing for me because those 3 things work in conjunction. Meaning I would be willing to live further out if I get a really nice place. Last time I moved (mind you I moved country too), I found a brand new place, on the 33rd floor with a balcony with a full sea view at a dirt cheap price (as compared to central areas) and moved in with my Labrador and Weimaraner. One caveat, it was far. I ended up buying a new car paying parking at home as well as at the office driving to work which is a bit of a luxury where I am at. Door to door, 1 hour and I would burn 1 full tank every 4 days plus I had to pay a ton of toll fees. Still, it was far cheaper had I lived in a central residential area. In short, I would go for quality (at an affordable price) over convenience any day. In NYC is a bit different especially when you are talking about Manhattan, I know you are trying to combine both quality and convenience. If I have to apply my example to NYC, not that I know the place nor the prices that well, my guess is probably going to be something like would you rather live further out in say Brooklyn Heights and have a perfect sea view of the Manhattan skyline as opposed to your square on the map like Soho for example?
You’re so cool! I’m in my “watch young single women with no kids live and work in NYC” era because I’m a married mom living in the burbs and this is my escape 😂😂
Girl, it was soo nice to wake up this morning and see that you posted. I missed your sunny personality and fun tidbits you're always teaching us about. Glad that your rental wish list was fulfilled. Good luck in your new 'hood and hope that you have a fabulous summer!
Nice! Loved your view but the exploration point makes a lot of sense, i'd probably do something similar in your situation NYC numbers are crazy tho lol $3k per month with 2 other roomies is like $9k a month LOL must be a nice place
Hi Taylor, this is the first time i am commenting in one of your videos. I am Greek and i grew up and permanently live in a Greek island. Here life is totally opposite campared to the life in a big city like New York. There is no stress, no traffic, no street noise, no need for public transportation, everything is calm and quiet near the sea. On the other hand, there are no beautiful skyscrapers, tons of new people to meet and new experiences to live. I guess in every place you gain something and you lose something else. My dream is to visit NYC at some point and its so nice being able to live it through your eyes until i am able to. Keep up the nice videos and being the shiny, fresh, joyful, brave person you are! (sorry for my bad English)
Hey Kostas That's such a wonderful description of Greece. I've been really wanting to visit that country - I've always loved the history. Hope I do some day :) Cheers :)
@@user-rb4lv4if9q there are many many beautiful islands to visit and you wont be disappointed whichever you choose. happy to give you info if you decide to visit sometime!
@@Taylor-LaMantia it sure is during the summer! If you ever decide to visit, i promise you wont be disappointed! happy to provide recommendations if you ever decide it
@@kostasmath89 it is on my wish list! I was considering Athens (I love history!), and either Mykonos or Santorini. Do you have tips and suggestions for an American (vegetarian) traveler? Thank you! 😊

Once you get to a certain age, it becomes impossible to find people who are still willing with live with roommates. It’s a blessing in disguise because living alone is infinitely better than having other people so close in your personal space. Restaurants are where I go to hang out with people. Home is where you avoid people for some peace and quite time, as well as valuable productivity time.
Hi Taylor. Im not part of you demographics I find you so smart. You remind me of my step daughter she’s around your age. She’s going to Pace university She graduated from St John. Now she going to school to be a lawyer. I’m 72 I have 5 kids I live in Ny. Don’t worry I’m not hitting on you. I hope when you find that person who you make them your partner they understand you are brilliant, fun, ambitious, I enjoy listening to you. My stepdaughter moved to the city and you make me miss her. I wish you all the happiness and success you deserve it. Keep up with these youtubes
Done ever so well .. just the right balance of quirk and info . Acid test , will you manage to equal or even surpass apartment tour 1 which is a modern classic.. on this form I think it may Just be possible ..👍
Very articulate…..speaks well….❤️😎❤️👏❤️🥳❤️ ….. u can measure your success…..bc who can afford $3,100/mo for rent? As a single person? Well, good to see you’re still laughing & having a good time 😂😅🤣
Congrats on the move, also for a really well thought out, presented and edited video! As someone who is considering this situation myself currently, interesting to hear your thoughts, views and priorities regarding potentially moving. Given me a couple more things to think about for sure!
$3100 per person or $3100 TOTAL for the three of you. I mean...if it's $3100 TOTAL for the three of you you'll have to be more specific of the neighborhood you found that rare gem in! lol
Congrats on the new move! I love your take on practicality. We're planning our exit strategy from our current location and practicality has gone WAY up on our list LOL 2 years ago we moved from a duplex in the middle of a down-town area, out to a house on an acre in the country... Never realized how important food and convenience were going to be until I didn't have them LOL
4:49 Not key performance indicators NYC apartment hunting lol 😂 definitely hear you on the practical piece! In NYC, when you you have easy access to food, transportation, etc. = 👨🏾🍳👌🏾
Congratulations Taylor! You did a great job with your video! You work so hard with your video! I just graduated with my A.A degree couple weeks ago from a 2-year college. For next step is to get my B.A degree. I want to study Broadcast Journalism at a 4-year college. I will be doing internship as well! Hope everything is well with you! Again, congratulations on your apartment. Great job! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤️
Congratulations Taylor! Lovely to have you back on Yt. I'm curious, do you have any recommendations for someone who wants to move to NYC and find a job as a mechanical engineer? Got some industrial engineering and business development in my luggage!
I'm really thrilled by the news Taylor! I've been watchin your videos since i've discovered your channel because that apartment guy I love your contents on your current apartment and im actually gonna miss it haha
Not telling people the exact area you’re moving to is definitely wise. That being said, if your new place has windows and views like your current place, it won’t be too difficult for people to figure it out. Whenever I watch videos people make in their apartments in manhattan, I always think every New Yorker watching this now knows where this RU-vidr lives. 8:11
Lived in Hell's Kitchen for a few years. I always wanted to move to the Lower East Side but that rent stabilization always kept me in one place. Now that I live in MN, when I visit I stay at a cool hotel on the near the Lower East Side. It's called Off Soho Suites and the rooms are actually apartments, not hotel rooms, so you get the hipster experience when you visit.
Salam Taylor, your channel is very wonderful, it is worth watching, your videos are very beautiful, I loved it. I have the idea of taking your videos and translating them into Arabic, and suggesting them to Moroccans and Arabs. What do you think?
Hello from Brazil Taylor i wish you all best in your life. 9:08 you make me remember when I practice voice training every day to improve my german pronunciation, hi tartlets 🐢 ✌️
I hated to hear this! I loved you apt so much with the great views, great facilities and rent stabilization. I look forward to seeing your next spot, I'm sure in its own way will be great, you way good taste. See ya!
After you move out, would you tell us what building you were living? This building has mesmerized me ever since the first video of yours I watched and I want to add it to my list for as I'm planning a move to Manhattan in the near future
Yeahy! I actually dm’d you on insta yesterday saying “post more” 😀 so good to see you and I wish you all the best in your new place, I hear you on the memories though. I’m gonna miss that place and I’ve never been near there! Your tour of the place was the first post of yours I ever saw 😄 peace and good summers to you from London 🇬🇧

Randomly came across this video and watched the whole thing and now I'm subscribing! 3,100 in that box is great! I'm excited to see, especially since I just renewed my lease for 2,900 in downtown Brooklyn but have wanted to make the move to Manhattan.
And give up your rent stabilized apartment? =( I don't know anyone that lives up in midtown. Seems you payed al ot to be so far from everything. wow $3,100 a month. You must be doing well at work. Congrats. =)
