They only changed his default color into green, and also they can't just not change the color because if gloo is green and the effects are violet/purple it would look weird and stupid, so they came up with the solution of changing his color.
I am maining him bc i like how i can "stick" onto people and have enemies hurt their allies, nothing feels better than trying to kill a Gloo while not realising your killing ur own teammate XD. Plus I love the fact that is an underrated hidden jewel.
And even he is lack of set skill he always works perfectly (for me) because he can just stick throw then get assist or the kill then get low cooldown then report
Gloo actually really solid tank but his 2nd skill have a long cd and 1st skill use a lot of mana. While his ult is like 2 sided sword, on the good side he can poke and scare the enemies away and attach the enemy backline and brought it to our team. But on the bad side his little gloo when using ultimate can be really benefit enemies like faramis,vale,ruby,vexana and many more
@@suntzumlbb147 Well he can reduce enemies damage up to 40% when his stack is full and combine it with antique curass, he can reduce enemies damage up to 68% (for pyshical damage) and 68% damage reduction (for physical damage) were a lot and make him a solid tank. But its also depends when the player using it
You know i kinda choked on my food when i saw that _image_ 🗿 0:56 *_Elgin is down horrendous_* Elgin being downbad aside, not only the nerfs but also how bad he is against certain lineups, he’s better off as a situational pick against lineups that dont have chain dmg heroes like Vexana, Faramis, Vale and sustain/spellvamp heroes like Ruby, Lapu2, Thamuz and more. He’s still good when it comes to annoying the enemies, especially catching their squishy backlines to then drag them to ur team to kill. Since he’s also a tank, u will still need to depend on ur team to do the dmg and clean up while u distract and soak the dmg as gloo.
I use Gloo all the times nowadays. He's a pretty solid tank and can melt any squishy hero in no time. Also he's very good at ganking, because of his ult. He's one of my favorite damage tank alongside Belerick, but I think the others underestimated him because there are other op heros in the meta right now.
I used to play him a lot too as a roam and side lane. But I think the rise of Dyrroth made him less viable in today's META. But still an A- tier pick to be honest if played correctly

Gloo is heavily countered by Vale and Faramis, so there's a reason why he's off the meta rn. Overall, he's a very fun tank to play and his skills have short cd (except his s2) and can be a bully in exp if played properly. Tankier than Uranus (depends on the user, but on my perspective, Gloo is very tanky because of his passive and his ult) can deal decent damage, and most importantly, he can counter exp laners because of his high dmg reduction.
@@janiraldvillaflores9586 as a gloo new user i disagree all i do is 1st then 2nd then 1st then 3rd skill which can survive from them and once you stick on vale when there is teammates around he is useless
I remember playing pre-nerfed Gloo and the enemy team would always counter pick him with Vale, Faramis, Vexana, etc. Gloo is quite vulnerable in ultimate form when those heroes are around.
I think it would be really great if they reduce the animation time between he's ult form and the form when he sticks onto fully stacked enemy cuz there are many times it's so annoying and i keep on spamming the button till he attaches. It would help a lot if the animation time is reduced
Gloo is not a bad tank its just that due to the buff to inspire/fighters getting some love its harder for it to be tanky in early game he suffers from it and the meta right now benifts from aggressive tanks
Gloo is a hero I use a lot when the enemy team doesn't pick ling or other tanks. he absolutely demolishes a 1v5 if you play him correctly and he's one of the most solid heroes for solo queue in my opinion.
Its rare to see gloo users so now i main and enjoy it its now my 2nd favorite hero this tank is like a fighter that needs to just roam around and anywhere when spotted enemy spam 1st then 2nd then 1st then 1st if you think its enough then do 3rd skill then stick and throw them where the hero at gloo has high survivability in 3rd skilli dont know why no one uses it anymore but i swear its good and alwayd work on almost every situation im still enjoying this hero because of how fun 1st and 3rd skill short cooldown and dont need amy set and still work perfectly
I think his potential would increase if they made his gameplay a bit more Smoother (The Delay of the ult when you are escaping a enemy ult, 1st and second skill combo)
just tips if you're planning to use gloo don't pick him 1st,2nd the enemy will counter it with squishy heroes ex: lylia,claude,chou,kadita,wanwan and belerick better pick him last or 4th.
As someone who uses gloo alot i can easily say that people are sleeping on him alot. He did get nerfed alot but to be honest if he didnt then he would be banned 24/7 for how strong he would be, not to mention he got very important buffs too before. You need to adapt ur build to counter enemies, try to avoid going solo specially if the enemy has healing capabilities, be extremely aware of how much stacks you put on the enemy (because you can stick to people without getting near them technically), and most importantly being aware of ur first skill placement and trying constantly to reset it. Gloo has alot of intricacies like stack building from far away, strategic ult resetting and enemy pulls out of towers or into your own towers, and even helping teammates destroy turrets when minions die. You just have to keep playing him.
Gloo is good at one thing and he's very good at it, and that is locking squishy heroes. Equipped with execute and dire hit he can solo any marksman, Mage, some assassin and fighter. He may be underused, but he has one job and he's really, really, good at it.
0:05 now that you said it, isn't that how his ult works 😳? I cant tell if having that mentality would increase or decrease his usage rate. Ok but nah seriously even I have no clue why Gloo has low usage, he's pretty sturdy with his damage reduction passive.
i got a maniac using gloo twice because of how his ult's cd shortens when successfully killing the enemy (when he's riding them). when paired with skilled teammates, i can basically wipe them all, as long as you focus the damage dealers first..
He is still effective, but with his 2nd skill having a long cool down and his nerfs he is falling down, and all meta fighters have sustain, but gloo has not. I do go all tank build since the nerf effect his durability especially vs late game heroes like karrie and Miya. He is still a solid tank/offlaner none the less.
