It's pretty wild that folks are interested to what I'm up to these days. I've gotten so many messages and inboxes from the video, it's really hard to know where to start.
you are absolutely right! in fact the problem is that the web has not generated (at least in large part) care and sincere interest, but just curiosity.
What's your point? Go make your own video and ask "how's Larry". Man, do I ever feel guilty for wondering "where's Larry" instead of "how's Larry". Here's a better one: "who is Larry? Why should I give a fuck why is Larry Larry?" Get bent.
@@skyscraper7474 ah yes, we should get deeply involved with every stranger we see on RU-vid that reminds us of the good old days from the 80s. Are you for real?
@@dickiegreenleaf750 I think you're weird for thinking its weird. You'd normally think that the straight laced uptight kids would grow up to be lawyers, not the laid back metalhead rebel type
Hey attorneys have to be well spoken! He was articulate as hell for his age in the original Larry video! I want to hire Larry as my attorney! I totally need one badly right now! I wonder where he practices?
@@The_trinity-yj8po who knows all 3 are busy everybody's busy who knows Maybe Darrel was just thinking maybe something might happen this week or over the weekend?
Mars Townshend You’ll get through this. But wear your retainer or you’ll end up like my bro getting Invisalign as an adult only to end up with teeth that look like a shark.
How can Larry say he was a little embarrased? I am 24 years old now and when I saw that video I could bet he was the coolest kid in the neighborhood BY FAR. I mean, he liked Metal, he had style, he was friendly and knew cool places... besides he was charismatic and by no means bad looking. Now tell me that ain't cool
Larry is really a music fan, it’s cool that he didn’t stop loving music and you can notice he really enjoys talking about his record collection and all those rarities vinyls
Why do we care what happened to Larry ??? Because like him, the 80s were probably the best time for the lives of all the people that saw that video. He did what we were doing. He was us, we were him. Watching that video reminded all of us what we were feeling and living in those times. What is was like. We know what happened to us, we want to know what happened to one of our own and how he came out from those great times and into these crazy times!!!
Oh hell yes! I bet he might have enough to do a series! He could call it "Larry's Vinyls." I thought it was an interesting trip through time. Thank you for posting the vintage video and this follow up! I also hope everyone is doing well and are safe and healthy. Does the guys still jam out to metal? What do they think of the metal bands that are out there now putting out new music and touring (Obviously when covid-19 is done with they can tour again... And hopefully it will be soon...!)
@@KissMyBiscuits i do the spandex under the shredded denim and i still have my denim jacket from 30 years ago . it looks better than ever! IM READY TO ROCK !
Yes! This is the closure we all needed. Glad Larry's still alive and cool haha. 🤘🏻 And Larry - no cringe on that video at all. It was just a pure, raw moment of 80's life

The cringe might be the I just suck it-comment on the lollipop. It can be misconstrewed (most likely intentional, but still it makes sex...sense) as sexual, miggt've been a tense moment between parent n kid...
I remember we had a band with a logo and even had band meetings but none of us actually knew how to play anything. We used to sit around and make plans and even had friends who were going to be our roadies and girls at our school who were official groupies for when we finally learned to play and had an actual "gig" but, of course, it never happened, lol. Man, I miss being a dumb "metal head" kid in the 80's.
I remember seeing Motley Crue on the Girls, Girls, Girls tour. It was my first real concert. 1 was 15 and I can still remember it like it was a few years ago. No one had a cell phone. We watched the show and screamed and jumped up and down and thought we were the coolest. The crue was at the top of their game and they were awesome!! It’s so sad to see them now 😅
You may have seen it by now but this link of Attorney Larry speaking to the media after a court decision was posted in several other threads ... he definitely doesn't have the metalhead look anymore haha: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F3Ej5TWlOAI.html
My husband and I were talking about this last night. It was a great time to be a kid. I was on the west coast and knew a lot of famous band members. There were lots of clubs they played in when they were just starting and I had a fake I.D. We did all kinds of crazy stuff. Best time musically. We were happy. None of the depressing stuff going on now. I'm still rocking with Dokken. I still have my Spinal Tap backstage pass.😁 At 57 I finally am learning to play the drums and having a blast.
What's so funny is back in those days, they started putting parental advisory notices on albums like Shout at the Devil and Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz because they thought it was devil music. 😆😆 You guys seem like you turned out good. Just so funny how parents thought our music would turn us into criminals etc. . . I still love that music as I'm turning 50 this month. . .lol! Rock on! 🤘🤘
Tipper Gore and the mothers of prevention If you haven't seen it watch the video of Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister testifying before the PMRC hearing in 1985.
Whats crazy about it to me, is that Larry kept saying "To all you watching this right now" haha! Little did he know then, that there indeed is a shit load of people watching it, only from a different timeline bahahaha I love these videos and so happy i randomly found your channel.
Still a metalhead. Shott perfecto leather jacket, long black matterd hair, jeans, biker boots, spikes, band t-shirt (motörhead) and a few tattooes. Living the '80s dream baby! Motörhead, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Guns and Metallica... I need nothing new!
Oh man...i grew my hair last year and i loved it......unfortunately my wife and kidz didnt....so now i have a LIAM GALLAGHER cut....and thats about as far as i can go......BUT METAL I WILL TAKE TO MY GRAVE......in fact me and the wife danced to FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS at my wedding reception....

My bf and I loved the video . We are close to the same age . Just brings back memories of a better time . Nice to find out more about Larry , I thought he was so funny .
@@Metalkitty33 yeah it's crazy looking back how fast the time flies by! I was 15/16 in 89 but unfortunately did not see Metallica that year but a lot of the metalheads in school had Metallica patches on their jean jackets. I was a little late to the party and became a metalhead the following year lol

I'm Philip Holmes from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. In 1989 I was 18 years old , We care because it was our era Our time and that ment something. So thanks guys
I'm glad he's alive and doing well , many of my friends that reminds me of him back in those days are dead and gone, in prison or so ridiculously into drugs that I've lost contact because we took different paths
Ok... I have to say I happen to just stumble acrossed your videos. I am so glad that I did. Your videos remind me of a time go past, something that kids today will never experience. That people who are older cherish. Those video's are almost like a drug, you just can not get enough. Please keep showing more, seriously. In a time right now We truly need this. Something nostalgic and happy, joyous. Reminiscent of days gone past. So I say with a gracious heart Thank-You so very much! One more thing to add, there is a huge resurgence of kids today buying albums and getting record players my son at 18 is one of them. She also plays guitar and plays bass guitar. He has many genres of music. Can I say we are thrilled by this in many ways!
Myyyyyyyy godddddddd!!!! I was about the same age back then. I was a female metalhead! Watching this made me so happy!!!! Oh the times back then was so different!!!! Makes me miss it. Thank you for sharing this wonderful peace of history. Haha.
@@angieschrimscher246 My faves were the Fire Stix, Cherry and Green Apple. I liked how they would fit on the roof of your mouth like a retainer, but not recommended for the FIre one. 😂
I grew up in the 80s through the hair metal. Even though my life is a little different now, I still have all my old albums and cassettes. Lots of cool photos, concert tickets, posters, etc. Good chapter in my life for sure. Good times man. Good times 🎸
Your Vids by far beat everything thats on TV right now......you captured moments that another million of us were living simultaneously. Looking forward to the Follow up “Larry” episode!
Just watched the Metalhead Teens go to a Record store video! This is definitely Rad to see a video from that time period. I was 2 in 89' but feel like I grew up in the 80's given my mom and dad showing me the culture of the time while growing up. That was a cool feel good video.
My buddy Jim and I have so many home videos from the 80s and were identical to you guys it’s so weird. We are both now 52 and 51 years old. We have hours and hours of video. We also had a band called Rude Awakening. We were huge Kiss fans and still have our collections and vinyl. I love that I found your channel.
These guys were cute boys in the 80s and seem to be still adorable. I still would have been too old for them back then, but they’re the kind of boys I used to hang out with and crush on.
Pretty Boy Floyd....lol. When the band Ugly Kid Joe came out around the same time as PBF, the singer stated they came up with their name in a way of making fun of PBF. Pretty funny.
Awesome, I'm glad you guys still keep in touch. Ever since I saw that Metalhead teen video I had to know what happened to Larry. I can now rest better, lol. I look forward to seeing the zoom call. Love the content, great channel.
Awesome that you made this video and reached out to Larry. I hope he is willing to shoot a video via zoom or whatever and share his albums and any other memorabilia he might have. Thanks for the memories your videos bring back!
Larry y’all were so cool in that video and the hair bro!!!!!!!!!! Nah this video is legendary and I hope for the love of God you still air shred every now and then. Thanks for being an unexpected part of internet history. Made my day
Well that’s really cool to know Larry’s still a really cool dude, love that he still has his records, I can only imagine the gems he’s got in his collection man..
The video with Larry going to the record store and the convenience store is the first video I saw. I thought Larry was pretty memorable so I noticed when he wasn't in many other videos. That video built up the other videos like Larry was going to have a consistent part in them. I thought it was going to be "The adventures of Eric, Darrell, and Larry" so of course since he's been absent it feels like a piece is missing.
Thank u. That was exactly what us "where's Larry" folk were looking for. I recommend the DVD of heavy metal parking lot, because the 6 hours of bonus footage includes them tracking down the old metalheads, seeing what they're doing nowadays.
We finally hear from Larry!!!! So awesome you guys are all still friends after all this time :) cool that you guys mentioned Pretty Boy Floyd - I kind of had a similar encounter with that album like 15 years ago when I was a kid getting into records. It was on a market stall and at the time I‘d just got hooked on Mötley Crüe, so the OTT glam artwork grabbed me straight away!
I honestly thought that video was made recently to look like it was made in 85 until I seen more than two cars from that era and then I was just hooked, I grew up in the last generation where my friends and I would go walking around town and go to the mall to the CD store etc. I was born in 90 so that would be the early to mid 2010s after that, social media took over the world. So glad i missed it by a few years. I remember getting my first cell phone at 15 and I didn’t even want one at all, family made me get a nextell with the chirp thing and I even had to pay my own bill at 15 lol things have changed SO FAST the 60s up until the early 2000s were good times.
