I personally viewed Michael Jackson differently.. he was just hugely talented musically, I guess that was gift from God. MJ was extremely gentle with people and extremely humble. Certainly priests like Mar Mari and Archbishop Fulton Sheen did gain fame but the did not want it for their own personal benefit or to make money (unlike many protestant preachers especially telly evangelists often exposed as hypocrites and fraudsters/thieves) - these holy men were just doing their job as priests as required by Jesus in His great commission to spread the good news and teach what He taught the disciples. If you model yourself on celebrities especially the ones from the West you'll probably end up in Hell; whereas trying to more like these holy bishops will increase your chances of making it to Heaven.
