They gave tip to journalist so that they can expose him and bring the market down to stop incurring losses as they short sold shares and went against the market which was continuously trending upwards due to Harshad Mehta and his illegal funding he got by scamming banks. Every bear from the bear cartel might have been on road if they didn't stop Harshad by no other means left but news.

Well it wasn't a single mistake if he were somehow maintained bank trusts like he usually did this would have never happened in first place and also it was a bubble economy he was creating by investing huge sums thereby rigging whole market by circulating cash and making people think demand of this share is very high but when everyone knows it burst and collapses which RBI governor hinted in many scenes he is the actual hero if he kept it for more 1 week and then cash out it would have been a disaster

The BIGGEST IDIOT in all this was SUCHETA DALAL. She was used by the BEAR Cartel to plant a story. later she was reqarded with Padmashri for her idiocracy. She had hatred for HArshad and she went after him. Why didn't she write about Kayan or Jhunjhunwala or any other operator. WHy only Harshad and Ketan Parekh. Actually there was a Gujurati Cartel and a Marwadi Cartel in the market in those days (Read Bulls, Bears and Other Beasts book for more info)...Marwadi cartel used Dalal against the Gujurati cartel.

And many other normal investors would also have empty bowl in the hands, because growth of the shares were artificial, there wasn't going to be dividend because there was no such buisness or profits going on such companies and all the stocks that Harshad bought and put aside to create an artificial demand of those shares would have crashed and burned when he had to sell those shares. And that would have brought biggest crash in the market. Just because he was very bullish doesn't mean that he wasn't going to sell those stocks and those stocks price won't plummet. And when those prices plummeted, normal investors who followed his path would lose their money.

Harshad is not a hero. Please everyone understand that this show also try to show real selfish and sacrificing nature of human. He also destroy many to actually create profit for him and country overall also. City bank does same thing but it does this for themselves and a foreign country not for india. But similarly city bank also create employment and money for many others just like harshad. But it's profit goes to a foreign country and harshad's goes to india. Just like everyone he is also selfish and his big bull method create a similar and smaller case of great depression. In the end we should also criticise him because it is our work for own profit it will effect our society in the end. So criticism is not wrong also. In the end, everyone is selfish and they do their respective work because it is the only way to live for them or earn money and respect. In harshad mehta case, his method destroy other to make profit for himself, his supporters and finally for country as a whole. City bank also make profit for themselves, their supporters (their supporters are also their investors and normal people just like harshad) but not for india. They make profit for other countries as a whole.

He took advantage of the loop hole in the system, which was a known practice in the market. He was targeted and killed in custody because he went against the Congress Government. And as always reporters who painted the pictures were conferred with Bharat Ratna/ Padmashree kind of awards .. Congress is using this machinery since long... He is not a hero. He is just being seen with kindness. And the reason is the approach the Press and Govt took towards him. I too believe he was wrong and bcoz of him many people lost everything. But why he should be blamed alone? As he said in his real interview, such scams cannot be operated by a single person, its a whole bunch of powerful people. But only his name came in front and for all the politicians and fraud people Harshad Mehta was the scapegoat. And that's why audience is having that soft corner for him. Also unlike Nirav modi, Malya he didn't leave country. He stood there and cooperated with govt agencies in all the proceedings. And that doesn't make him a thief, he was just over ambitious and that took him to downfall.

Please read this comment. This series has just tried to clean Harshad mehta's image. Such kind of person bcoz of whom many people faced losses and many people did suicide is not worthy of your sympathy. Mr Nemish shah is from my city. He is really well, kind hearted person, With moral and ethics. I have lots of respect for him. A great person from rags to riches.
