I mean we also never heard about Changli either before except drip marketing. She was in the story talking with Jinhsi through communicator and mentioned sure, but Xiangli Yao was also described by Mortefi. And I think it's good to not release Scar or Camellya anytime soon to build even more and more hype through the story and anticipation + not let them powercreep everyone right at the start of the game and then get powercrept themselves EDIT: Also Yinlin too appeared out of nowhere since she had no impact in the main story.
@@Pommetree I'm sorry. I just realized drip here means like "water dripping". Not drip as in fashion/meme sense. shaking my smh head But I digress. It's still stupid to expect any news when it hasn't been a week since the new patch. Jinhsi and Changli news came to because of CBT tests, I believe. PGR does the same; they do some CBT test for the new frames, and then content creators make videos of it. Not whatever Genshin "drip marketing" is doing.
@@teucerceoofgenshincreative8019 Its a new game? Genshin has been out for years and you can predict it since they've done it consistently for many times but for wuwa you cant really bet on them since they did that for only one time and mightve done that early just to bring more players.
@@teucerceoofgenshincreative8019 1.1 was moved week early. So maybe only for 1.1 drip market late. But it dosent matter this is kuro they could go different way
Idk how drip marketing "combats leaks" (wow they revealed the character before the leakers, omg, that doesn't change anything), but I'll say drip marketing is also a way to keep players motivated, it's like a trailer. If you've cleared the fun content and upgraded the characters you wanted, what left is there to keep you doing dailies and repetitive stuff...
There won't be drip marketing because y'all getting the leaks from the beta anyway. Why waste money like that? There is not hoyo. They know what y'all do.
