Another detailed guide to what’s what with the BMW, also nukes the fuse, which you have to remove in bits with needle noses. Great video making doing these bits and bobs simplicity.
Hello i have a series 1 f20 and when trying to change the trunk light bulb ( wanted an led) i made a short , now it does light at all i checked all the trunk fuses box but all of them seem to be fine, any idea what am i doing wrong? Thank you!!!
Matt my fan will not run to cool- it only runs when the AC is turned on, ive been told its poss the relay ( fan ) or the fan sensor module- ( not the water pump as ive checked & its working) thank you in advance
The last one u didn’t include is on the left hand side, roughly where the bonnet release is but opposite side (for rhd cars) and the fuse box is built into the bcm but you have to take off a little cover to see the fuses
Hey :) I have been trying to find time to make a video on the FEM :) I hope I don't snap any clips with removing the door sill plastic. lol :) cheers Jamie :) Matt
Hi matt, I'm trying to fit a parking dash cam, can you tell me which fuses are permanent live (without ignition) and would be the most sensible to use for it? Don't worry I understand fitting it is all at my own risk! TIA
C3110player hello :) I had to check google for this one as I just use the cigarette lighter for mine, and as you know the power for the cigarette lighter cuts off after a certain time. This was on a 1 series forum. www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=112345
On my f20 windshield washer does not work, rear works fine. Want to check the fuse if you know which one is it. If I am reading the diagram correct there is no number by the symbol for windscreen washer just a car on a lift which i presume means take it to the dealer. BTW nice video. Subscried.
Hey, I’m sorry I just saw your message. I’ll jump on the computer and try and work it out for you. There is a chance that it will be in the front electronic module. I need to make a video for that one :)
@@mattsbeamer no sweat, I got a E87, wife drives a F20 and recently shes been getting drive train error. Saw your other vid on problems you had with that error, it was helpful however im leaning towards ruling out small possible reasons for it 1st and saw some mention fuel pump relay replacement.
Здорова, не могли бы вы мне подсказать какой предохранителеь для стеклоомыватель у меня вода не бризгает а дворники работают . С задний стеклоомывалеть бризгает воду Заранне спасибо 🙈
Hello. My horn stopped working. Id say might be a fuse or relay, any idea where i can find the fuse/relay for my horns and how to access it? Thank you!
Hello, I m sorry I didn't comment before. Someone else asked today. I will make a video. But until then, this was my reply... Your FEM is on the same side of the cars your glove box. It is behind all the panel work related to the A-pillar. Here it is when it is all been moved away... www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/components-connectors/components/components-with-f/f14-fuse/KQ5WNSdR Remember this picture in the link is a RHD car. Some of the pictures you will see may show the opposite side of the car but ignore that, it saves them doing the instructions twice. First of all, make sure the car is unlocked, and disconnect the negative battery terminal (if you should want to remove the FEM fully). Then go to the side of the FEM, and remove the door strip... www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/repair-manuals/61-general-vehicle-electrical-system/61-35-control-units-modules/EPcpmHaY You are recommended to use a trim removal tool. Then you will need to remove the trim below the glove box. www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/repair-manuals/61-general-vehicle-electrical-system/61-35-control-units-modules/H0fUsHYm be aware of anything like lights or the 12v power socket before, don't damage any wires. Then you will need to remove the side panel on the A-pillar, but you also need to pull away the rubber strip... www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/repair-manuals/61-general-vehicle-electrical-system/61-35-control-units-modules/H7OPTEZo When it comes to reinstalling this later, make sure the trim is sitting right... www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/repair-manuals/61-general-vehicle-electrical-system/61-35-control-units-modules/8HthLMFy For the next picture link, just pay attention to the top picture. you will need to remove that little cover. When that is removed you will see the little fuses. Its clearer on this link. www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-116i-sha/wiring-functional-info/body/system-analyses/lin-master/GJ2nnLIK going by this picture it shows you that the fuse for the horn (fanfare) is number 14 (on this diagram it is the blue fuse). Make sure you replace it with the same type of fuse, and hopefully it should work. As you aren't disconnecting the battery it will be easy to test. Refitting is in reverse :) I hope this helps and good luck. I need to do a video now lol :)
Hi there, need help on FEM / ICM = error i getting is D0157A kept saying the over threshold voltage, and battery voltage over. so i using ista was lead to the front near the leg room there FEM unit. and i using the software to dignose.. seems like all ok. but i do not know what to do next. im good in hardware replacement but regards on wiring and this .. a bit not good at it
after dig dig . i notice last guy whom install my battery , never help me register when i try to find this problem so now i had register. for past a week but i never check is the error still there. some said if no register the battery will keep overcharging.
I have never bought BMW fuses for my old BMWs but as electrics are becoming more complex I would go to the dealership or a company who sells Littelfuse fuses. They used to use Pudenz fuses, but Littelfuse bought out the company. :)
Zachariah M Rahman hey, I will make a video soon. But I think it’s located in the FEM I think fuse f14. www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f20-118i-sha/GS4sTOpl
