I've always imagined this wasn't Light's first time staging a coup in the classroom, I feel like this happened a few times in elementary school lmao

the ANGLES, the DYNAMIC POSES, the CAMERA MOVEMENTS???? this is legitimately a masterpiece

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I love how the teacher looks extremely frightened of Light and/or his arguements which is damn good foreshadowing for the path he takes later on.

What I really love about the Death Note musical is that Light, before getting the Death Note and becoming Kira, was a genuinely stand-up kid with good ideals. And we get to see them twisted and pushed to the extremes when he becomes Kira.

POV: you’re just trying to get through the day when *that kid* starts wasting the teacher’s time with complicated questions to be a smartass. Little did they know that the teacher is also a debate lord, and now their “discussion” is cutting into lunchtime. You don’t get to eat your fruit rollups. Your day is ruined.

I especially love the teacher's fearful expressions as he realizes Light's sway over his classmates

This is gorgeous. It's a crime that RU-vid didn't recommend this animatic to me and I had to come looking for it, because it's everything I love. I'm happy to see it's been getting the views it deserves, regardless. I love the way Light is drawn: his red eyes to contrast the shades of gray around him, his twisted body poses to mimic his warped worldview. I love that his face is drawn with more curves in the moments where his idealism and compassion slip through, but the lines in his eyes especially become sharper and narrower the more draconian he becomes. I love the stylized way the "evils of the world" are drawn - the flowy, multi-line sketch style that heightens the fear of the woman running and the malice of the corrupt lawyer. I love the rainbow prism lighting effect from the window. It gives the whole scene dimension and really elevates it to a more polished borderline-animation level. The camera movement on the last shot is excellent. You really get the sense of Light's ideology permeating the class and the teacher's fearful realization that his logic stands no chance against the budding populist mob rule. Wonderful work. I really enjoyed it.

WOAH Each individual frame is so good, and they all go together so well! I really like what you did with the white-on-black sketches for the various situations Light's describing. The whole thing was really dynamic, too, which I loved (and CGI in an animatic? wow). Also small thing, but I love the way you draw glass!

I love this animation as also the song. Because it's the biggest true that people just say ''That's how things are, we can't do anything about it.'' And it's just SAD that what they say it's true. Because no matter how many people say it things didn't very much changed, maybe a few laws. But the biggest problems still are HERE! How this world is unfair that who is more value has to mostly be the people who are rich, which isn't fair at all.
