this video show how to change bmw x3 e83 fuel filter that your filter filter is inside the fuel tank. when you having a clogged fuel filter it may cause your engine fuel efficiency drop, maybe cause to misfire too.
This was the most frustrating thing i’ve ever done to a car lol. Well, okay, maybe not. I own 2 german cars so basically every repair is frustrating🤦🏼♂️😅
by the way that hammer method of getting the retaining nut off will NOT work for everyone. I would just get the special tool before you even start this job -__-
so as we can see from the owner of the video struggling it would be a little smarter to make sure your car is like almost empty of fuel when doing this procedure
Excellent video! I did this 11 years and 80,000 miles ago. I remember it was tight and had to keep the area well ventilated because of the fumes. Now I’m getting ready to do it again this weekend.
Great video, my X3 filter regulator was very clogged and dark. It would crank long before starting and hesitate to accelerate and also STALL on deep curve exits. Let's see if all the fuel system parts I changed will also benefit from this new fuel regulator
I had the same issue as you described in my 08 X3. Eventually, it won't start at all in the cold morning. I replaced both fuel pump and filter plus the pump module. Problem still persist. Finally, the SPARK PLUG was the culprit. Now start right up first time and no more intermittent hesitation on acceleration. So, before you replace the fuel system, do fuel pressure check first, 72 psi is the ideal reading. I learnt the hard way 😁
@@martinraltenormal maintenance when u hit 60 k .if u forget to change it u will probably get a check engine light code. P171 p174 engine running lean in both banks along with the same symptoms u have described.

Great video, I do see that you put the metal aluminum clip (on one of the wire end connection) in the wrong direction. It should not really matter though as long as it is clipped tight. Cheers!
Great video and very appreciated. If the owner of the video or anyone in the comment section can help me out with a question it would be appreciated. Can you tell me where does the hose to the pressure regulator is?It got pulled off and don't know where it goes to.
