Where my fishing career began, Eaglenest Lodge! It felt SO good to be back. It's been over 10 years since I last visited Eaglenest Lodge on the Winnipeg River where my guiding career began. So thankful I was able to show Sam this place that is so special to me. What a great few days we had fishing for Walleye and Pike! Thanks for watching!

I used to think there was nothing better than a day out in nature catching fish. Then I met my wife who loves to be out there with me and sometimes catching better than me. You're very blessed to have a wife that enjoys life with you doing what you love to do. I call that "harmony" seeing everything we love comes together for a greater experience.

So glad I came across this video! You were guide for my father and I when I caught my last Master Angler Pike at Eagles Nest back in 2012! Great to see the lodge shot so beautifully and great to see where life has taken you!

Okay, let's get this out of the way first. Genuinely, I feel for 15yr old Jay however, we all have moments like that (some more than others) that our Parents, Employers or Teachers assured us were "Character" building moments. That said, what a stunning place!! I had the great fortune to fish Lac Du Bonnet many, many, many (good Lord I'm old) years ago when I was in my early 20's. Had an amazing trip and caught and froze, ate and released more Walleye than I care to count. At the same time that trip was the first time I experienced and fell in love with the Canadian Shield and it's stunning lakes and gorgeous woodlands. To this day, if I can ever manage to stop working I'd like to retire to a small-ish cabin on a hard bottomed lake surrounded by great hunting woods. The Canadian Dream!! Keep those videos coming Jay & Sam (and crew) you have the best looking videos on RU-vid and I've recommended your channel to several people now. The fact you have a mere 44.4K subscribers is absolutely criminal, as far as I'm concerned!! Take care guys!!
