Lucas started raising butterflies when he was 2 years old. It started when our neighbor gave us little milkweed plant seedlings. We planted them in a planter and put it by a bright pink rose bush. A few weeks later we saw eggs and little caterpillars! The first year we raised butterflies in 2020 and released 7 monarchs. Each year after we have increased that number to last season in 2023 to 96 monarchs!
