Thank you, LeToya! This tour comes a week late, as I had my first visit to Houston on last week. My girl wanted to dine at that Turkey Leg Hutt for her birthday, so we came to your city for that. I liked Houston and plan to return for a longer visit. Edit: Oh wow. I forgot. We ate at the Cajun Seafood City. The corn-on-the-cob was literally 🔥. I wish we had known about the Breakfast Klub and Bums Bar-B-Q. We were looking for a Bar-B-Q spot. Next time!

Dang Toya!! you're making me miss home can't wait to move back just for the food but my favorite places to eat is Pappas BBQ, Frenchies, Timmy Chans, and Whataburger any time I come home. I also love getting ice cream at Red Circle on Bissonnet its a Thai ice cream shop with Churros.And I think you should do a record with your brother we need some new music in these streets.

YAAAAASSSSS!!!! Loved this. I moved here 4 years ago and it was the best decision ever! Sometimes I pretend like I was born and raised here. 🤣 I love Breakfast Klub too, but I also have Lucille’s and Davis Street in my breakfast/brunch rotation. Also, the food truck parks-Hibachi Bros at the Almeda food truck spot (near Turkey Leg Hut) - and Clutch City Cluckers at the Galleria food truck spot. Mico’s Hot Chicken too. Elmers Bits and Pieces. I’ll stop there. And My grits have to have salt and pepper and get mixed in my eggs.

She so down to earth! Love her! I've been through Houston on business but never just to visit. Me and my Mom took a road trip from Bham to Houston for me to get my passport renewed and we walked around downtown to get a bite to eat at a Taco Stand , cant remember the name. We also took a picture at Houston sign, my Mom was so excited, she and my Dad don't get out much because of his back issues so her riding with me allowed her a nice short getaway. And no sugar on grits, cream of wheat yes, but grits, cheese, butter, salt and pepper.

Hey Letoya👋🏾 I absolutely love your channel! The growth of this channel has been so amazing to watch, I subscribed from the very beginning. I am from Tyler, Tx and I have been to Houston but it has been well over 15 years or so and I keep telling myself I needed to go back just to see the growth of the city and what's new. Now for the grits I think it depends on how you're going to eat them . If you're having them with breakfast then I do the sugar and butter! But if you're having them for lunch or dinner then absolutely no sugar, just salt, pepper, and/or butter. Btw those meals looked delicious. Thank you for this tour and letting us in on your humble beginnings!!

I was born and raised in Louisville KY and we ate them for breakfast with sugar and butter BUT I had a friend whose mom was from FL and she would fry fish and make them with butter, salt,pepper, and cheese. Both are 🔥🔥🔥

I never understood putting sugar in grits. I'm like you Toya- I need butter, cheese, and some seasoning salt. I moved from Houston a few years ago to Dallas. I miss some of the places I'd eat at times but never saw myself staying there for life.

My mom is from Louisville KY, I was born in fort knox, I grew up eating sugar n butter on my grits, I never knew people put salt n pepper on their grits til well into my 20s lol

At this point a reality tv show on VH1 or E would be incredible. I’d love to see her positive energy and great spirit on the screen again.
