Nah I don't know how many are still around but there used to be programs that let you get an actual high school diploma. It's how my big sister got hers. Those programs were all over in my area and in Detroit when I got outta high school though. Found that out the hard way

I agree with you. I was abandoned by my parents at age 14. I had to lie about my age to get a job so I could support myself. I tried to continue in school but I was just too tired to attend school and do homework while working every night. By the age of 28, I had my first kid at 19 and second kid by 26. By the age of 28, I was making six figures. Part luck and part determination to not fail. I didn't get my GED until I was in my 40's, I wanted to change careers and get a degree in computer science. It was very easy to get a GED. It is not something, anyone should brag about.
She does not drive trains. A CDL is not for driving trains. From the way that lady is expressing herself and the things she is saying; she will not even come close to being a "train driver" as she says. If she was, she would know what the correct title of a "train driver" is because that's not it.......... they are called; train operators, locomotive operators, locomotive drivers, locomotive engineers, motorman, locomotive handler, engine driver, engineman, and a few other titles they have. They have to be extremely smart and take tests that train operators require. Must have a high level of stamina, be physically very fit, have extremely great knowledge of mechanics. Have sharp vision, excellent hearing and good hand-eye coordination. She does not possess any of the things that are required. It takes a special kind of person to be a train operator. She made herself look very bad by saying that mess.
Mothers please train your daughter and give them the lecture of " the birds and bee" when the time is right. Too many people are just existing but not living right, its obvious someone has created a "deadbeat dad" like many people do without the dad's knowledge.
