You missed out an the PERFECT chance to explain to your viewers how the chimes work in the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben). Allow me. The chime consist of four notes (and two patterns). First four note (1st pattern) tells you it's quarter past. Eight notes (1st and 2nd pattern) means it's half past. Twelve notes (1st, 2nd and repeat 1st) is quarter to the hour.....this is what we heard in your video. Sixteen notes (1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd) and the bongs will tell you it's on the hour and the number of bongs tells you what o'clock it is. It's those little details which fascinates the tourists. I'm a Brit who used to live in London. I'm pretty sure not every Brit outside London knows about the way the chimes work. 😊

The Blues and Royal's are definitely the most impressive looking guards at HorseGuards, i think their colours suit the background more & also because they show the Red, White & Blue of the Union Jack.... Maybe they had to remove the cloak's because they got so wet as they came in, also with so much rain running off the cloak's soaks the horses... Maybe we'll learn more as the morning goes on 🇬🇧❤️😘😘

How disrespectful these tourists are. And I disagree with Guards allowing some to touch the horse. That's going to be seen by all and EVERY tourist will just ignore the rules. If rules are set down. All Guards need to protect the Kings Guards Horses. Not pick and choose who can come into the box. Why are they allowing this?

I understand it gives mixed messages but i think you are correct it is up to the Trooper as he/she knows the characteristic of the Horse to tell the public to keep the other side of the line.

I saw ormond not too long ago in a parade going thru down town, on you tube, he was magnificent as ever. I just don’t think he’s ideal for being so close to the public in the horse guard environment.

This is showing that the majority of tourists are standing further away from the horses and the horses are definitely more chilled as a result of not being mauled or having people standing too close. However, the crowds are still nowhere near what they are in peak season and that will be the real "test" of the effectiveness of the lines and the signs. Here's hoping the trend to give space to the horses continues.

I hope the Guards are speaking up to tourists who get over the white lines. And not allow them to grab and maul the horses like yesterday. THAT was ridiculous. Guards were allowing this. Not saying anything.

If they allow people to cross the line, it sends the wrong message as they should be telling them to get behind the line! 😮 I would love to see someone standing in front of the trooper with a sign saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Tell them to get on the right side of the line!"
