On which social media platforms are you currently sharing your wildlife content? What do you like (or not like) about them? Let's discuss! 👇

Hello chiara, I liked your video it gave a very good explanation of each platform and how they can be useful, I personally just post my amateur photography (mostly pictures with a few videos) on Instagram and twitter as these are the platforms that reach like minded amateurs who just want to share what they have seen and photographed mostly birders. I am not really interested in gaining followers I just like sharing 😀👍

Hi Kevin! thanks so much for sharing. How are you finding Twitter? that's really a platform I can't figure out! 🙄

I enjoyed the video Chiara! Interesting topic! I still use Instagram heavily. I primarily do that because I don't have the energy to build up the same following on other, newer platforms. Things change so rapidly in social media and today Instagram isn't in as bad of a shape as it was a year ago for example. While Instagram could really do with some improvement on allowing different aspect ratios for images, I feel it still works. There are also some workarounds such as splitting up images into a carousel.

I use FB and IG. Being this is just a hobby for me, not too worried about the likes or follows and such. Too many fall into that trap and they get discouraged. Read it all the time. Have fun take image you like and if someone else likes it…kewl, if not…kewl. Lol

Good topic and nice explanation of each platform. Still a bit of a crap shoot on which is the best platform. I have used flickr, but it has gotten too expensive for the Pro level, so I limit my use to Facebook and Instagram.

Hi Paul, I think there is really not a best platform as everything has some pros and cons. And it really depends on what you are looking for. I also tried Flickr for a while with the Pro subscription too. I appreciated the high resolution quality but I was really missing more genuine and honest interaction there. So I stopped using it after a few months!

I never really fully liked and understood Twitter although I have used it before getting into wildlife photography. I heard some photographers enjoy it though!

I use Instagram at the moment and I'm not sure if I'll use another platform in the future. I want to work up to doing stories and reels for Instagrams. I just post my photography currently.

Stories are very important since those are the best place to create more meaningful connection with people! Reels are lots of fun 😊
