After watching the Packers last you're utilizing so many different receivers I came to the conclusion that not having a number one receiver is actually an advantage. The defense won't know who to focus on.
@g.d.graham2446
@g.d.graham2446 12 дней назад
While I personally think Watson can be a #1 (mainly because of how he can stretch the defense and open things up for other WRs), your point is one I've come to accept as well. I mean, all during the pregame show against the Cowboys, it was "Well, they have Cedee Lamb, so they should easily win this one!" and well...we Packers fan all saw how that went xD

I agree, every game I’m pretty sure that every game had a new leading receiver in each game for the Packers the defenses the Packers played didn’t know which receiver to put their best corner on.
@ihcterra4625
@ihcterra4625 2 дня назад
I’d call that the Sterling Sharpe effect. When Sharpe got injured, the Packers got better. Without having 1 guy to focus on, the defenses had to focus on more threats. Having a receiver get a ton of targets just means you don’t have enough weapons to spread the ball around. The Packers best offense was 2011 when they had Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson and Cobb at WR. With Finley, Quarless and Crabtree at TE and Starks, Green and Grant at RB. Not to mention John Kuhn at FB. Everyone was a target. The leading receiver was different from week to week.

I don’t agree with the receiver rankings because the Packers have so much potential in their receivers. They all did so well at such a young age.

@brandonbaty2291

“Imagine” it?? That’s literally 90% of the year in sports. All offseason is spent grading college players before they play. Every NFL team does it to decide who they draft ffs. Its a valid conversation. Imagine thinking that either A) you cant talk about a player until they actually play OR (more likely) B) you happen to overvalue their perceived potential before they ever play an NFL snap so since it doesnt fit your own narrative, its wrong.

Too many times, I’ve seen fandom lead to bias when it comes to rankings … even in my teams’ community. As a Lions fan, I respect the list and approach. Salute! Early last season, I would comment that it pissed me off that GB never really had to go into a rebuild after losing Rodgers; that if their offense were to catch up to their defense they’d be a problem, and lo and behold, by the end of the year, it happened.

@michaelhorstman2603
@michaelhorstman2603 12 дней назад
To me it’s too early yet to determine what Love is. Sure he showed a lot of potential towards the last half. But that’s all it is as of yet, potential. Can’t even really judge by the Dallas game as they always seem to collapse in the playoffs. Now there’s some tape on Love and defenses will be ready for them and Love. Detroit’s defense got much better this past offseason as well with DJ Reader which will make their D line much more potent as he commands a double team and means Hutch won’t be doubled and triple teamed. Reader will also make the corners better as the receivers won’t have as much time to get open and Detroit also got much better at cb and already had a top run stopping D.

NFC North is absolutely stacked. Lions are number one with a roster that’s ready to win a Super Bowl. Packers are number 2 with a roster that’s really good but still “re tooling” at some positions. Bears are 3, with a really talented roster that’s just missing consistency with a rookie QB. Vikings are 4, they have a lot of talent but have some holes to fill and some consistency issues as well. I think the NFC North is a division full of teams no other teams want to see on their schedule.

So I’m going to make the case that the difference between the packers o line and the lions o line is not that great. So as a run blocking line the lions definitely get the edge. They’re 1-2 in the league with the Philadelphia eagles run blocking wise (and with kelce retiring the lions may be #1. But if u look at the stats, Green Bay was actually the better pass blocking team. And that was with a 7th rd pick stepping in at LT all year and a passable JRJ at RG. I think arguably green bay has upgraded now with Morgan at LT. So yes with all things equal, the lions advantage at run blocking makes them the better line. But with the pass game certainly being more important in todays nfl, I think u can argue that it’s a pretty small gap overall
@justinwayne61
@justinwayne61 12 дней назад
Goff is a pocket passer, plus goff has 27 more pass Attempts then love. And love can run so he can avoid the sack better. Lions are 2nd in the league, with the most 20-plus yards plays in the NFL. Lions line is the better pass blocker.

Also on receivers, I think Green Bay’s receiving corps is better. Especially if u r counting Laporta as a TE and not just pass catchers together. And even if u do count all pass catchers together it’s not like Musgrave and Kraft r chopped liver. If u add their stats together, they aren’t that far behind Laporta on significantly fewer targets.
