I just found a portable tape deck about the size of a pack of cigarettes with corroded batteries in it. I was about to throw it out, but decided to try and clean it up and see if it worked. It did, so I'm gonna try and listen to some old cassettes. The sound quality is pretty poor, but. . .
Here's Maggie and me doing an Ola Belle Reed tune that we learned from a Cathy Fink LP. I'm playing clawhammer banjo.
The picture on the laptop was taken at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival in the late eighties or early nineties, about the same time as the tape was made. Still some colour in my beard and a lot more hair on top of my head.

Thanks Lynda. Unfortunately, the banjo is so distorted that it doesn't sound like a banjo.

I have watched this when you shared it with me the other time. My comment is gone because I had deleted my channel. So i want to comment from this channel. (I will try not do any weird deleting again).I LOVE this. Sounds so good. I actually love the sound quality! When I move to my new place, I will buy a banjo, if not, I know there will be a great banjo uke waiting for me. :---)
