I never comment on videos but as someone who is building their first gaming pc and trying to learn, your videos have been so instrumental. When looking for reviews on parts or potential problems with said parts and cases, it’s your content that I get the answers and recommendations from and trust. Literally pick a component I like and search it on RU-vid, there you are. Please keep the amazing content coming!
All those pc built videos out there in which they say we will go through every detail but they miss a lot. This video was very helpful for me as a first time. Thanks a lot
God this was so useful. I just want to know where everything goes… Here you are telling me. Amazing how many how to “build” videos are skipping so many little steps and questions and assuming the viewer will just figure it out. All of this is helping me get closer to completing the build. You’re making my life easier.
I really wanted to thank you for having such great videos! I haven't build a PC in quite some time so this video and many others were great refreshers or great introductions to new stuff(like nvmes). I appreciate that your videos are just full of info without any extra fluff like lots of other channels have. Keep up the great work!
I'm building my first PC and it's definitely on the higher end of builds but these videos explaining where things go is beyond helpful. Much easier than reading the manuals that came with my parts. Thank you for the quality video and assistance!
My Asus ROG Strix X570 motherboard had the front panel connectors as single connectors and I knew I was installing them right but I swear I quadruple checked while doing. Glad new ones have them together. Love the informative content!
Thanks mate. It's been a minute since I built a PC and this was the part I was dreading the most, parts are on route today so this was absolutely perfect timing.
I’ve owned a gaming PC for years, but now that I’m switching cases as I’ve realised how bad the airflow of the original case was, I was super nervous about the cabling. This guide has made me a lot more confident as it’s actually a lot simpler than it seems. Thank you very much!
This is a really helpful video, I'm currently getting all the components i need for my PC and i've been dreading figuring out how to do all the cabling lol Thank you for sharing!
great video, very clear and kept the jargon and acronyms to a minimum, I am building my first PC and was really confused by the power cables, you cleared it all up for me.
I’ve completely disassembled my PC to A) learn how it all connects, B) what powers what, and C) what to plug in and where so that when I hook up my new power supply, it all works. I will use this video; it’s already taught me so much more than just looking at the connections and labels. Thank you!
Been looking at ur vids for the last few weeks because im building my first pc , just waiting on my 4080, they have been really helpful to a complete noob like me, thx for posting 👍
Literally perfect video and timing on the upload! I just started my build yesterday and got all the parts installed and just need to get everything plugged in and decided to take a break over night. Just was about to get started and saw you uploaded this. Thank you!!
Very useful. For new builders don't make the mistake I did and make sure your motherboard comes with a USB-C or else you will have to buy a PCIE adapter.
@@gum3308 If you can return it and get a new motherboard, that is better. PCIE works, but in my case, I had to wait 1 month to get my motherboard. That's why I couldn't replace it; the only option was that.
I usually don’t say much bro. But honestly our explanation on these topics is awesome! I’m building a Icue link build and your videos have helped me a ton! Fellow cyber security guy saying thanks! 🙏
This video was a lifesaver! I plugged everything in except for the usb-c cable. I never saw this one before and was bamboozled as i didn't find a connection on the motherboard. Turns out my motherboard is to old and doesn't have a usb-c connection port. So much panic for nothing, i guess my usb-c port just won't be working :)
Thank you so much! Today first time I built my own high end pc completely by myself. This has been of such great help, you're a life saver! ❤️ now I can finally get back to streaming! Yayyyy 🎉🎉 thanks again!
Cheaper cases I use for building for friends/family have separate cables for all the front panel connections so first time assemblers may well struggle. Also, I always include a speaker in my builds as this will alert you to problems and is a user confidence booster. You should also explain about the chassis intrusion headers which for 99.9% of people can just be ignored.
@@taytayaxolatte I suspect it may be used in corporate buildings to stop people fiddling with their PC and to alert management that there may be some data theft going on .... someone could remove a hrd drive for instance.
You know for all of the hype from big channel;s about this is the best new PC building guide or hey watch us build a new PC beginners version, I am so thankful I found this channel, I am not a first time builder but I haven't built a new pc in years and unfortunately I am also the proud owner of a brain that second guesses every action I take and deals with it by creating mass amount of anxiety and stress for myself. Therefore, it also leads to a pretty big procrastination problem. I wait to do or finish projects due to second guessing myself and the anxiety that creates, yeah I know, a self created vicious cycle, can you say therapy, lol....proud to say I'm working through it, but I digress. Your video is the first one i have actually found that describes the thing i freak-out about the most the little, simple things, the oh I should know this, things...and it has helped so much! I am not an idiot but I sincerely do second guess every move, especially if I am not versed in what I am trying to accomplish. You helped me avoid a lot of anxiety, so thank you. I am now a proud sub of the Provoked Prawn, and gladly so! Thank you, again!!
Thanks for confirming the usb-c header is bidirectional. The manual for my mobo says: "The connector has a foolproof design. When you connect the cable, be sure to connect it with the corresponding orientation." It’s foolproof! Make sure to plug it in the right way. >_
Just want to make sure, does your motherboard come with these usb header adapters at 2:48, because im going to build my first pc soon and on my pc part picker it says "A USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 header adapter is required." AND " A USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 3.2 Gen 2 header adapter is required." Thanks
The set of front case pins on my motherboard were labeled as (JFP1). I had a hard time finding out where to plug in all of my front case power switches, but I was able to download the manual for my motherboard and it had a diagram of how to plug in the front case connections using the JFP1 header. 1st time builder but im going all out regardless. Ended up going with an MSI z790 Carbon Wifi Motherboard, i7 13700k, MSI 4090 Gaming X Trio 24Gb, Arctic Freezer ii 420 AIO, 9 additional QL120 Corsair fans, and 32gb corsair dominator. I've had all my parts for a week and still got a long way to go before it's up and running but it has been worth the experience. Had a few setbacks but overall it's been OK. Just found out that my Atx Cpu psu cables aren't long enough to reach the motherboard, now I have to wait yet another day to continue the build. Anywho, thanks for the video.
Great video! Really well visualized. Your awsome 👍 But I have a question about CPU power connectors. My motherboard have 8pin + 4pin CPU power connector. The user manual says I can connect only the 8pin or 8pin + 4pin connector. In what instances you only want to plug in the 8pin and not both of the CPU power connectors. Is this something you need to take into account what CPU you are using or what ? My motherboard is ASUS Strix B650E-F. Cheers and thanks!
Is it normal that text “cpu” cable in the motherboard socket and without text in power supply socket? Like because that sockets perfectly fit in their places
I bought a watercooler but myu motherboard doesn't have a dedicated aio_pump connector, should I just plug it into a cpu_fan connector or straight to the psu somehow?
When your taking your pc appart to swap motherboard and cpu how long do you need to wait after turning of the power supply and taking the power of to take everything appart
Can i plug in my Pc into a power surge protector strip? Im asking this because I noticed that whenever I plug in a dryer and a iron into the power surge it turns off. Im wondering if it will do the same if i plug in my Pc and monitor. I know what im asking is stupid, but i just want to make sure. Thanks
I have a NZXT B650e, and trying to figure out where to plug in Corsair xt. From what I’ve read they require 12v usb but I don’t know if this board has them. Any idea where I would plug up to?
the video was great my question is that i have a cabinet with type c cable but my motherboard does not have a type c port what can be done in this case? is there a connector available to connect
So my 13 yr old grandson decided he wanted to clean the gaming pc I bought for him , I guess he thought he was smart enough to do it because he watches a lot of PC videos , well what he didn’t account for was that some of the wire connectors wouldn’t have the writing on them to tell him where everything goes , now I’ve got a $700 gaming pc I can’t put back together. And I don’t know where to take it to have it put back together. I’m kinda upset about this , but I guess this will teach him a lesson and until I can figure it out , he’s without his games. So it’s working out for at least that reason. Although this video is helpful to those that have the writing on their connections , it’s not doing me one bit of good. I’m aggravated asf. It’s an older PC but it still worked great. I even played Starfield on it , it may have stuttered here and there but not enough to bother anything. UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
There are a few PC cases that I've see that have a PSU included. I would be weary of those PSUs as they are typically of low quality. I wouldn't risk my PC by cheaping out on a power supply.
stupid question, but assuming we are using a modular power supply, and we don't have any peripheries such as RGB or the like, does that mean the sata cable is unnecessary?
