I never had a lobster roll before, always want to try, so when I saw this channel I was like, word, I can watch and find out where to try a lobster roll and a good roast beef sandwhich. Let’s go!!!!!!
Great review Michael! I am a local and a Maine Lobstah roll expert, meaning I was getting lunch/dinner at Belle Isle Seafood back in the early 80's, when it was just a fish market shack that had a fryer . On to my next thing: I need to make a correction. There is NO SUCH THING as a "Connecticut style" lobster roll. Why? Hot or cold, it's still a Maine Lobstah roll. Connecticut has NOTHING to do with it. Someone thought it would be "cool" to say it's a "Connecticut style". NOPE. When you get a steamed 1 lb lobster at Legal Sea Food, do they list it as "Connecticut style" because they heated it up and offered melted clarified butter with it? No they do NOT. My final points, I do agree with you on the brioche roll and getting it without lettuce or if you want it, say lettuce on the side. Your review just popped up on my feed. I'll have to check out some of your other stuff.
Did that approx 20 years ago visiting with wife’s aunt and uncle. Got into discussion with nephew about the shrimp. He lost when he came up north and ate NE shrimp
Being born in 1935 was the best time to grow up in the 1940's, 50's and 60's to buy and eat seafood 7 days a week if you so desired. We had lots and lots of seafood markets and restaurants where you could get a fried haddock plate for $2 to 3 dollars and boiled LOBSTERS for $1.50 to $2 dollars. So in my mind I can't pay $20 or $30 for a lobster roll. I'm all done with seafood, even though I still love to sit in a nice restaurant and eat fried whole clams, scallops lobster, Haddock plate and steamed clams too.
I agree. They should extra butter toast each bun not grill em' I would ove love an extra butterred warm frshly toasted bun then filled with all this gorgeous lobster meat with a bag of chip and a combo of fries/onion pings and pickles for the price
@@jimcole2648 stop lying about prices dude. People like you try and make others feel worse by claiming to have gotten better deals, see a shrink for your mental issues
I'm glad I went when lobster rolls were $12 and I could stay downtown at the Berkeley old YWCA for cheap. Can't afford Boston anymore. And no. A Brioche bun has no place on a lobster roll
This EB kid has been eating there for years. Was served a very overcooked fisherman platter 2 years ago, threw the entire dish in the trash and have not been back. Very disappointed
