Pain au Chocolat for 5 or 6 € is criminal! 1,60 € is most you should ever pay and the lower cost ones are the best. Mamiche is close to my apartment and their quality is superb, but the price is 1,60 €, not 3,20 €.
J'adore cette vidéo! Loved and enjoyed this tour for the best Parisian Pain Au Chocolat avec Jeanne Ducourau. A beautiful young lady, she reminds me actress Sophie Marceau when she was young, so natural and effortlessly chic. Merci beaucoup, PV ❤
Thanks Jeanne for taking us around Paris for delicious pain au chocolat! Currently on a healthy eating fast for the month of January and cannot eat any sugars, pastries, breads, cakes, pasta or fried foods. So watching this video brought me some visual comfort. 😆 My mouth was watering for a bite of the pain au chocolat! Cannot wait for the day I go to Paris to eat the best pastries there! 🥐☕️🥖
such a lovely video and fun host! I guessed from Jeanne Ducourau's face which one she would love and was not disappointed with the result! 🥰 happy new year!
elle est trop mignonne avec la frange et le gros accessoire cheveux 🎀🖤 j’ai adoré cette vidéo 😊 et tous les pains au chocolat ont l’air très bons. j’en veux un maintenant ahah
i love Jeannne and her humor/wit i also love how you guys filmed this episode and edited it - your teams’ humor came through the editing and it made me giggle
I miss Paris so much - thank you for sharing ( I am wondering if Cedric does not have a second location in Bastille ....which was close to my house when I lived there ) in any case I love the people of Paris , the architecture , the museums , and your channel
Heading for Paris and Marseille each for a week starting Feb 3rd. I've mapped out morning visits to many GREAT Paris Boulangerie and will now add Mamiche. Agree that Cédric Grolet is the most beautiful, a work of Art for sure! Having a harder time finding good Boulangeries in Marseille, but I'm sure they are on ever corner. Any suggestions?
My fav one is on the 11th. It's called Boulangerie MieMie ! Charming one with so many sorts of bread! (Halla, Danish Rye bread etc.) and pastries as well! French also go crazy for boulangeries like "French Bastards" but also "Tranché" and "Pépite" especially because they've got decadent and "gourmande" pastries ! I think these four are already a good start and no scams at all !
Are they eaten warm or just as they are? Asking as I tried my first one yesterday in Sydney (they called it Chocolate Croissant) and they microwaved it before serving. I was shocked, but wondered if the chocolate was supposed to be melted for serving? I buy croissants near my home from a Vietnamese bakery and just get them from the shelf and eat them - beautiful. But never tried a pain au chocolate
I didn’t enjoy the mamiche’s one. It was little bit dry for my taste and there wasn’t enough chocolate inside. But I will retry it as she recommended it. :)
Actually what she said about in order to have the name boulangerie every product must be made on site is false. The only thing that has to be made on site is the bread. Most viennoiserie like pain or chocolat or croissant are frozen industrial ones only cooked on site but not made there. To be sure to have real viennoiserie made on site you have to find the logo " Boulanger de France" or "100% fait maison"
I LOVE THIS SERIES! BUT PLEASE… consider asking the French guests speak French! We are all here for the French vibe, AND the French native speakers will be A LOT MORE expressive when they speak their native tongue❤
le chocolat au centre non !!!!! arretezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz mdr le mamiche a l air bon mais jusqu a aujourdhui le meilleur etait a Sault (84) MAIS un excellent chez Thevenin (6eme arr de paris)
Thanks Jeanne. I'm headed to Paris in a couple of weeks. I might want to try all of them too. The 3rd place you featured is right next door to a restaurant someone had recommended , Au Petit Fer à Cheval. Incidentally the graphic for Mamiche has the same address as Boulangerie de Rennes.
