This Video is for the most part on Point about Burbank. I have lived there just north of Glen Oaks as a Child , Had a Apartment in my 20s down in the flats, and spent a lot of time there enjoying the night life and other amenities. Far and away my favorite part of Burbank was the Verdugo Mountains. I Spent a lot of time hiking and riding a Mountain Bike up and down that Mountain and along the top. Burbank was always more Expensive than surrounding areas even back in the 80s and 90s but worth every penny. If you can afford it Burbank is the Best City in La County IMHO. I have also lived In La Crescenta and Worked and Went to Pasadena Collage and determined that Burbank is about as Good as it Gets.

I've lived in Burbank for over 5 years and I love it. And everything he said is true and on point about the city. For me personally as someone who is shopping for a home right now, the downside to Burbank is it's completely full when it comes to land. Which means there's not much / no more space to build any new homes or apartments, unless a builder tears one down. I much prefer a brand new property or an older property that's been completely remodeled. But As far as seeing brand new properties Burbank is not like Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, and Tarzana where there's so much new development coming up. Everything seems to be set the way it is without any change.

You forgot to mention that Burbank is a city on it's own, not part of the City of Los Angeles. Burbank has its own Police, Fire, Parks and Rec, Power and Water and Burbank Unified School district. The lower priced neighbors are part of the City of Los Angeles using LAPD, LA Schools and LAFD. In Burbank if you call the police they are out in a few minuets. Burbank also has the Rancho District that is equestrian zones if you want horses in your back yard. I grew up in Burbank on the hill in the 60's I moved away but ended up moving back to Burbank in Magnolia Park. It is a nice city to live in, cleaner and safer then most of the surrounding areas.

lived in the city of Burbank from the the mid 80s to early 90s when it was still affordable to rent a decent place. Moved to N.Hollywood rent is still affordable, but of course, depending where you want live like N.Ho District rent will be higher. Now with inflammation,up to the roof on everything, you you'll need to earn really good money to be live the city Burbank.

It’s super informative video, probably the best ones out there. Thanks for that! Material about North Hollywood or Glendale would be great as well.

I lived in Burbank for about 11 years. It was a very pleasant city considering it is so close to LA. The cost of living drove me out 20 years ago. The weather and the small unpretentious ethnic restaurants I miss, but paying less for a house in my new state than I paid for a tiny apartment there is worth it.

Thanks for input! Most people I meet move to Burbank because of distance to work. If you had to live near Burbank which more affordable neighborhoods would you recommend?

@@livinginpasadena I haven't checked into pricing much, but from what I can tell, there is practically no safe, clean area affordable to me in Southern California now since I don't want to deal with roommates. For people who don't mind them I would still recommend Burbank if their job is close by. In the state I live in now, I have a 2000 sq. foot house I'm paying for myself, although things have increased quite a bit since I bought it. I'm not sure I could afford to buy it now.

what's the best place for a young new grad to live in burbank? i'd love somewhere safe but have lots going on comparable to LA, and also scenic and clean!
@livinginpasadena
@livinginpasadena Год назад
Good question! It depends on your income and living situation! There aren’t any unsafe areas in Burbank and the city isn’t that big to drive around but if you’re new grad on a entry level salary you’re going to be paying premium for a 1bd apartment. You’re also going to be competing against dual income husband and wife for that same 1bd. If you have friends you can save $$$ by teaming up and renting a 3bd house near the airport. If you have more questions you can book an appointment with me through the description!

What is a 'multi-family" home? And how does that compare to a "single-family" home? I'm from England, considering moving to the LA area and don't understand this terminology. Thanks.
@livinginpasadena
@livinginpasadena 2 года назад
Multi family here means the building is split up into multiple units but they can’t be individually sold. There can only be 1 owner. Condominiums and townhomes are units located within complex and each unit can be individually owned by different owners. Hope this helps!

If you can't tell I want to me a key animator, it's the only city that has jobs for me my current town is dead it's know for hotels thats..it Am looking for something close to Cartoon Network HQ, Am not sure in rent a $800 a month or a small safe house for a single person. If I can't find anything then I can just live in my car in CN studio at list I be working non stop so I don't need a place to sleep.
@livinginpasadena

I would get pre-approval now! We are already starting to seeing mass price reductions! Just make sure you’re comfortable with monthly payments though, interest rates around 6% now!
