For this exercise, we realize what is called in french a "calepinage"... which is basically “defining your tile layout on the floor”. You often hear me talking about it in my videos. In tiling, this is the pre-installation step that involves anticipating the layout of your tiles. Contrary to what one might think, this does not stop at predicting the location or the amount of cuts to be made (although this is part of the exercise).
The most important thing in this stage is to be able to imagine the overall vision of the room to be tiled once the room is finished. This includes imagining the future furniture layout of your room based on its layout.
In this case, there are two large windows in the room. They bring a lot of light. In a configuration such as this one, I always suggest to position the creepage distances towards the sources of natural light. In front of windows, it gives a very deep and very pleasant perspective. This way of laying will be all the more appropriate as the room is longer than wide when entering inside.
