Note that with Waystones you gain access to warp plates. Which means only 1 person actually needs to mod to setup a teleportation network. Also can be used to move items long distance that are dropped on the plates.

Personally I'm starting with Simple Storage Networks first because with pouches and shulkers you can manage most if not all the loot you get early game till you get enough knowledge for your first pouch. Having everything in one location makes it SO much easier.

I wouldn't have thought to take botany pots now (because I've already some vanilla farms built). But the fact that you can farm coral, nether wart and wither roses with, makes it much more interesting.

Simple storage + drawers is amazing. Using filtered link cables, we can pipe items anywhere (set a priority, optionally with a whitelist filter). Here's my setup: - Priority 0 (default): An array of chests for simple storage, the usual stuff. - Priority -10: Drawer controller. Having a low priority makes items fill in drawers first, to not clutter regular chests. - Priority -5: Automated processes. Like a carrot farm will store carrots in drawers in priority. Once that drawer is full, a specific filtered link cable can pull carrots into a composter setup to output bonemeal (same with all crops really, you only have to add items to the filtered link cable whitelist). Another cool process is a tree farm, storing apples/sticks/logs. The overflow of logs can be piped to furnaces for charcoal, charcoal can be piped into auto-smelters fuel. (apple overflow can be composted, sticks can be discarded). - Priority -15: This bypasses drawers so useful for smeltable ores, piped to auto-smelter input. Ores never enter the storage, only the smelted stuff does. - Priority -4 to -1: Reserved for junk. Things that you do not want to enter the system, can be piped into a thrashcan (like bread/torches/scaffolding you loot in the vault, or excess bonemeal/charcoal you produce) - Priority +1 and up: This is the system overflow. Once your priority 0 chests are all full, this will start to fill in. Add a comparator with a lamp to signal you have to clean up space, upgrade drawers or add regular chests. With drawers, you can even add compacting drawers for vault coins, beni/lari, compressed blocks or whatnot. For compressed blocks, create can also be used with a mechanical press setup to take the overflow of say cobblestone, and output compressed cobblestone. There's like 656 recipes for the mechanical press "automated packing"...

Modular routers is hands down amazing! I used it for the first time this season after seeing it at the gold farm featured in one of your other videos (that Fuzzy made).

I think my first choice is pouches... with the intregated sorting chest of VH is waaay easier to keep your inventory more or less organised. You have to go chest by chest but it's fine at the early game

Also simple storage filter importers are cheap and work great with shullckers boxes and 1x stack and 3x speed upgrades. Empty box in about 30secs, as I fell modular routers is still a bit expensive before lvl 20

Modular routers are very confusing to me; I had them in VH2 but could never figure out how to get them to work correctly. Could you possibly do a more in-depth video about that mod in particular? Thank you, your videos have been so helpful to me this season!

I'm not gona lie, Vault hunters v18 looks okey... to watch... I don't enjoy Iskalls new videos but it is my personal preference (I loved his old single player VH). The only reason I didn't quit this modpack is because of you, I love your passion and engagement. Its super fun to watch your guides and way you analyze VH. I don't have tons of time on my hands but I preferred the previous version... In v16 I lowered the mobs difficulty to easy as I am garbage in MC combat and the Vault resources requirements to lowest as gathering TONS UPON TONS of resources was so extremely time consuming... it was killing me. I would love to play vault hunters but I just think Iksall is just making it Forcefully Way to long to accomplish anything. I admire his and his team work but I would rather see a compromise, Make a setting where you can choose if you want game speed to be fast (not increasing costs of mod unlocks, more resources to drop from vaults, each vault to have specific amount of enemy's like in example "The binging of Isaac" kill everything and loot till your heart content). I have 2 jobs and I'm playing other games with friends but the lack of available decision for me to play this amazing mudpack FASTER kills my will to play. I don't mean CHANGE the entire modpack but ADD an options for people to adjust ALL AND ANY SETTINGS for example "Mobs in rooms as they are now, option 2 = Specific amount of mobs in each Vault Room, Option 3 = Mob traps enabled Yes or No , Option 4 = Display amount of mobs in currently occupied room Yes or No" this way I would me able to increase the way I play Finally just a change I hate, the removal of ELFISH, was it OP? yes... was it fun? ABSOLUTELLY, am i bad at the game? yes, did it change THAT MUCH?? honestly it made the playthrough way more enjoyable. Rather than removing it and balancing the game without it keep it in and balance the content with it in mind. and for the compass in the vault... I just think that iskall got mad that people didn't play as he does... that's why he removed the waypoints from the vaults... it made the game just not enjoyable to run vaults and the waypoints didn't hurt anyone... as I say give players the option to adjust it making it more player friendly Best thing is the fact that we have option that allows is to keep our stuff when we die, i am bad at this game but imagine playing PAT OF EXILE, u use map and if you die you loose your items... I'm so glad we HAVE A CHOICE TO PLAY WITH THIS ON OR FOR THE HANDSOME CHADS TO PLAY WITHOUT IT. I am curious what do you thing of it Hellfire, what you LIKE and DISLIKE about VH? what would you keep from VHv16 or whaout would you like to see Removed from VHv18? Going to get botany pots and drawers now

I went pouches, SSN, vault compass, and then yesterday cagerium. I'm very excited to unlock modular routers because it's just so cool but I think I'm gonna go double pouches first because my loot management is pretty mediocre even with like 3 single pouches, plus I really want the refill upgrade and bigger stack upgrade. I'm a bit torn for my first big mod, though, because create is more fun and doesnt require power, but it doesnt generate things on its own as well as thermal. I think I'm gonna go create because the fan blowing can generate a lot of blocks and I like making contraptions with it, but things like the igneous extruder would be a game changer, not to mention unlocking thermal would allow me to unlock the phytogenic insulator which I am going to NEED. I watch iskall's vods so I kinda got the tips from there, but I'm also on singleplayer sky vaults so I was able to bypass much need for waystones. Maybe eventually I'll get waystones to cut out the like 30 seconds of travelling to my nether fortress, but my base is definitely gonna be mostly traversed using elevators when I get it hooked up, not waystones so that's like bottom priority

I got dark utilities first as it is very inexpensive to craft early items with vector plates being semi cheap but all the other plates are cheap except player damage plate. But non lethal damage plate with a zombie spawners farm is super fast and easy even if they are at y lvl -45. But my favorite is weakness plate and made a super easy zombie doctor farm and now eff 5, unbreak 3, mending all for 1 emerald, also 8 stick fletcher has 1 feather per emerald and a chicken pen OP. I'm also planning going into ispawners do to dark utilities being able to work amazing with it, very fast exp and item farms.... ispawners is really gated by vault lvl though, by my best case scenario on math is you kinda want to be running lvl 20+ vaults in order to get the carbon, opals, and also mystery eggs.

i would sugest simple storage as first. as that makes it alot easyer to keep track of your items. . also via simple storage . you can put a import pipe up. and just place the Pouch /shulker on top of that. and it sucks it into the storage. can even add filters in that one. so it wont take out puzzle blocks. after simple storage pouches. for faster looting. but do need a magnet for it to be sucked into the pouch. unless you drop it directly at your feat. wich it wont do if you just breack chests or Q items out. they land often close to chest and not at your feet for pouch to suckificate it in :) But yes . Third defo botany pots. super simple . can also give you Grimson and warped wood. to make more chests for the simple storage. ! but els. okay vid ! hehe

Dumb question, but how do you drop items out of a chest without dragging them out of the chest? Is it a specific key you hold while clicking?

Does the other die as well ? Could he come back inside the vault while im inside Because idk I told him that if he died i die aswell but that might have been a lie What do you think?

This modpack is so cool, and I can't stop watching vids about this.... but the pack is SO. FREAKING. GRINDY. That I just couldn't complete it myself.

Research is one of the most controversial parts of this version of VH imo; pouches are the only thing that are good for vaulting, and the rest is just a convenience for storage, farming, lag reduction. They reduce the functionality of so many of these mods that the utility is negligible for most of them.
