@@AmericanTravelFamily -- I live in Ecuador, and I've only just passed through Buenos Aires, but Argentina is a beautiful and really expansive country. It would take weeks to really get to know it, but obviously there's Buenos Aires (lots of food culture, architecture, ferry across Rio de la Plata to beautiful Montevideo (south coast of Uruguay)). But where I'd really like to go is Mendoza, which is at the foot of the Andres mountains in western Argentina. The geography is similar to Albuquerque or Denver, and it's like a blend of wine country and cowboy country. There are some pretty good youtubes showing horseback riding tours and wine tours near Mendoza, and the geography really looks breathtaking. I imagine it would be like South America's version of route 66 to drive from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, so I'm curious about the towns along the way. But overall Argentina's known for good wine and food, and spectacular geography :-) really appreciate your channel btw!
Wow! This is really great info! We love to travel and to places sometimes off the beaten path. We love the outdoors and adventure - so that all sounds great. Ecuador is peaking our interest lately as well, have you been to the Galapagos? How is that? Or is it super touristy?
@@AmericanTravelFamily - Ecuador is definitely worth the visit, and the Galapagos are amazing. It has to be somewhat controlled, just because most of the islands are protected wilderness, but I think there's a range of options (in terms of the cruise boats and snorkeling etc.), some more informal than others. The range of wildlife & geography there is honestly breathtaking. And if it fits into your plans, the Andes of Ecuador are also spectacular (imagine glaciers and snow at the Equator!), but it is important to hire an experienced guide when exploring the mountains.
No it doesn't and there are many steps to most of the rooms. If someone has mobility issues this will not the best option for them unless they rent one of the several houses near the top. The houses near the top have golf cart parking areas.
