I saw him in RWRB in the Lake and Kensington scenes and immediately thinking how could we, society, and Hollywood miss this talented actor? He's unforgettable as Henry
And now we have He-Man upcoming. Intriguing casting, and this is going to work and pay dividends. Downey Jr, Cumberbatch, Jackman and Reynolds prove that it takes the very best actors to make a credible leap into portraying superheroes, and with there being so little of He-Man to work from, this will be basically a total reinvent. With Galitzine's usual depth of input, and his remark about He-Man's "heart humour and heroism" it bodes well. And looks exciting. And for all those noisy people on social media who label him "babygirl" or "softboy" prepare to be surprised. Before injury and acting claimed him he was an outstanding all round sportsman heading for a professional rugby career with one of the UK's top clubs. And remains a specialist martial arts exponent.
Lol, you seem really confused. He doesn't need anyone defending his masculinity. Excelling in sports does not invalidate the "babygirl" label (a term that is used playfully to indicate emotional depth and sensitivity in men). Men can be good at sports AND in touch with their emotions AND have broadened interests outside of the artificially constrained boundaries of traditional masculinity. Nick has spoken at length about how he was sensitive and feeling as a kid and how the environment of sports left him feeling like he could not express that side of himself or explore any artistic hobbies without being ostracized and demeaned. He would not thank you for pushing him back into that box in an effort to defend his masculinity. He is masculine WITH those traits and experiences. Just imagine if he had continued with that mindset and never felt the freedom to explore acting and music. How many other boys and men are pushed into bottling up their emotions and destroying any hint of creativity within themselves in order to prove their masculinity? What a loss to society as a whole. I can't wait to see Nick portray a superhero with the same emotional depth and commitment to complexity of character as he has brought to his other roles.
Baby girl is just saying Nick is well spoken, cute, kind and senstive. Just an all around nice guy. What is he suppose to do to be a real man. Beat up on women get in bar fights. Just be a sob. I say his qualities are just good human qualities.
Absolutely so. I was simply trying to make the point and explain there is much more to this man than romantic leads. And how it takes personal and professional courage and commitment to take on a role like He-Man rather than stay in a rom-com niche. But I would still like to see him reinvent James Bond. Or Bullit. Marlowe (both Marlowes, real spy and playwright, Chandler's private eye) oooh, too much dream casting, and he would be great as them all.
My favorite performances from Nicholas Galitzine it's Mary and George he brings humanity to George , and he never wants any of it, but all that power goes to his head it such a tragic character
Obsessed w this movie! ❤️ I’m living my best HEALED life post divorce. Published a book on finding true WHOLENESS after divorce called “THE SUN ALWAYS PIERCES THROUGH”
Nicholas Galitzine is truly one of the best actors of our generation and we are lucky enough to witness his magic, his talent and his beauty inside-out in every show, movie, scene and line. he's acting with his whole being, his characters multiverse is insane. he is insane.
I was so nervous when they made Red, White and Royal Blue into a movie. The book is excellent and makes you fall in love with the characters and their stories, you completely forget it’s a love story of two men. When I watched the Prime movie I was surprisingly impressed with how they were able to maintain the same feeling of the book. They stayed true to the struggles, but also the love story. Needless to say I’ve watched the movie numerous times❤
N.G. is truly a phenomenon! As an actor he has so many talents and skills in addition to acting: singing, dancing, woodworking, playing several musical instruments, and probably more! Plus, he does an impeccable American accent.
I loved Red White and Royal Blue so it seems as if Henry is cheating on Alex to see him in the Idea of you Movie - You have to bear in mind Nicholas has been in so much more, I saw him first in the movie High Strung, then in others such as Handsome Devil, he's extremely talented.
Nick will be part of the Hollywood Reporter's Actors Roundtable next month, and Actors on Actors, paired with Leo Woodall. That's something to look forward to.
Mr. Galitzine is my favourite young actor of this generation. He is charming and very flexible actor and musician. I saw his movies on purple hearts and cinderella.❤
