Point of correction, Pochetino was not sacked because of what you mentioned. Pochetino wasn't even sacked in the first he left due to mutual consent. He wanted more control over tranfers and players meanwhile the owners of the club wanted a YES man because of this, the both parties mutually agreed to part ways
Enzo Fernandez was somewhat good Under Potter simply becuz he came to Chelsea when the midfield lack confidence and they would work Enzo...but Under Poch they have signed better players than Enzo and he needs to work for them in which he cannot do becuz he's a luxury player. That is why the system works better with Galagher becuz he works for Palmer and Ceicado. Only way this system will work unless Dewsbury will play the Galagher role and push Palmer at right wing which make sense, but the key player is Dewsbury to give Enzo and Caceido that midfield balance, however, Cucurella inverting will give Enzo the freedom to play higher up the pitch and have defensive covering at the same time. GUSTO TOSIN COLWIL CUCU CACEIDO ENZO PALMER DEWSBURY NKUNKU JACKSON REAL POWER HOUSE TEAM THAT HAVE BALANCE ON EITHER SIDE
Enzo I see more like Rodri. Our left back inverts, allowing Enzo to have the potential to move forward to shoot. But as a whole, he does not use much energy rarely moving to the sides. He will be the brain. I really enjoy someone who understands the player who moves the least yet is the most comfortable and intelligent on the ball is also the player that’s most protected. Enzo like Jorginho, Rodri, Busquets and Pep himself have never been the most athletic players. They make up for it with game intelligent and the organiser both with the ball and off the ball. They are the first receiver from the CB’s and everywhere else including striker. They can always be trusted with the ball. It’s like drawing a circle, in the middle of that circle is Enzo. The only player on the field that can connect any position with himself to receive or to distribute to. Now, this is important because he can’t always be free. The inverting full back along with the 8, 10 and 9 will all come inside that circle when Enzo is marked and have to be very comfortable in possession to play bounce passes enlarging the circle until a gap appears to break outside the circle which is creating an opportunity or scoring from an opportunity. Caicedo is the legs and bounce passer. The number 8. Either Dewsbury or Palmer are the 10 who creates, drives and scores. Lavia and Santos are more the question for me. Where do they fit in?
Nice Analysis but you keep brining up videos from Potter days when he was the best...but Chelsea have bought better midfielders since then which change is position. However, Caceido is better at the 6 position so he was forced play higher up in which he fails to cover grounds that exposes Caceido. Enzo is terrible at the 8 position becuz he doesnt cover grounds like Gallagher. Mr Potter builds the team around Enzo and we score like 4 goals in 3 months....but Poch build the team around Palmer, Gallagher and Caceido so we were more fluid offensively and strong defensively.
What is Enzo favourate position? The real reason why he thrived under Potter is becuz players did work for him and the team play badly becuz of that....but under Poch, Chelsea have sign better midfielders in which he needs to work for them an he failed at that. That is why Galagher fit Poch system an not Enzo becuz Gallagher works for Palmer and Caceido so the team was more balance. I would say Enzo is a falls 8 and a deep lying number 10 player, not good at any. The prem is too physical for him, the reason why Caceido, Palmer and Gallagher are better becuz they are Premeir proven, they have a better CV an have adopted to league. There is a player in Enzo but if he cannot run as much as Gallagher he he is going to expose Caceido again and again. Bless!
