Hello!
In this video I ride all four bus lines in the Washington Metropolitan Area numbered "33," the most common bus number in the area. This journey took me through many different urban and suburban environments, and it was surprisingly fun. I hope you enjoy!
*Technically, there are also four "32" lines but the 33s were slightly easier for me to ride.

Metrobus is so sick. 20 minute headways at 1AM is damn solid. the 5 minutes during the day is SO convenient too. Powerhouse route right there, the 33

Never used TheBus, but I like how TheBus kept their paint scheme, very nostalgic. I wish DASH, MetroBus and the others like the Fairfax Connector have retro schemes on some of their buses.

PG County's 33 just got extended to the Branch Ave Metro on June 3rd.

At least you didn’t have to put up with Fairfax Connector seats, I took it last week from Dunn Loring to Franconia-Springfield, and I couldn’t feel my legs by the end

Cool video, I just rode the 33 today from Friendship Heights to Georgetown. It will be really nice if they extend the route north (as they proposed). I was originally going to take Ride On 34 from Bethesda but saw the 30 minute wait and decided it was faster to walk the whole way down Wisconsin Ave!

A slower, less frequent alternative from Bethesda to Georgetown will hopefully be implemented next year as part of the 2025 plan. At some point soon, I expect they will extend the 33 to Bethesda.

I was struck by how large the Ethiopian population is in north virginia and DC, but don't remember seeing any signs in Amharic when I was there. Never knew I was saying it wrong also heh.

Nathan, you should do a review of the better bus consolidation work that Metro is doing and try to sort of evaluate what that’s going to look like for future ridership in the DC area

Thanks for the idea. I already made a presentation-style video about the Better Bus and RideOn Reimagined plan about 6 months ago but maybe I’ll revisit it next year when the first phase of the plan gets implemented :)

gostei muito. eu tambem tenho por hobby conhecer as linhas de bus por aqui hehe. uma duvida: alem dos paineis informativos vc consegue ver por GPS a localização dos bus? por aqui dá pra fazer isso, eu sempre faço pra não ficar mt tempo no ponto esperando.

Sim. Da pra ver a localização no Google Maps e também no Apple Maps (se você tiver um iPhone). Só em alguns ônibus mais velhos que não aparece mas a maioria funciona!
