Thank you for making this video with this song. My son used to sing this song to me. He was an expert swordsman and he and his girlfriend were very involved in anime. My son passed away in January 2010 and this video allows me to remember him in just the perfect way. Also, the young man in the video looks so very much like my son

Escaflowne is a lot different from the typical "anime robot" shows. Give it another chance. This is not a Gundam/Macross/Evangelion-style show. This is the ultimate cross of shojo and shonen, of romance and action, of happiness and sadness. This is one of the few anime from the 90's that still holds up animation-wise today as well because they used up the budget for 39 episodes on "only" 26. Escaflowne is a classic. Watch it. You'll discover that the moment you stop thinking "robot anime".

That was really good. I haven't seen Escaflowne in years, but thi smakes me want to go buy the box-set. I remember the first time I saw the ending of it, I think I cried for a good hour after that.
