Fun fact: in every A-10 clip you see, the first noise is made by the bullets landing, and the second is made by those bullets being fired... That's why they say "if you hear an A-10 you weren't the target"
I want to know why? Is the $400k goes to all the bullets it has fired?? I doubt the gun uses electricity or gas or anything that might be use to expense that much money.
@@ragingstorm_15 crams that are on vessels fire 1 tracer every 5. Crams on land fire rounds that auto destruct once they reach their target or stray too far
@@HelgastJon you can't say all of them if you don't know for sure it might have a faster fire rate the it looks like not trying to correct you just do research before hand
Nowadays my neighbours are drilling every 2nd day for some strange reasons, when i go ask them they stopped drilling and tell me it's nobody is drilling, it's SUS bro💀
That’s for the naval version, the ones used over land use all tracer because they will detonated after a certain amount of time and not fall back down to the ground over populated areas
@@jackedwards462 yes, the C-RAM is derived from the Navy's Phalanx CIWS which itself fires armor piercing rounds with tracers on every 5th round. The army also used the same cannon on its earlier M163 VADS, which the HEIT-SD (High Explosive Incendiary Tracer Self Destructing) round was developed for. They took the round and stuck it into a Phalanx and the C-RAM was born. Also, the M61 Vulcan which is featured in the second part of the video is used in the CIWS, C-RAM, and VADS, so you essentially get to hear the Vulcan twice
Do you know if each following group of 4 non tracers follows the first tracer shot? So technically ever 4 bullets it can change direction? Or am I understanding this wrong
I love the A-10 wish we had them over here in the uk! As a military aircraft fanatic my two favorites are the american made A-10 warthog and the british made panavia tornado
I just went to see if you were right and a guy came running in after me and the brrrrrt started but then there was a loud bang and a brown flash and I woke up a few mins later to a wasteland of shit and porcelain shards and toxic gas
Overall effect goes to the C-Ram, it just sends SO much lead, and sounds like the wail of death, but my pick will always be the flying gun! Everybody gangsta till the A-10s come hot!
There's a delay in the sound for two reasons. One the round blow up after fired and there's a travel time to lay and then the second delay is because the airplane is further away than the camera. Science.
It’s cool hearing the A10 in person. You’ll see all the smoke coming out of the front and it takes several seconds for the actual sound to reach you. Very loud and distinctive. Awesome
