Hey Everyone I appreciate All Your Support! I Dropped A New Battle Network Video For All Those Who Didn't Know Battle Network 3's Secrets! Check It Out Heere Or On My channel! bit.ly/MMBN3 P.S Yes I Changed The Batteries In The Smoke Detector 🤣
Except 4 if you actually want to have fun and not a tedious slog that got cucked by the redesign of the whole games artsyle, that heavily relies on recycled assets and insanely mind numbing tedium. Sure its still fun but compared to the rest it may just be the worst. Know what IT IS.
@Kazuya, honestly, I felt more "cucked", as you put it, by trying to 100% BN3 than I ever did with BN4's New Game Plus. Requiring specific Style Changes to obtain specific battle chips to clear the Secret Area turned into a soul-crushing grindfest and it forces you to play in a style that the GAME dictates, instead of using your OWN style of combat, which completely betrays the entire theme behind "Style Change" to begin with.
@@BladeCrossEXE I like the games cause they're fun, megaman as a whole is one of my favorites and mmbn4 just wasnt enjoyable for me, sure you may like it but Cmon dont tell me you dont think mmbn4 was a stepdown compared to mmbn3
For anyone diving into the games for the first time, don't be ashamed of using guides to find your way around the storyline, they put stuff in some stupidly difficult places to find. P.s. change your fire alarm's batteries.
On God bro I only knew 3 ppl in middle and hs that even knew the game, we ran to a GameStop to buy that link up cable to pvp each other lmao good times
MMBN3 Blue, MMBN5 Team Protoman and MMBN6 Cybeast Gregar are my all time favorites in the series. I've poured hours into these games and am finally glad that these games are experiencing a revitalization.
@@chaikagaz Honestly, I couldn't really get into the Star Force games the same way that I got into MMBN. I played all three versions of the first and second games in the series but only played Red Ace version for the 3rd game. I remember counting down the days to get my GameStop exclusive StarForce Dragon. I played that game for about 6 months straight. Hopefully the profits generated from the MMBN collections is enough for a brand new MMBN-like series.
Even though I have played all 6 games (Skimmed the other 4 alternative versions), and Dread playing 4 again, I still think the Legacy Collection is going to revive my love for the series
@@NoLimitSquad No worries, With Buster Max mode, We don't have to (Along with the Patch cards and Event Chips). No way am I playing 4 In the purist fashion.
I completely agree with this video. If you are new to the series is good to go in order but if you the order of which are the best BN are 3,6,2,5,4 and 1. I'm excited to play all of them again since I was a kid by then and all I knew was to complete the story and I didn't have the internet to discover the secret areas or tricks. My only resources were the Game Informer magazines. Now I want to challenge myself to complete all side quests and be more skilled in net battles!
i've only played starforce and bn1, so i'm excited to finally be able to play through the whole series for myself. i truly do hope starforce gets the same treatment one day, but i'm sure that won't be for a long long time
I honestly had low expectations of star force from the gameplay screenshots. But damn was I wrong, I am now hoping for a starforce legacy collection years later.
@@DontTrypGaming Have You Hacked the Games?!It's Fun!For Example In 3,I Have Folder Back As My Reg Chip,And Bass GS As My 11th Chip! And PAs As Chips,Plus Many Other Giga Chips! They Better Include The Wave Scanner Boosts,Wave Command Cards,And Noise Modification Gear In The Starforce Legacy Collection!
@@DontTrypGaming star force was OKAY the first to had major potential but didn’t hit the spot of the original but the 3rd one joker/ace those games were fucking master pieces can even be consider better than the original series live that 3rd starforce
I still remember 6 fondly because it introduced me to my favorite GBA game Boktai. Still have my sp and copies of 6 and boktai. Looking forward to playing through all of these again.
I played BN4 multiple times both versions and I'm ready to do it again. Childhood nostalgia bias is strong with me. Though I'm gonna start from the beginning this time since I've never played 1 or 2
I played all of them in my childhood. Megaman beast, I think thats game 6. Man, that is my favorite only because there is this one scene that made me cry like a baby.
MMBN4 was my childhood. Played both as long as I could multiple times over. I never did figure out the dark chip/ Bass extra storylines even with the guide though. 5 and 6 were good too.
Lol at 6:40 I got the legacy addition and got stuck at the final boss for like a day. When I put this video on I didn’t know you were telling “congrats on finishing BN1” I heard it as “if you finished BN1 and didn’t quit, that’s me asking btw” and felt called out. So indirectly thanks for lighting that fire in me to push on forward
Im over here playing the legacy collection im playing BN6 first, im playing both at the same time lmao thats how much I love this shit. The item Cards, the codes you can start with omg.
So I'm doing them in number order. And only played one version of 3. I'm about to finish my first playthrough of 4 Red. I've really enjoyed how I've been playing them so far. Because each game gets better and better from the last. And since the chip distribution is different from game to game, no run has felt the same so far. I haven't done any post games yet because I'm excited to get through each one, but I'm eager to go back to even the first game to try and finish all their post games. What a wonderful set of games. I'm so glad I picked up the legacy collections;
I think for me I'll be doing a Chronological playthrough even through all of the hiccups of BN1, and for the version of 3-6 I'll be doing Blue, Red Sun, Colonel, and Gregar. Most of those versions are the ones I owned, though I played every version at one time or another due to emulation. Blue is a must because of FolderBack alone, Red Sun just has more interesting Souls, Colonel edges out on Souls for me and kind of need to get to know Beryl and Colonel for 6's story implications, and Gregar because I enjoy the Crosses more, specifically Elec and Slash Crosses.
For me at least, the first MegaMan Battle Network game I played was Battle Network 4 Blue Moon. I never played Red Sun, but because of Blue Moon, I became a fan of the franchise. So much so that I played both versions of Battle Network 5 and 6. I can't wait to get my hands on the Legacy Collection so that I can both revisit my childhood and play the Battle Network games I didn't get the chance to play.
I honestly hope that we could build a separate chip folder with all of the battle chips from every game and use every battle mechanics to fit everyone’s fighting style
I love love LOVE MMBN! My childhood right there. I played only MMBN3 Blue, MMBN5 Colonel and MMBN6 Gregar. So Im interested to play MMBN1, 2 and 4 to see what I missed.
Battle network 3 is and always will be a masterpiece of the GBA era. It is a perfect game and will always hold a special place in my heart as "the game we played at lunch every day for two years." In high school. I'm halfway through bn3 on the legacy collection. I bought it on my son's birthday a week ago while we were at GameStop for a different game. Bought my son a copy too. One old high school friend bought a copy, a different old high school friend bought a switch just so he could pick up a copy, and 1 new friend knows the game from then and bought a copy because he thinks he can beat me. We haven't been this excited to play a game in a long time.
My first battle network was 3 white. I remember reading about the concept of a net Navi going into electronics to stop viruses and thought it was clever. I loved 3. So much, I went back and tried to hunt down the earlier ones. I only ended up having 1,3,4 though. I stopped after 4. I’m looking forward to this collection.
I tried streaming the series on an emulator during lockdown and as much as I loved the first one back in the day that first entry syndrome hits hard, soo many random battle you cant run from, back trackign maps because they all look the same leading to even more extra battles and the often unclear instructions on next streps furthering the wandering made me skip to BN2 after about 35% completion. 2 was the most memorable for me but 3 definitely was one of the most iconic in the community not that i knew of the community til well after the series ended. I vaguely remember 4 but i never finished it and never played the DS games as I traded in my DS before it really got good games since that first year but i remember really wanting the DS version of 5. I'm really looking forward to the collection to finally do a full play through. Kinda sad we didnt get the Network Transmission from the gamecube, but its so different it doesnt really fit with how capcom does their legacy collections
Started playing thru the legacy collection and the buster max mode makes the random battles of mmbn 1 bearable. I kind of wish they put it at say 40 since that's what your lowest HP metgaurds at the first areas are instead of 100 so that it wouldn't make the whole game too easy
I haven't played these games since I was a kid. Can't wait to try them out again! 3 was my first and favorite (so I wanna jump into that one), but I'm gonna play it in chronological order since I never fully played through 1 and 2.
I'll be starting with 5 & then probably going forward from there. I grew up playing 5, and i never beat it because of the 100 samurai mini game lol, so itll be nice to revisit my childhood with these games, and playing the ones I missed out on. These are the only Megaman games I like due to the combat, and overall game mechanics of these games. Im very interested in the PvP aspects as well, and I hope the PvP scene will be live and active for a long time
Yeah bro that dummy mini game really got to me when I was younger. It felt like such an accomplishment to get it done back then 😂 I'm sure the pvp scene is gonna explode when this comes out
I just finished replaying 2 myself! I played 4.5 English patch, it was different but I did like it, def give it a try! The competitive scene is gonna be lit!! Thanks so much for watching!
If you don't mind emulating, not only is there an English patch for 4.5, as somebody else mentioned, there's also a patch that restores the battle system to match all of the mainline games, so you have full control instead of everything being automated. It's kind of amazing, modders used BN4 to port the entire battle system across, and started making unique custom abilities for each Navi.
First time playing series I had started StarForce 2&3 when I was a child I tried playing battle net one I couldn't finish I lost motivation and fun over half way through the game but You got me having hope for the battle network 2
The N1 Grand-Prix + Hospital chapter was TOOOOOO freakin good. Me as a kid playing through that..the adrenaline was on high as if i was really on a time limit.
@@carlosaugusto9821 Exactly!! There are some RU-vidrs that believe you should skip it but they are like some others who played the others game and then played the first one. Which is no wonder they couldn't get into it. Playing the first one makes you appreciate the others even more when you see how they improved the rest.:)
For someone new I would recommend 2, 4 (probably Red for Mayl development), and 6 Falzar from a story perspective. The story of 1 isn't strictly necessary, and the critical bits are revisited in 2. The bug fusing final act does a good job of setting up 6 and has maybe the most emotionally gripping final act in the series. 4 is more optional overall, but it does either revisit or introduce many characters, which does a good job of setting up 6. I also think that for narrative flow it's good to have a break game between 2 and 6. 6 Falzar I feel does the best job of progressing the story to it's final conclusion, with team 2 facing Gregar (a threat Lan and Megaman have already bested in game 2) while they instead wrestle with and eventually defeat Falzar, arguably the most powerful single program entity in the series. I found that 5 wasn't needed as while it introduced Colonel it doesn't really develop his character in ways necessary to know for the story of 6. I feel mixed on 3, it's a good game but it also isn't very story relevant to the larger narrative. It could possibly be slotted in place of 4 depending. I mostly included 4 because it "feels" like Lan and Megaman are established as Heroes and are operating at a higher tier, which sets them up for their final struggles in game 6.
I loved the battle network games when I was a kid (I also had the pleasure to play the games at the same time I watched the Anime) as for my favorite game has to be network 6 cybeast gregor I remember replaying it a lot when I was younger
I remember when I was 7 I got to post game in 3 and I was in secret area 3, I had no idea wtf I was doing there. I had this neighborhood that beat it at the time, so one morning I woke up at 7am and banged on his door till he woke up and he told me what to do next. In retrospect that was rude AF but in retrospect it's also MegaMan Battle Network 😂
all of them clearly 😁 5 and 6 are my favorite games but I'm nostalgic for the first 3 since I used to watch the anime along with it same with pokemon good times.
I'll probably do 3 first since that's where I started as a kid and it blew my world. I actually started with the Battle Network games which was all the more frustrating when I was trying to look for more but kept finding these side scrolling jump n shooters... which I was too dumb to pick up at the time that they were the originals games, and that Battle Network was it's own side series. Then I'll do everything else in order.
I have a weird journey with this series, first got BN2 but the cartridge's battery was dead so could never save my game, but still loved it so got BN1. Completed it loved Bass and got BN3 loved it again and became a fan of Protoman! Didn't play the rest after that as I stopped playing games but this time around I'm going to play BN2 first as it was always the one I could never complete xD
I love all of them, and missed all of them that’s why I got it. Another good one is Medabot 😢 I wish they did also released all version released but as in English.
Read three articles about ranking the Series. Very consistent opinions. Favorite is 3 (blue), second is 2, and third is usually 6. At the bottom is usually 4 and 1.
really wish they had used the DS remake of BN1 for the legacy collection. It fixed so much of the tedious parts of BN1. Part of me wanted to just play that one on my DS and then start the collection with BN2, but that felt wrong. Here's hoping the steam version gets a decently sized modding community eventually
Six was my first and only Battle Network as a kid. I looooved it. Loved the story and I beat it. I'm so excited to try the others now that this remaster came out! I didn't even know this was being released either! Also. Better change that smoke alarm battery. Lmao.
I remember when a friend in school told me to try this games. He said "start with battle network 2, you won't like 1". At the time, I think the latest release was 4. So I played MMBN 2, loved it, then went for 3 and 4. Then played 1, and yes, I didn't like it. I still forced myself to play it for the story, but if I had started the series with 1, I'd probably wouldn't have given a chance to the whole saga.
I started with BN1 and liked it. But well, i found out this game pretty close to release. There was only BN1. Then I kept playing all sequels right after release.
spent hundreds of hours on MMBN3 when I was younger. The internet was not as big at the time so my family did not have internet. Had to figure everything by myself and find secret by myself. Those were great memories.
To me 3 is the best because of how well rounded the experience is in every sense. Lots of improvements from the past games. And personally i dislike the amount of gimmicks of later games.
Yep folderback was such a game breaking chip. If you use any chip, use folderback is hands down the single greatest and strongest chip to use in every battle network game 1 through 6
It's been foreever since I played battle network but on top of suffling your "graveyard" of chips back into your deck it also just acted as a full custom chip(which you would play as its own broken chip by itself) which let you instantly let you repick more chips!?!?
@DontTryp yeah going to enjoy the story might just do like any % finish with all and slowly come back and finish the ones I like the least will they all have pvp compatibility I wish it was one giant chip library and use what ever you want
@@DontTrypGaming Ah, I may have neglected to mention I've played through BN2, BN3 Blue, BN5 Team Colonel, and BN6 Gregar. I don't remember which BN4 I played through, unfortunately.
I finally got a retail copy of the Legacy Collection for a good price and I'm totally looking forward to it. Even though it's disliked a lot meanwhile I'd still always start with the first game. It was my entry and made me live the Battle Network Series. Part 2 is my personal favorite, but this may be, because I never got a copy of part 3. Part 6 was also a great game, better than 5 and 4, my least favorite in that order.
