Hogan, Macho Man, Ultimate, Backlund, Warrior, Andre, Sgt. Slaughter, Flair, Yokozuna, Undertaker, Sid, Hbk, Bret and Austin wore this belt. This was it! This was THE belt!
The dual plate lasted two years, from 1988 to 1990 (WrestleMania IV to VI), this version had the "heavy weight" in gold. From there there was only the single plate version with "heavy weight" in black till 1998. Both version had many smaller revisions, since they kept braking them. The dual plated is a lot nicer, but I would prefer the single plate since that's the one I knew once I started watching the show and Bret, Shawn, Undertaker, Sid and Stone Cold were the champions.
fantastic review. very helpful. if I got one it would def be the dual plated but the only thing that I don't like (and I get why they can't do it legally) is they have the "W" logo rather than "WF" im such an old school guy. if the belt is a replica of the past I want it to reflect that :(
Hey. I wanted the WWF logo too and I found one on a site called MOC Belt. I was very close to getting it but they i read the reviews and they were horrible. Some people said they've been waiting a year to get their belts so I was like woah!! better not. So I went with the dual plated from WWE. thanks for watching glad you liked it.
Thank you so much for showing us this. I've been pretty green when it came to belts and as soon as I watched the first 3 seconds of this video, I already knew The Duel Plated was the superior of the two and I never knew of the two differences. The one thing I wish is that them belts said WWF
Great review and conparison! I really liked that you knocked on the metal to really show the difference between these belts! Not something I saw in other reviews, really good stuff!
Good video, thanks. It would be great if you included the name of both sellers (company) & the price of each. It might help others decide if they will buy & who to buy from.
I can't decide which belt to buy because growing up I never noticed the dual plating colour on TV because it wasn't HD. So in my mind the all gold belt is what it always looked like. So the one with dual plating looks wrong -- even if it's right. ahhhh!
Yeah the dual plated didn't survive after macho man's carelessness combined with curt hennig absolutely demolishing the thing. Later we got the single plated gold winged eagle.
I like it better when the background is painted black behind the word heavyweight as well. I also don't like the world relief piece. That's just my opinion.
i have a dual plated but not a fan. i wanted to get a replica but wwe shop only has blue and white strap belts so i'm still waiting. i don't want to go through ebay bc it's either hit or miss
thanks man, i got the knocking part - that was something i needed to know I'm surprised you are too content with the plastic /aluminum sounding plate Won't be buying these from them unless hear a solid metallic sound on plates
Shop belts are absolutely horrid. Once you get hands on a rep from a reputable craftsman you can never go back also dual plating looks beautiful on it.
@@bigwrestlingfan3365 when and where do you live in calgary why not ask him for some of his old things like jacket, shades, boots or suggest him to line up these in his rusted shop website
@@bigwrestlingfan3365 Get thee 90s Intercontinental Belt those are my two favorites of all. Both that The Warrior held up in WRESTLEMANIA 6 When he took Hogans and held on to his . That Intercontinental Belt !!! Oooooh wee but of course the Black One .IC belt !!! I dislike 👎🏽 the new looking one … 🤮 🤢 barf!!! Yuck .
Greatest belt of all time is the intercontinental belt it was held by the Rockstars of wrestling. Growing up in the 80' early 90's the greats wanted the intercontinental belt. Hogannwasbthe only one holding this belt.
I was already thinking he needs to just say he likes the dual plated version much, much more than the new version. He eventually said it though. Sounded like a politician telling you why one political party is better than the other! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
