You don't need multiple versions to run multiple instances, just middle-click on the taskbar icon to launch another. I do have different versions installed to evaluate newer ones but when working on production stuff I usually use multiple instances of the same version. Gotta say, just using the cycles X build for rendering is a great idea.

that works too, but i wanted to run diff version, not diff instances of the same blender. if addons give me grief no matter how many instances i ll run, it will be the same blender

Nice video mate, I'm currently moving over to 2.93, but need to copy all my addons and settings without having to do all manually again, do you have a solution to this or a video you've already made perhaps? :)

Why do i feel like my brain cant manage having multiple blenders and checking which addons work correctly in each version. Im trying to understand why that makes me feel uncomfortable is there something i have to address in my mind?

Thanks Ryuu. I found that some of my KitOps inserts cause error messages in 2.93, but work fine in 2.92.

Have multiple Blender with the same version will be a better way for sure you have all update release with cool Features. a Cool way will be you have one Ready to make Tool in Blender with Scripting Python and another one to make 3D Art. for me different version is a no no. Because they fix a lot of bug on each version. Also I made my own Tool and Script maybe that way I dont be to much worry to upgrade my version

First and second advantage is stupid your pc have have defined resources and another version wouldn't make things better if your pc is slow during rendering in 2.93 2.92 will have same problem computer operates in mb of ram not blender versions If your blend file got corrupted just open another window and copy everythig there also 2.92 geo node tree doesn't compatible with 2.93 because of join geo node at least But i agree with addon testing and testing new features in alpha versions this can be advantage

sounds like you need stronger pc, because i can render a vid, handbreak a vid, render in blender while playing a pc game at the same time. no issues. so 3 blenders being opened is child's play.

@@PonteRyuurui kreate blank textures in uv, make bake and missing image, after being created and set in the material. after a while the textura disappears. but only if it is a blank texture
