Hey, Anvitha ! nice analysis I am final year CSE student at RVCE most of the good students come to RVCE for placements which was great so far, but due to RVU, RVITM and the no of increasing branches of CSE, I don't know how will be the placements as for many branches like AI/ML, Data Science, Cyber security it will be the first batch of placements so donno whether will the no of offers can match the no of students, so it would be good if the students who want to join know about this.
Thanks Anvitha for this insightful info of all the branches. However, can you do a short video on CS specific branches providing difference between the core CS and the specialization topics. Since you are specializing in AI, how helpful has it been for you so far would be a nice to hear, thanks once again.
I have got 2147 rank in comedk 2024 and thinking to opt ETE at RVCE...actually i am more interested to do btech in ECE so can you tell me what is the process and the cgpa required for branch change after 1st year??( also what are the chances of branch change)
Not much. First two years are exactly the same In third year CSE core gets choice of electives but the specialisations have to do the subjects related to their branch
Hi di,I'm Rahul i have scored 840 rank in kcet will i be able to get cse in rv?? Bcz by seeing last year cutoff it stood at 497,ya its difficult and previous to that(i.e 2022) it stood at 1600 so I'm confused a lot.
In 2022 it was delayed a lottt upto November so you can't go by those cutoffs. Even then for GM it was below 500 for Cse core. And congrats on the great rank! 🎉
ETE is 90% same as ECE in terms of subjects while EEE has the machine and electrical part instead of networks and communication subjects. I personally preferred ETE as I liked the subjects more than electrical. It's upto your interest

Sister, I wanted to know about civil engineering in RVCE!!! Bcuz, I'm thinking of to take this branch through Comedk with a rank of 24195... And once we join in a branch...after 1st year can we change the branch as per our wish?
I have secured 13k rank in comedk should i take civil branch in rvce though more inclined toward the coding and stuff? Are the placement opportunity really that good?
If you're inclined to coding take some CS related branch.... it will be better for placements as well. In RVCE Civil a good IT placement is possible but it might be difficult to manage academics and coding.
No they aren't the same thing. RVCE is the original RV that everyone knows about. RVU is in the same campus but it's fully separate. They offer more of Commerce and Arts related courses
I asked them, apparently Some faculty are really good and some are average. If you're passionate about Aerospace then it'll be worth it but if you want placements just after undregrad then probably not. Also most ppl go for Masters in abroad in Germany or IITs in India.
