Okay note to self: 1. 5 easy payments of $999.00 2. Barf bags are not required, but are suggested. 3. Getting insurance after an accident is not a good idea or recommended. 😂😂😂😂 Seriously, great video, speaking for myself and I think many others, I am looking forward to seeing the course release. I am firm believer in following valid guidance and not re-inventing the wheel. Just one more addition, I would recommend that a good CPA be involved with this business or any for that matter. I am sure you may cover this in the course, but just wanted to note it. 👍👍 Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this video. You are correct... we will never own the Turo platform .. so it’s not really our business ... someone else has control... and can change the rules..
Dude when people start talking about courses it’s a total turn off for me. There’s too much FREE information out here to be paying people for courses guys. Take the time to DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! It’s a part of making an investment. Thank you for your free content though. I do appreciate it.
I see your point for sure- but, there are also people out there that would be more than happy to pay money to have it all laid out there for them. And I think there is value behind that. Also, in the case of Turo- I don’t include every aspect on my process on this channel, because I don’t want people to be able to find my cars. In this course, I’ll be more detailed than I have been on this channel. But your 100% right, it is all online and I’ll never stop making the free content but the course will be there for people if they want it
@@AubreyJanik I understand. I just cringe when I hear the word “course” because there’s so much of that in the content creation world these day. And most people pay for a course and still never go out and do anything. But I get it, I see both sides of the coin.
Hi Aubrey, as I write NASA is about 7 minutes to launch 4 astronauts to the ISS. Turo, since you introduced me (us) to Turo, I have to say I like the model. IDK if it would fly as good here in CT as you have in the Dallas area, but I think the model would work in other applications. I'm actually trying it with a tool I bought. A lot less risk, and IDK if the return will be close. Thank you, launch time Bill
The course is currently available! You can find it here: aubreyjanik.teachable.com/p/the-car-sharing-masterclass Use Code RU-vid for $25 off! I'd also like to clear up a comment that I made at the end of the video stating I did not think Turo was a good Career Path and not something I would empty your life savings into - there is a BIG difference between making a smart investment with some extra money you may have, versus dumping your entire life savings into something to give it a shot. THIS is what I mean by my comment at the end of the video. Turo is an Incredible side hustle, but in my opinion, you should not rely on it for 100% of your income, it's also not something that you should dump your entire savings into. Start with 1 car and scale from there. I see far too many people start with 0 cars and then scale up to 10-15 cars in a matter of weeks. This is, in my opinion, playing with fire. Be smart, be thoughtful with your growth strategy, and if you do that Turo can be an amazing side hustle!
Hey Aubrey Cool Videos I learned so much! I do have a question since you buy your own vehicles for how long do you hold them ? Like till they give up or do you just get ride of them at a certain milage ?
Love the value provided on the video but please don't undervalue yourself. Your hard earned knowledge packaged into a course should be way more than 90 something dollars.
@@TheCorpOfc they do up to 20K per year but you can add even more with the discounted mileage! And remember you can charge for mileage on Turo to offset this!
Let's use a 2007-2010 Yaris as an example. If you look at a Yaris for this year on FB, Craigslist, or Cars.com, it's going to be very rare for you to find one that is below $3500-$4000. Regardless of mileage, relative condition, and year - these cars will VERY rarely be priced below that. This has been true with this car for a few years now. This means this particular car has hit it's bottom, it doesn't have anywhere else to go, and it will most likely be able to sell at that price point (or around it) for the foreseeable future. This has hit it's bottom. If you go on car sites and find older model cars that are all priced around the exact same price regardless of exact mileage, year and condition - that's a good sign that that particular car has hit its bottom.
@@AubreyJanik So cars have to be no oder than 13 years old so do they get kicked off once they "age out" or is the car age limit applicable just when you list them?? thanks, KK
I have a lot, but they are very rarely parked for long periods of time. The only time this has happened in my career with Turo was the peak of Covid lockdown last April.
How did you transfer your 10 cars to your LLC? Also, I’m thinking about getting started and creating the LLC then buying a car. Am I able to get financing or a loan with a newly established entity?
Made a comment in the wrong area: So cars cannot be older than 13 years so do they get kicked off once they "age out" or is the car age limit applicable just when you list them?? thanks, KK
Honestly, enterprise a lot of the time will be a better deal and cheaper. If you are older with a good driving record turo could be a better option- but really Turos sweet spot is for people that won’t qualify for Enterprise or they want a car ASAP and enterprise isn’t open or doesn’t have anything available
I saw a STEEP decline for almost the entire month of March and into April- but as of now, things are back to normal. It helps that I’m in Texas where Covid restrictions are basically non-existent other than a mask. But things are very close to how they were pre-Covid
Quite honestly, with the amount of data, number of cars, and experience I have I could very easily teach a class. Aubrey is right, if you use Turo to defray costs of car ownership, it's a great tool. To try to generate additional cash flow or much of a return on investment, it's not worth the time nor effort anymore.
How contradictory, you say Turo is not a good business investment/career path. Career is different from business investment. Yet you want to sell a course for people to take a career in Turo 😂. Great video tho, just contradictory closing. It’s like you’re 1/2 leg into the pond. You in or out? 😂
That's not what I say at all, I say Turo isn't a good full-time gig, but it's a great side hustle and investment. Meaning I would never rely 100% of my income on Turo. This is something I have consistently stated throughout my entire Turo and RU-vid career, it's also something I talk about consistently in my course. A full-time gig is not the same as a side hustle/investment. Why would I say it's not a good investment if I myself am currently growing my Turo fleet?
When you price something at 99 dollars, you're denegrating people. I would like to ask you to please use sensible round numbers that don't anticipate a person will pay for something that's 99 dollars but they won't touch it for $100. This practice needs to come to an end
