The problem with these videos is they don't even REMOTELY take into account that this guy is a mediocre cook. They just assume the recipe must suck if he made it and it tastes like nothing.
@@DeltathRiylaan you are right though. But he said it's based on RU-vid videos not written. So it just means the recipe is incomplete. So the point this video ? I don't know.
@@morganduda3274 Yeah, pretty sure it's MUCH more likely that the Tasty "chef" didn't cook it right rather than the best chef of the 5 having the driest chicken recipe.
@@babaganoush56 yeaa it's really hard to believe that a Michelin star chefs food is plain and dry and also it's Gordon Ramsay one of the best chefs in the world
I have been using the snoop dogg recipe since I saw this video 2years ago, with a few changes like actually putting the orange juice in the brine after it cooled and also leaving the chicken in seasoned butter milk for a few hours. Amazing ❤️
I can't wait to try this. You know how it is in the South. You can be a Michelin chef who has traveled the world delighting palettes from every culture but if you can throw down on some fried chicken you ain't nobody! 😂😂😂
Just watched the actual Gordon Ramsey vid and this guy didn't do Gordon's chicken correctly. In Gordon's vid, the shallots and garlic are chopped (not just dumped in whole) and are already mixed with the buttermilk before the chicken is added. Gordon shakes the excess buttermilk off so the coating is not all a mess which this guy does not do which results in bits getting burnt, also Gordon used smoked paprika and not cayenne pepper for the seasoning, the only thing this guy got correct was that there was some rosemary but Gordon never says it so this guy doesn't use it. (not sure why as you can see it. 😂)
@@Zauchi He didn't even shake off excess flower or buttermilk. In a double dredge, you have to shake it off or the coating becomes too thick. Which increasing cooking time and ends up with dry chicken. The cook seems like an amateur. You can tell by the way he cooks too.
Couldn't guess the marinade herbs, barely seasoned the flour with the wrong red spice, then proceeded to burn the living hell out of the chicken, just as you said. He didn't give Gordon a shot in hell!
@@TheModeRedExactly! 😂 He didn’t even try….. It’s almost as if he wanted to deliberately make it wrong/bad just so he could say “Gordon isn’t a good chef” loool. 😂
Except they way overcooked it. Look at the color shown immediately after frying, and then when served to the judges. It doesn't even look like the same chicken. This is just Tasty's way to create controversy and an "interesting" video. Because, what video would be interesting if Gordon Ramsay won? It would be too obvious. They gotta make it interesting somehow. Oh, lets make the best chef's chicken the worst!
Snoop dogs recipe brings so much creativity, from the bitter ness of the orange peals to the salty crunch of the potato chips, now that’s some innovative fried chicken!
True, he wasn’t smiling in the introduction... but the judges this time are actually very nice, Inga is just a great human being like Rie. In previous videos, the judges was so annoying and they should be judged lol
Grav DYI it wasn’t good because they didn’t have the recipe. They only followed what was on the RU-vid video but no proper instruction. If they had the actual recipe then the outcome would have been different
Even KFC and jollibee make more flour and some spices but texture and flavor is more good how can you say Gordon is the best? When KFC and jollibee are more branch than Gordon restaurant logic
He was going by what was provided in the video or article. Miss Patti mentioned her seasoning, Ramsay did not mention ANY seasoning, not even salt and pepper. It's like you people didn't understand what was said clearly in the video. He said that Ramsay did not mention any seasonings in the video, that's why he followed that.
@pubby He was just telling you dumbasses the reason which was stated in the video about why he didnt add any seasoning (Oh and BTW clearly you care since you still went to the trouble of commenting back to him..)
@@accc9090 "Video" is Latin, meaning "I see". You SEE the seasoning in the Ramsay video. You see even what it is and get a good idea about how much. If you leave it out despite knowing better, fine, but don´t call it "recipe of XXX" in that case. Call it "my private bland shit recipe" ... meat without salt is like a car with no motor.
@@Sochickwlw123 exactly description on the video explicit say... Gordon Ramsay provides a step-by-step demonstration on how to make amazing buttermilk fried chicken with rosemary honey, so they atleast missed rosemary and honey, also the cooking was wrong gordon pulled out the chicken before it was done and gave it 6-7 minutes in oven to keep it moist. so yeah they sabotaged it. dont know if it would be the best in the taste test, but it would have come out different on 2 key complaints it being dry as a turkey dinner and no flavour
SnowCloud if u ask me, I feel as tho he might not hav did it the way Gordon would actually do it. If u think about it, I rlly don’t think any of these were fair cause the original cook wasn’t in the show, maybe if he was actually there the results would have been different
@@shadowkamui874 Honey I think you need to get a life because you're sitting here replying to every comment in this comment section and it's never anything positive
@@deathbooks223 Yes he does, he constantly adds salt and pepper to everything. Lot's of cooks and chefs do that because otherwise the food we make tastes more bland.
The worst channel for click bait...I came here to see a real Chef...not some punk thinking he's the bee's knee's for cooking fake recipes of the stars....
@@mastertemple8369 yes. these are untrained amateur cooks who think cooking is that simple. i always feel cringe whenever i see Tasty videos. this one i only view because Gordon is on the thumbnail
@@mastertemple8369 well its not clickbait because not everyone came here to see only a celebrity cook , second thing its not clickbait because the title just asks a question it doesnt say "celebrities compete and cook fried chicken"...
@@annelisemeier283 Also probably has to do something with the fact that TASTY absolutely BUTCHERED Gordon Ramsay's fried chicken recipe. His chicken looked PHENOMENAL.
@@bogboi2600 I have read that he didn't prepare the buttermilk right(he didn't chop up the ingredients), but that doesn't change the fact that the chicken was bland. The only salt was in the flour whereas most of the other chicken was brined and the salt flavor penetrated into the chicken.
@Greg Jacques Lucifer's Jizz Gargler it probably would due to increased penetration, but the taste would be questionble edit: and you would chemically cook the meat
@@vee8342 boo if you dont think seasonings and shit like that dont pack on the pounds they do, and if you dont know that you must still be in elementary
yeah he's pretty shit at following instructions let's be real no matter what your personal preference is if gordon ramsay actually did that himself it probably would've won
