Gordon would have seasoned the steak so much better!! I’ve seen the same recipe and he explains that you want to season enough for it to cut through the whole steak

I don't find this to be an accurate judgement or test...each steak is a different cut/type which will turn out differently everytime with the meats texture and how much flavor it holds
That’s what I was confused about. I just assumed it was because they couldn’t find any other confirmed recipes (even though I don’t know if the ones in this video have been confirmed)
@@clarradactyl7791 exactly, but the judges added more stuff to the other dishes, even though IT’S A STEAK COMPARISON NOT A STEAK DINNER COMPARISON. One of them even said Gordan’s steak needed more pizazz, salt and pepper was what she said, the steak was literally seasoned with salt and pepper.
@@cassynedelisky796 yeah, just from looks, these are all sitting at a solid medium-well. Dude needs a meat thermometer, if I got served any of these at a steakhouse I'd be upset.
@@lyzie1496 Yup. Unless your really careful and your pan is screaming hot, there is no way to get a good sear on a steak that thin and expect medium rare. And even then, it's dicey. With Ramsey's French butter baste with garlic and herbs, everything would be burnt in a pan that temp. Nothing like the taste of burnt butter and garlic on overcooked steak.
Y’all doing it wrong: Ayesha Curry has the exact same recipe as a regular restaurant: you need a thick cut with good fat content Gordon Ramsay has the same recipe as Ayesha Curry minus the oven for thinner home steak, thyme vs Rosemary to taste Porowski has a steak that belong in a taco and is probably a skirt or flank They don’t work with the same cut so you can’t compare them side to side
@@thoughtoflegend1761 No, traditionally the steak is seared first and then goes to the oven, hence if you sear your steak after sous vide it is called "reverse" sear.
@Queen Boo Constructive criticism: the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. Yeah, that's possible too. I know almost no one knows what that is anymore. It's easier to think that all criticism is bad.
Lol Ramsey’s steak wasn’t even medium rare and that one person said they were scared to try it. Perfect person to judge steaks, and they choose a flank steak lol.
These vids are not really true results cause how they are cooked is going to be done by the buzzfeed dood and the ratios of seasonings can only be done perfectly by the ones that made the recipe, I think Gordan ramsey would be the best if he had done it himself.
Chrissy Teigen and Antoni Porowski have the best steak recipes in this contest. I’m surprised no one adds fresh fennel when basting with olive oil and butter.
RAmsey would never cook a skinny ass steak like that. And the way he seasons his stuff. That girl would have never said it’s under seasoned. Also. No way it was rare. For sure they forced them to say so
@@flowrdawg8485 I never said that he's Gordon Ramsay, I know that he's a human being but people do get techniques wrong that is important for recipes, including myself so pls DON'T take my reply the wrong way I'm not blaming the guy ffs
Its hard to be impartial. If they were all plain steaks without the extra stuff it would be more fair. Like you could still use the thyme, and garlic and stuff. I was just referring to the mushrooms and onions, ect.
I think I know why they always mess up Gordon Ramsay’s recipe it’s because he is just too good if they followed the recipe he would be too hard to beat
Ok, two things: 1. Why is the cook using a low smoke point oil? No bueno. 2. The male judge was so annoying. Nothing was evidently to his liking. Get rid of him!
"Where's The Beef" I prefer my steak prepared in a little olive oil, butter. But having a steak swimming in garlic, spices, jalapeños, limes, ultra amount of butter... yuck, why spoil the taste of good beef by masking it. For those who like all those extra masking flavors, just do it on a piece of toast. Will taste the same for you.
Riddle me this, Lance: what if we soaked YOU in a little olive oil, butter. How would you feel? Walk a mile in beef's shoes next time you hate like this
What I have learnt from watching Hell's kitchen Gordon Ramsay will never ever let anyone cut the steak immediately after its done. He always say that if you cut it immediately the juices from the steak comes out making it dry.
I mean the steak from gordon was obviously overcooked but alot of people now days just dont know to appreciate the plain flavor of food itself. People nowdays have gotten so caught up with like completly drenching their food in whatever they can find and it just makes them think that its gonna make it taste better and the original is just boring ._. Stop doing this and actually apreciate the way the food u get tastes
