Very good video, with helping what to start with the collection. You can always buy two boxes, put one away. If it’s RASS50’ you can smoke 2 a month to see how this ages. Or even 1 every other month. So this will take you to 8 to 10 years to finish 1 cab. So your other one will be aged for 8-10 years. Doing with with all your cigars, will help you understand how ageing works. I understand the recommendations, but unfortunately, you will have a sad time if you wanted to buy most of these cigars in germany. You can not age or smoke things made out of unobtainium. :(

I have a question: once a veguero in Cuba told me that the best cigars and the one prone to aging, are the ones produced in years when the rain is not abondant, so the tobacco plants are irrigated only when needed. This produces a richer tobacco that age very well. Since you’re an outstanding investigator. Thanks!
Really insightful video. The Ramon's seem to have resonated with aficionado's...I'm glad you mentioned Partagas Shorts as well, they are an absolute gem. In my limited experience of ageing cigars, two really stood out for me. The H. Upmann Connoisseur No. 1 and Montecristo Petit Edmundo. Both aged beautifully at around the 10 year mark.
Thanks for this video; we don’t have to forget that rolled cigars are an alive entity that are breathing… aging in a humidor with other blends they breath from one to the other and if leaved in the box they end having some woods notes … of course we are talking about Habanos choice 👍🏻. I would like to point the new release of Flor de Selva N°15 CTYRC (Certified Ten Years Rolled Cigars) that have been aged in-house in special humidity/temperature/light control and not in boxes 😋💨👍🏻🥂 just unique experience
Wouldn’t you need a temperature controlled humidor to perfectly age habanos cigars, temps in the uk vary wildly, extreme heat to extreme cold year after year, wouldn’t that turn the tobacco into concrete and be unsmokeable
Sure. Humidity is very important for aging. Temperature also but not as important if you are in Europe indorr where temperature doesn’t fluctuate thst much. Not everyone can affird a temperature controlled humidor.
To perfectly age a cigar humidity and temperature need to be consistent, keeping your home a consistent temp in the uk is ridiculously expensive at the moment and also very hard to do, a lot cheaper/easier to buy a humidor with that technology, I don’t age my cigar’s for this reason, I smoke them as fresh as possible

I am really surprised to see some many people recommending the Ramon Allones no.3. In my humble opinion, after having smoked 4 of them in a span of about 6 months, I consider this cigar "mediocre" at its best. Bad construction, bad looking wrapper, and not much evolution, which is a pity considering that the brand lacks a thick cigar in its vitolario...the first batch was indeed shipped too early, and clearly lacked additional fermentation..but overall I wouldn't have recommended it for long term storage. On the other side, a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to smoke a Montecristo Especial Jul 00, and it tasted completely out of this world. In comparison, I also smoked an early 2000s Fundadores, and it couldn't stand a chance against the Montecristo. Top recommendation 👍

I bought a box of Allones No.3 in Abu Dhabi, I bought some sticks in Geneva, I bought some sticks in Limassol and all the cigars I smoned were really good. I have had disappointing experiences in the past with various cigars but so far never with an Allones No.3. I am currently very disappointed withnanbox of Montecristo No.2 so I will let them age. In general aging helps when cigars do not taste great. But we all must admit that bot allncigars taste the same even sometimes in the same box. They have not all been rolled by the same person…
Sometimes 10 years is not even enough for the cigars to be at its finest taste. What I've seen that has a lot of potential: For 10 years of aging, 1. Partagas Serie D4 2. Montecristo No.4 3.
