The REBUILD statement uses the existing index as the basis for the new one. It reads all the index blocks using multi block I/O then discards the branch blocks.

In Environmental variable we will set Oracle_sid as database instance name . In Oracle, the ORACLE_SID is just the name for the Oracle Instance and has not very much to do with the DBNAME. A database with the name PROD, can be served using Instances with any valid name. There is no direct connection between the SID and the DBNAME. This connection is made using the parameters. The parameter file is identified as init${ORACLE_SID}.ora or spfile${ORACLE_SID}.ora In the parameter file is the parameter db_name. This is where the connection between the Oracle Instance and the database is made.
Hi Arun, I have planned do OCA 12c.I have doubt weather 12c is best for cerftication or 18c. I don't know that orcale has an 18c has come out for cerftication Kindly give me few advice to do cerftication and version also.
Just go with 12c certification. Oracle always releases upgrade certifications later. You can, in future, just complete one upgrade certificaiton for 18c, 19c, 21c ;) and just roll on!

Hi Arun, plz tell if we have dataguard broker dgmgrl configuration then can we perform switchover or failover activity by disable this dgmgrl configuration and perform the activity with steps defined in your videos and my environment have standalone environment in which we have one production and one physical stdby database?
dgmgrl simplifies data guard management. When you have data guard configured, dgmgrl helps you perform failover and switchover. No need to disable dgmgrl else you will have manually rebuild entire data guard setup. DGMGRL removes manual data guard management. It is there for your help!
