I did not realize there were six different versions of this ship. I believe I have all of them on my account. I also got the tenth anniversary bundle and love it. I normally fly smaller ships, but love the constitution class.
As far as performance in game, the Legendary Konnie is probably my best. Surgical strikes hits hard and I can double stack Intel team with fresh from R&R to be basically untargetable most of the time. I've dominated my friends in pvp with it, run solo ISS like it was a patrol, and it's my most successful elite tfo ship. As a phaser BO boat, I've liked the legendary connie. Probably because I've never been able to get into unconventional systems proccing like some kind of perma newb. (I have way too many temporal ships, so I never got the allure of the promo connie) Donnie is cool in both forms. It's an FDC, making it instantly better than every science carrier
Actually, there was an episode in STRANGE NEW WORLDS that implied that, thanks to the Romulans sending agents back in time to scuttle Earth's advancements into space, that the look of the "original" NCC-1701 Enterprise changes.
Agreed. While TMP Enterprise is more dynamic, the TOS Enterprise is a joy to film and photograph at any angle. The NuTrek Connie is to squat and thus lacks the Enterprises 4:3 aspect ratio design for the old cathode ray tube TV's she was built to appear on. New Trek ships were designed for 16:9 aspect ratio, and this has had the unfortunate effect of making them pancaked. Nut's to the 'The neck is a weakness'. The neck and pylons make a Trek ship visually dynamic. Take Voyager... That ship has no depth. If you film the saucer, you get the engineering hull on a plane so close to the saucer that there is no perspective change. With the TOS Enterprise if you film the saucer you don't get the engineering hull, unless you angle the camera down. That gives the camera operator more options for camera composition.
Temporal Light Cruiser can even be an EPG monster (with 5/3 to boot) even without a secondary deflector plus the passive +20% ALL Damage from it's Ominous Device and its active clicky that does the annoying dsc klingon hax
For years I’ve been trying to collect every Connie variant between different characters on my one account including stuff like the Kirk-Class (32c Connie). Ever since it came out the Kelvin Command Connie has been my favorite. It’s tanky and you can build a pretty strong torpedo boat out of it.
As a mostly casual player and not stat chaser, the 10th bundle is what I have been saving my monthly lifetime zen stipend on since I purchased it a couple of years ago, but I really want the USS Kelvin as well, so will also end up picking up that Into Darkness bundle eventually. Only other ship I am really interested in purchasing, because I love the look of, is the USS Europa (Nimitz Class from Discovery). That's a long time saving zen though. Maybe I will breakdown and use more real $'s to pick those up. We shall see.
It's nice to have so many different constitutions in the game. Although I do like the 10th anniversary bundle, I feel that some of the ships are underwhelming which is why I don't think I'll ever purchase it
For me it depends. The Kelvin version is my favorite when it comes to aesthetics, but the Discovery version is the best to fly because of the hangar bays. Honestly, though I started with TNG so I'd take the Enterprise-D over any of those.
If I had to pick, I'd definitely rather choose John eaves Concept (Gamma) version of Discoprise, yes (still Acknowledging the T.O.S/Prime Enterprise anyway - Respect)!
I might have missed it, but how would you explain the usefulness of the Mirror Connie Warship? The trait, Terran Goodbye seems pretty nice and I'm intrigued by the double Commander seating. TYTY
Yep, my top 5 favourite starship classes named Enterprise: 1. S.S Enterprise (NX Refit edited variant) 2. Enterprise C (Ambassador) 3. Enterprise D (Galaxy) 4. Enterprise E (Sovereign) 5. Enterprise F (Odyssey). +NCC-1701 (TOS via Fan Enhanced).
Well I LM going to get the Enterprise G when I finish the next full season event! (I was going to get the Inquiry but I got the temporal light cruiser Connie for my temporal recruit)
Jeffries concept: When you've always wondered what Phase II would have been like so you use that ship and put your captain and crew in a mix of TMP/WoK uniforms. (Provbert Ambassador: Because it's a better design than the cannon butt ugly Ambassador.)
Because of this youtube post I have to mention that back in 2010-2011 I got banned from the Star Trek Online Forums for challenging John Van Citters for asking why there isn't a Endgame Constitution in a game that was basically a Star Trek Sandbox. Come 2016 The Kelvin Constitution and the Temporal Light Cruiser comes out. Now there is like... 10ish Constitutions in Sto.
So let me get this straight;... the only way that I can have an unlocked Constitution on my account is to get it as a bundle or get it in a bundle? that's too much money! (I'd probably get one bundle and call it a damn day, lol)
The TOS d7, Connie and tliss have the same console and trait, but are certainly not the same reskinned ship. They all have different secondary specs, the d7 can use cannons and the tliss is an escort with tac commander. Doesn't make the bundle worth it tho
If you're on console you probably know this by now but just in case it's out and on sale for i think another week at least (not certain), there's a zen sale active as well so it's decently cheap
T.O.S/Phase II USS Enterprise - Yes, J.J. Abrams's USS Enterprise (Kelvin Timeline) - No! *For me, however, it's Donnie (Discovery variant/ Discoprise via Gamma - john eaves Concept version)! *T.M.P version is so overrated, indeed!
