The answers are interesting: They seem to consider suitability that matches their personality? It's good that they are careful considering the pros of marrying a foreigner and the possible cons with respect to needing to know the difference between "image" and "actuality". For example, the first lady seems to have quite an energetic personality and no doubt feels she'd match better with a freer mindset but is aware there might be some illusions about her ideas of the US and freedom: Namely, it's important to know the challenges: Where do people choose to live? How? How do they integrate? Are they both able to do so? How do you combine different families and also between themselves; different expectations from each other that leads to a happy and successful marriage and then taking on the roles of father and mother to raise happy, functional and successful children? There is a lot to consider. Attraction is important but so too are practicalities and realities. The good thing about their answers is they seem to understand themselves, their own personalities and what might match that. That's a good start.
