All of these are beautiful but there is just something about a round diamond that makes it stand out above the rest . The sparkle, the clarity . Love your tulip setting, my setting is similar in design which is probably why I am drawn to your tulip setting ! Just so super pretty all of them !
Hi Bonnie! Can you show/explain how different diamond shapes will sparkle differently and especially in different lighting conditions (dim lighting, outdoor, office lighting etc)?
@@kimiyanovin7568 a lot more and I find a round sparkles in any type of lighting, even on a rainy gloomy day ! Go into any jeweler and put a round diamond next to any other shape diamond and it will surely speak for itself ! However it also depends on your taste , beauty is in the eye of the beholder , some like the type of sparkle (toned down crushed ice like appearance ) you get from a fancy shape diamond like an oval or a radiant cut . Diamonds are all personal preference I think ! Hope that helps
Hi dear! So in most of my videos you will see that I try to show the diamonds in daylight/ studio lighting. They all sparkle in different ways but I'll add those notes to my list 😊
There are so many beautiful diamond cuts and settings. These rings are gorgeous! For me, even after 21 years, a quality radiant diamond solitaire in a Plat. tapered cathedral setting is still my favorite. I love the 1.8 mm band for a 1-1.5 carat. I do love a deleciate basket setting and your tulip setting too. 🥰
When we were poor college students, I chose a diamond wedding band with two rows of round stones and one of baguettes up the middle in white gold. It was one of a kind and not what everyone was getting then. Forty years later I still love my unique band. Years later my darling husband, gave me my dream solitaire and another diamond band. While it’s beautiful, I still love my original band more because it represents a great deal of effort for him to buy me something so lovely. Sometimes getting the perfect thing right away isn’t the best thing.
As an engagement ring, I'd always pick a round. But if I bought a non-engagement ring, I'd lean toward a heart. I also like emerald and cushion cuts. I think cushions and ovals give the illusion of a bigger stone over rounds. In color stones, I have oval rings and earrings because of the large stone illusion characteristic.
Hi Bonnie. It’s so funny how my tastes have changes over the decades. In the 80’s and early 90’s I loved the marquis shape, then in the late 90’s early 20’s I loved the princess. Now I love the cushion and emerald cut. I love these videos but I think I’m going to have to come for a visit soon 😊
Love the tulip setting. Beautiful. I have chubby fingers so I’m thinking marquise or oval to elongate finger. My favourite is Asscher cut or emerald.love the pear too. Oooh. I love the cushion cut too.
That’s funny that 1.5 ct is referred to as a small diamond. In country where I live small diamond is 0.1ct and not too many people have diamonds above 1ct (it would be considered big) 😅 The tulip setting is beautiful!
Hey Bonnie, I’m trying to decide which jeweler to go to for a bigger carat size (thinking between 6-10 carats). It would help to see a video on bigger carat sizes from you. Especially with different shapes (looking to do an oval, round, cushion or pear shape).
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. Make sure to check out our video on Round Diamond Carat Size, in case you haven't, here's our link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZZQ5wYxbeN0.html Hope this helps! -Team By Bonnie 💎
Hi dear! It's important to have a professional inspect if the fluorescence of the stone affects the appearance. In my experience, only a very small percentage of diamonds that have fluorescence actually affect the stone. Most of them don't, and actually make the stone really bright 😂 it might be an unpopular opinion vs what you will read online but some of the most amazing diamonds I've seen have fluorescence. ❤❤
Hi! Love your videos! Can you do a 4ct round solitaire with thicker pave band and pairing with thicker vs same size eternity wedding bands of dofferent stones (round, cushion, oval emerald etc.)? Pleeasseeeeeeee❤
Hey there! We definitely recommend you watch our video on Ring pairing, in case you haven't already! Here's our link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LCix0pzXI-A.html
Bonnie.. I LOVE your channel and jewelry. Do you, by any means, make jewelry for us diamond lovers that is NOT in a relationship but want a gorgeous diamond ring? I am obsessed with emerald cut diamond, but i am not in a relationship. Do you have any suggestion for us that is not in a relationship but love a gorgeous diamond ring to crown our finger? Please tell me you do.. Cheers!
Hi dear! I'm glad you are enjoying it. To be honest, I make a lot of rings for clients that are gift to self (who are not in a relationship). I have a NEW video upcoming that is emerald cut in bezel set OMG would be perfect as a gorgeous ring to have that's not bridal 😍😍😍 please stay tuned!
Can you do a video about the round diamond or oval or certain shape diamond around the type of band on the ring? I think I saw one with emerald cut. Would love to see one for round like marquise band on the ring or trellis band, etc
Hi dear! Each diamond shape is cut different therefore it reflects light differently as well. Also, you will notice that when diamonds are viewed under directsunlight vs. diffused lighting, it will look different as well.
The round is cut with more depth and a smaller surface table. The oval is shallower with a wider surface table. She explained it in simpler terms on the video than the professional terms used here😂
Hi dear! While pearls are gorgeous, its definitely not an ideal gem choice for an engagement ring & wedding band due to its softness. It also can get damaged by coming in contact with perfume, hairspray etc. If you still want to go ahead with it, just know that eventually it will have to be replaced. Enjoy 🎉
Have you ever set a cushion A symmetrical? Like diagonal? I have a nice heirloom old European cushion very round. 2.25 carat about 8.8mm that I feel like May look beautiful set diagonally
Hi Bonnie! Can you share approximate measurements of a 1.8-1.9ct oval so we can check finger coverage? I checked on your website but couldnt find the measurements...Thank you!!
How do people decide between tulip cathedral and non cathedral? Is there a difference in the way it fits with bands or is one more traditional than the other
@ByBonnieJewelry Thankyou your rings are absolutely STUNNING. Do you think you will ever do Moissanites rings for those unable to afford real diamonds 🙏🏻🥰xxx
